    Cochinita Pibil Burrito $12.50
    Erik G.

What I Ordered: Cochinita Pibil Taco $4.00 Cheeseburger $6.00 Cochinita Pibil Burrito $12.50 This place has been on my radar for a while. Being that Cindy S. recommended it, I had to go! We've been exploring different parts of the city, and today was Los Feliz. I wasn't very hungry, but I made room for Yuca's. I ordered the Cheeseburger, which is a simple burger, but trust me, it's amazing! It's like a classic work picnic burger with all the fixings. If you're hungry and don't want a burrito, get a double cheeseburger - they're small. The Cochinita Pibil Burrito is incredible. It's made with slow-roasted, shredded pork, a Yucatecan dish, and is loaded with beans. It's one of the best burritos I've had recently. I also got a Cochinita Pibil Taco for my wife, but she wasn't in the mood for Mexican, so I ate it the next day, and it wasn't fresh anymore, so I won't review it. I highly recommend the Cheeseburger and the Cochinita Pibil Burrito at Yuca's. You won't regret it!

Est. 1976- On this particular visit, the credit card machine was down so they could only take cash. I was a little short, but the nice lady took what I had and told me, that next time, I would owe her $1.70. After she took my order, I went to my car and was able to scrape together enough change to cover my food. I asked for some salsa to go. She didn't have any little containers, so she just gave me a 1/3 full bottle of El Yuccateco hot sauce. How cool is that? 5 stars for that service! As luck would have it, my food was also excellent. I had the Conchinita Pibil Burrito. The shredded pork, pickled onions, pinto beans and salsa was so very tasty. Also amazing is the Bean & Cheese Burrito. It's simple but so delicious. Yes, they use American cheese slices, but the beans and the tortillas make up for the simple cheese. I really enjoyed it. Regardless, this little Yuca' hut has been doing something right for almost 50 years. That's better than most, with or without cheese slices! I'l be back.

Regular Cheeseburger (under the hood). A single burger is $6.50- get a double cheeseburger for only 0.50 cents more: $7.00.

Established in 1976. I been stopping by Yuca's for years! My parents introduced me to Yuca's; and now as an adult, I bring my husband and children to this little cute taco shack- they love it. I was happy to hear that they are recognized by the James Beard Foundation. I personally get and recommend : the COCHINITA PIBIL BURRITO. Yuca's does not make fresh tortillas on the premise, but they do source it from a local well - known tortilla factory called Tortilleria La California. My second recommendation is their CHEESEBURGER. Try it. You wouldn't think to order a cheeseburger from a taco shack, but just do it. One of the best cheeseburgers around. Very simple and made perfectly- don't ask for them to customize it, order it as is. Tip: the burgers are on the small side (tiny), so maybe order TWO cheeseburgers if you are hungry or don't want to share! :D Lastly, am not a fan of the tacos here or carne asada. I stick to the cochinitas pibil burritos and cheese burger. Just my preference. -Cash and Credit accepted. -Parking available (private lot). -Second newer location in Pasadena.

If Jonathan Gold recommended it, I will eat it!! This place has been on my list for YEARS!! Because it's down the street from my Pilates studio, I never want to go because I'm just done being healthy and I get a cheeseburger?!?! But I felt the urge last week and loved it. It seriously was gone in five bites. Adorable little hut from which the magic is created. Burgers are freshly made so it takes a short minute but so worth it!

Yuca's gets lots of love from her neighborhood. Either we didn't get the right things, or it was an off day, but I thought what we had was underwhelming. We got the chili verde and pollo burritos. Both were small in portion and bland in taste. The location is convenient as it is basically a stand in a parking lot. It's seems like the locals all know they are cash only. I didn't know prior coming, and was told they don't take cards. Thank goodness I had cash on me that day.

