I wanted to order a monster 120" movie screen for my man cave and couldn't find a shipper who would handle such a long item without getting nailed by special charges. YRC got to me from Atlanta, GA for only $36. Their website tracking was easy to use and fairly accurate (given the challenge of predicting when ocean freighters arrive and the teamsters unloading containers). They called me promptly when the item landed and arranged for delivery just like they said they would on the website. Very impressed with YRC Shipping. I read on their website that they specialize in heavy hauling. UPDATE: I just found out that locally we know them as YELLOW Trucking. For whatever it's worth the driver was really friendly and helpful. I will give them business if I ever start bringing in product from the mainland again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. read more

Too bad I can't give zero stars. These guys are horrible. I bought a product on the Mainland from a company that uses these guys to deliver. YRC scheduled a delivery during a 4 hour window with a promise to call one hour before delivery. Because the delivery was to drop a product weighing hundreds of pounds curbside, we had to hire help to bring the product inside our home. Not only did YRC fail to call, they simply didn't show up. When we called them after they failed to show, nobody answered their phone. We then complained to the company on the Mainland who eventually got hold of YRC, who then lied about the delivery window, claiming it was for a time we never would have scheduled because nobody would be home. Our contractor then went down to their yard and learned that the real reason they didn't deliver was because their driver (they only have one driver?) failed to show up for work and YRC simply didn't feel the need to let us know. Add to this that my wife left voice mail messages for YRC to call her back and they still haven't done so. Worst customer service ever. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. This company is the worst of the worst. We had a delivery from them that was for an item that was being shipped for the 2nd time because of damage, paid for by a third party. The item arrived through YRC and the delivery person volunteered to bring the item off of the truck onto our 4' wide loading dock into the building, maybe a total of 15'. I signed off, no problems. Then we receive a bill for $65 for delivering indoors! There was no warning, no mention, nothing in writing or verbally mentioning that we would be charge $65 to bring the item inside. No other shipping company I have ever dealt with has ever even mentioned trying to do something like this. They have all brought similar items inside our building without a problem. We as a company have refused to pay and now they are actually bringing in a lawyer. Ridiculous, awful company and as promised I will be spreading the word as to how bad they are to everywhere and everyone I can. read more
