This location is super conveniently located and the facilities were always clean and well-kept. I really liked the 24 hr access so I could pick things up/ drop things off after hours and not deal with traffic. I forget the movers names but they were both prompt, handled my items delicately with care, didn't take their sweet time they worked very very hard, disassembled and reassembled a near 50 year old antique silik hutch that I have inherited , they moved everything exactly where it needed to be in my new place, were very polite and respectful and did not damage anything or steal at all. I've dealt with another moving company in the past where I suspected some jewelry went missing. They are the quickest at responses, very reasonable pricing, flexible with their schedules, all in all I am very satisfied and have asked them to move another thing for me as well. 10/10 recommend. My first storage unit ever and I'm a "senior". lol I called around Honolulu and happened to reach the Waialae location next to H1. I got a very nice female rep who explained how everything works. I mean everything! I asked a zillion questions, and her patience never waivered. That was how I picked this place. I told her I was on a budget/retired and she suggested I take a spot in the basement to save even more money and that's what I did. When I first arrived there was a computer error that kept us both busy for over an hour. I was moving myself and so tired, with a torn meniscus in my knee. She brought me a chair from behind her desk to use while she battled the computer program. Who does that? I can recommend using this storage location. The website is crystal clear and very modern. I'm on autopay and even get a reminder email before they take out the monthly amount on my bill. Another way to save $$, bring your own lock rather renting one of theirs and provide your own insurance to save another $15/month. Then I looked at app and my bank app and saw that I was charged for this month when I cancelled the unit the month before well before my bill due date. I'm upset that their system has charged me for this month. I should not have been charged and see that the next month is also still in my account as pending to be charged. This ruins all the great things they did in the beginning.

I'm very disappointed with this Public Storage location for several reasons…read more Yesterday (5/30), I went to access my unit and once again had trouble finding parking. There is very limited parking available, with only three interior loading/unloading stalls. I rarely need to visit my unit, but when I do, it often becomes a frustrating experience before I even get inside. If those three stalls are full, where are customers supposed to park and walk in? Access to the facility is also inconsistent. The gates are frequently disabled--sometimes the main entrance, other times the back exit--so I never know which entrance will actually be available. That makes getting in and out unnecessarily confusing and inconvenient. The advertised "open every day" message is also misleading. While the facility may technically be open daily, customer access hours are limited. At the same time, it often feels like unauthorized individuals, including people experiencing homelessness, are able to access the property more easily than paying customers. The only reason I continue renting here is because the location is convenient to my home. Otherwise, based on the parking limitations and ongoing access issues, I would likely choose another storage facility. "I hope management addresses these concerns, because the location itself is convenient, but the customer experience has been consistently frustrating."

Why I recommend Storquest is their military-friendly policy, customer parking, and they accept…read morepackages which has been useful option for me to receive packages securely even heavy and oversized. My Storquest experience has been with two locations (Kakaako and Kalihi sites) Hours Both of which vary according to the type of storage and access hours are store hours, open 7 days at Kalihi and 6 days at Kakaako being half day Saturday. Locks -- Kalihi site requires you to purchase their unique storage locks which cannot be used at other sites -- Kakaaka site has storage units with rings you can provide your own affordable locks and any lock that can fit their rings large or small . Units -- Kalihi offers AC or non-AC units but elevator was out of service at the time so difficulty to have an upstairs unit . It makes a difference if you have a bottom or top unit even at first floor since top units have only a cage wire covering whatever floats in the air can accumulate onto your items. While bottom units are subject to whatever the above storage unit may have leaking or spilling into the bottom unit such as cat food that spilled through corners into bottom unit. -- Kakaako only offers non-AC units and has working elevator. ** I prefer Kakaako because I live nearby and I found an awesome sale for $36/mo 2x8 door standard and 8 ft long at ground level. Because it was previously two units that had become one, access was a front and back door (double door) I found really useful. Communication with staff -- It varies. -- Kalihi staff has always reached out to me, left me messages when packages arrive. -- Kakaako is not the same, when packages arrive I had to reach out and inquire , not knowing when it would arrive calling every day sometimes waiting on the line to find out nothing arrived yet. It would be nice if they could let me know when they receive a package so i dont have to call every day. Accomodation Both sites accomodate with plenty of ladders and carts. More so than other storage companies. Transferring between units within one site for changing sizes is with ease too. Starting or Closing account -- Offers renter insurance or provide your own and they refund their charge if you have your own. -- First come first serve and can reserve if you happen to find a good find. -- No refunds Unlike other storage companies, they do not refund any credit left on account when closing out so plan accordingly.

Today, I went to my storage unit, and a person was actually living in the one in front of mine. I got so scared! Music was blaring and the man was passed out. I called a worker and they stayed with me while I emptied my unit. The man woke up and left. This was the second time in 2 months that I have seen people living in those storage units. This is NOT A SAFE PLACE! Later as I was leaving, I saw that same man dumpster diving next door, and then crouching in the corner. I have cancelled my unit. Do not rent from them, they let homeless people live there.
