People say Jesus saves, but I don't even think he could save the lobster I was served at this establishment. The lobster was inedible. It was cut into weird chunks, was incredibly overcooked, and was way way too salty. By comparison the steak was very underseasoned and had not had the fat rendered and gristle removed. The vegetables were cut terribly, some pieces were huge, some were tiny, so of course half of it was raw. They didn't even bring us the right kind of rice, and the food overall was very bland. The waitress was understanding and gave discounts and comps as necessary, which was the only positive experience. I sincerely hope that young lady finds a better restaurant to work for. read more

First let me say that the food was quite good. That was about the only redeeming thing about our first and most likely last visit. We were seated as soon as we entered on Saturday afternoon. The place was about 1/3rd full, the lunch crowd having left. We were seated in the back of the restaurant in a tight corner up against the wall next to another table that was really close. Let me explain here, you don't try to squeeze two fat people into a cramped space next to other even fatter people who have their chairs pushed back all the way into your table. We asked if we could have another spot with a little more room, and were told "no, none are available". I'm looking out and see at least 5 other tables with much more elbow room. I point them out and was told that because of social distancing we can't use those. I tell the young lady that we are seated almost in this other ladies lap and want to know why the same rule doesn't apply here at this table. She snorts, makes no response and walks off. The heavy lady does her best to adjust her chair so we can sit down and says they have been waiting 15 minutes for drinks and to place their order. We look for a menu but a sign on the wall has a QR link to the online menu. I don't carry a Smartphone due to security restrictions in my employment and have something similar to an old style flip phone with specialized job dependent features. So no scanning a QR code. I get up find another waitress and request a menu. I am informed that none are available and she proceeds to explain how to use the online version. I don't interrupt her because after a few moments of her speaking I know the concept of not having an Android or I Phone would most likely be more than her synaptic processing could handle and might cause her to "like yuhknow like overload yuhknow". The heavy lady we were squeezed in with was kind enough to let us use her phone to view the food options. The online site has some serious interface issues and is not user friendly. The menu is displayed as low a resolution image that must be clicked on to open each page to view. You cannot swipe to go the next page, but instead have to use the back button on the phone which closes the application rather than returning to the main page. So rescan and reopen the menu. Not well designed at all. 25 minutes later the waitress arrives and takes our order. That is an unreasonably long time and I had already wanted to leave but my wife asked me to be patient, she really wanted to try this establishment. Almost an hour after originally being seated they brought our drinks and my wife's food. We were supposed to have soup and salad before the entree but that was forgotten. After another 15 minutes, not exaggerating 15 minutes they bring my food. Typically a parties food is served at the same or close to the same time so you don't have to sit there and watch everyone else eat before their food gets cold waiting the quarter hour for yours to arrive. I asked about our missing salad and soup. I was told they had forgotten and could place the missing items in containers to go. When asked about removing the missing items from the bill we were told it was not an option as it had to be charged like it was on the menu. Hmmmm I didn't receive the food that was on the menu now did I? As I said the food did taste good, but the portion size was surprisingly small for a lunch for two people that cost $53.00. It makes me wonder if perhaps we were the subject of discriminatory policies. Lets provide poor service, small portions, missing food, and horrible attitude to the polychromatic (person of more than one color) fat people so they will understand they need to eat less. Lets cram them into a small space at the back of the restaurant so they won't be seen by other more attractive, and skinny people. I'm not saying this is the establishments official policy but it sure is the impression they project. So in conclusion the food was good, the service was beyond horrible, portion size was unusually small, and the price certainly did not reflect the dining experience. read more

My wife and I ate here for the first time last week but it will not be our last. She had the sushi sampler platter with a tempura shrimp roll and I had the sashimi platter with a salmon skin roll. I really like this place. I've been there several times and had the teppenyaki. Food is plentiful and tasty. Chefs do a good job of entertaining the table. My only qualm is that twice I've been seated with tables of 6 or more very young children. It would be nice if the hostess would separate those on a date night from birthday parties of noisy messy kids. Kinda detracts from the ambiance. read more

Great food, but the wait was awful! We were there for 2 hours. They were terribly understaffed so they were frantic.