The service was super friendly and helpful. They had great recommendations! I ended up getting 2 of each taco - the carnitas were my favorite by far. There's not a lot of additional fixings to add but you really don't need to. The vibe is chill. The place is basically located in a Silverlake parking lot with a lot of outdoor seating, mostly under an awning. I would go back!

steak sandwich was the standout from the three items we tried. loved the ingredients inside and the meat. the carne asada taco and hot dog were good but not too memorable. there's plenty of parking and made relatively quickly

One of my favorite places to stop in for a quick bite , I get the same thing all the time the Carne asada burrito. It is so delicious! It's located in a small parking lot next to a liquor store , they have a couple tables outside. Family owned , great service , very friendly staff. Placed my order run to the liquor store to get a drink by the time I come back my order is ready .

First time trying the tamale de asada ohh sorry I mean asada burrito. A small flat burrito with very little meat but it's good. Way better asada burrito than Baja California Tacos down the street on hillhurst and Franklin

I saw this place on television and made a note to visited next time I was in LA. They did not disappoint! I got a chili dog with cheese and onions, and it was amazing! The chili was very dark and I've been cooking for hours . I think that I might like a little lighter chilly, but this was amazing! I also got the award-winning Cochinita Pibil taco. It was fine. Tasty. But my least favorite thing I tried. My wife and I agreed that the double cheeseburger was the clear STAR of the show!!! Holy Cow!! THIS is the cheeseburger you have been looking for. Thanks to YE Hamlet O. for the heads up on that. Wow! We'll be back. This place is special.

The menu is quite simple, but beware that no prices are listed on the main menu, but they are on the paper menus. They accept Apple Pay/credit cards. I ordered the asada burrito and the pollo caramelo and added the grilled poblano (as recommended on Yelp!). The tortillas were the true stars -- soft, nice chew, with a buttery mouth feel (probably lard). The fillings were just ok. The inside reminded me of a Taco Bell 7 layer burrito -- a lot going on but all the flavors kinda blend together. I (incorrectly) thought the beans were refried, but they are not. Whatever is going on inside, I didn't find much structure. The burrito was the best. The caramelo was a lazily folded burrito. I read that it was like a quesadilla, but I couldn't disagree more. I would skip this next time. I spent $25 and it was a lot of food, but I wasn't impressed, especially given the hype and the fact that LA should really be the pinnacle of Mexican food. Not sure if I'll make a second trip here.

Now when you pull up originally you might think, "am I in the right place" but once you park and get into the courtyard, it is LOVELY! Amazing ambience! There is a bocce set up, string lights. It is a little slice of oasis in the middle of the fashion district. The restaurant itself - beautiful. I couldn't ask for more. Absolutely perfect in my book. Beautiful plants hanging, perfect Spanish music in the background (any place playing Natalia LaFourcade is a win). The drinks were great! I had the jungle bird which was fun. Food was so good too. The whipped beans are the star! We had the guacamole which was tasty, great tostadas with it. The arepas were good but the pork belly was a little too fatty (I know pork belly is always fatty) to the point the fat muted the flavored for the arepa a bit, but still delicious. The empanadas were great and as someone who lived in South America and ate empanadas every day, these really took me back to my Paraguay days. The squash blossoms were light and perfectly fried. Unfortunately my friends had gone to Funke the night before so they were comparing the squash blossoms and Funke won out, but they still liked Dama's! Small plates were enough for the 3 of us. The service was quick and attentive. Parking was easy for us. I will definitely be back!

The staff are lovely humans who really seem to care about their customers. We have some faves on the menu. The bean dip is fabulous and I'm addicted to the baby gem salad. They have recently amped up the filling in the delicious crispy squash blossoms and I love the acidity and heat. The fish is also a hit in my books. One dish that doesn't work for me is the lamb chops, which is a shame since it's my favorite protein. I've ordered them multiple times with clear instructions on temperature and have found them overcooked and tough. The beef tostada was just ok. Whilst I loved the pickled veg on the side, the beef was underseasoned. It wasn't bad - just not up to the standard of other dishes. The vibe in the place is welcoming and the restaurant is nicely appointed. We will continue to be regulars and it's really worth trying if you haven't been yet.

The waiter recommended the crispy shrimp taco, but I actually enjoyed the vegetarian tacos more. I love cauliflower and poblano so that taco was a great starter. So much flavor and a variety of textures. The tortillas were super flavorful too. The potato taquitos came next and I am actually obsessed.