We stopped in for lunch after seeing the reviews, and the high ratings were justified! We had several appetizers for variety, and they were really great and nicely sized for sharing a meal. Loved the spring rolls, the gyoza, tempura shrimp w/vegetables! The fried rice was good, but I would love a fried rice with some veggies, different meats, and egg- generally we find listed as a house fried rice. They didn't have it, so it's a suggestion. I'm also lactose intolerant and the chef was so nice in coming out to talk to us about switching one dish due to the sauce. We could leave it on the side or switch it to the tempura plate which was totally safe. It was just very thoughtful for her to do that, I appreciated it very much. The staff was super friendly and attentive, the place is clean and decorated in a nice modern Asian flair. They have hibachi areas to sit where a chef puts on a food show, and regular tables as well (what we chose). Overall, great lunch, and wonderful food. Oh, and Barnes & Noble is next door so you can browse and walk around before or after, that's my perfect date night! read more

I am not one to leave reviews however in recent experience it had made me want to. I had a birthday dinner there with a large group of people and prior reservations. I had a few more show than was planned. We had to wait to be seated and did not mind doing so as long as we could sit together. Not a problem. To explain my group that I invited some did not know each other at all and some knew each other but did not have contact or even see one another daily (remember that). We had 2 waiters that split the group in half. 1 waiter was great and ontop of it. The other was horrible and incredibly slow. So slow that one half had their drinks and even had food cooking with the great waiter while the other half was still waiting to even place drink orders. So half the group was finished with their meal while the other half was just then getting theirs and that was disappointing when you want to eat as a group. I wanted a smooth dinner and also socialize I just let the issue go. The food was good so we could not complain, it wasnt cold, there was no hair in it, etc. After the dinner and we left I had plans to go out for drinks with some of those same friends. I began receiving cancellations, texts, and calls because more than half of my group became sick. The had diarrhea, they had to go several times, stomach cramps. I was fortunate enough to not experience this but I even received calls and texts the next few days from friends saying they had gotten sick after dinner. It made me feel bad for inviting them to a new place only to get sick. Today I left a review on their Facebook page and their manager contacted me personally wanting to know the details of the situation. I explained it to her however the entire conversation was probably the most unprofessional that I have ever experienced. One of the 1st messages that she sent me was sorry I am slow I am driving so my instant reaction is why are you even trying to handle a situation while you are driving not only for your safety but it's against the law and that is not how you handle the situation especially one that deals with business. She then lets me know that they were closed today but they have surveillance cameras to look back which I do not understand the purpose of looking at surveillance cameras. She then asked why did I not come to her over the situation and I let her know because there really was not anything that could be done the service was slow for half the table but the food was OK and all I wanted was a smooth birthday. She then is defensive and tells me that they are a very clean establishment and that the inspectors come in to check that there is no roaches or anything and I can speak to the inspector and that she eats their daily and does not get sick so that it is usually not the food. I had explain well alot of these people I invited were not close friends. No one showed up sick and passed a germ and suddenly everyone is sick like she seems to be claiming. I let her know that I left a review because it needed to be known and I did not leave a review expecting a refund but I do think that it needs to be publicly acknowledged that clearly the food makes people sick which is my main concern. Her entire response was useless and unprofessional and it wasn't until hours later that I received a response to my review from the business saying we are sorry and we hope that you come back. In my opinion she has only made the situation worse and she has lost a party of 25 from ever returning to that establishment. Once again I hate being that person that has to leave reviews are sound like the bad guy because that is not me but if the manager is going to contact me only to be defensive with the most ridiculous excuses ever then I think that it does need to be known. read more
