Despite its misgivings. I think Yellow tried to buy out to many companies to fast. COVID didn't help the situation either. When you have 5 other companies being bought out everyone had there own way of doing service for customers. Own way of thinking. It's a shame we had so many customers that wasn't satisfied. Speaking only for myself. I tried my very best to service my route customers best way I could. Even when they were upset or mad. I felt when I left my customer locations they felt better knowing that someone cared. Some even Said they were sorry and said I know it wasn't your fault. I worked for YRC/Yellow for 25 years. And still miss the employees I worked with and some of my regular customers I delt with for years. To the customers that wasn't satisfied. My apologies. Things wasn't perfect but it was a great company to work for and the best benefits I ever had. It changed my life completely after the doors closed. And it's never been the same since. I've used YRC several times, always picking up or dropping off at their terminal. Every forklift driver has been nice. They are competitive on price and that is a big plus. IMO all of their problems stem from having unionized workers; there is no sense of urgency (i.e. maybe my customers' time is valuable!) at all. If you had a job that was secure whether you worked hard or not, you probably wouldn't bust your a** either. read more

Wow, just read some of the reviews and couldn't agree more! This company needs communication training because the lack of communication is what they are great at. Tried to call yesterday and line was busy all day. Finally talked to a girl in South Dakota that cared about my dilemma but the local person here in Colorado doesn't seem to care and just emailed me and said that it could be days or weeks before somebody contacts me. I received a call a week before to "schedule" my delivery. They gave me a time and date that I agreed too. I take a half day PTO to make sure I am home for the delivery between 1-5 pm. 4:30 pm comes with no sign of deliver so I try to call and they closed at 4:30. No call and no show on my scheduled deliver. This is after I took PTO to be here. Terrible company... go anywhere else. They just keep saying sorry with no reschedule and no consideration for my time. read more

I've used this company a hand full of times and each and every time I call to schedule I get the rudest ladies possible. I can deal with a little attitude here and there, sometimes you just have a bad day. But literally every single woman I have spoke to acts like I'm ruining their day by calling and scheduling pick ups and asking questions. The don't explain a single detail. Absolutely terrible. I wont be using them again. I do have to shout out Kevin V. in customer service for being polite and courteous, which I wasn't expecting. The delivery drivers are also polite so maybe the problem is just the scheduling department. read more

I purchased an engine on eBay, the seller used YRC to ship. I, of course, paid for it. It's a day's drive, I wish I'd just driven it. The engine would be in my car now. As it is, the car just sits on a lift waiting for an engine that should have been here two weeks ago. Your shipment will get to you when it gets to you - if it gets to you. If you complain too loudly, they will hang up on you. You will only get one warning - so watch your temper or you will have to get back in line in "Phone Hold Hell." If somehow you get your shipment only a week late - you are truly blessed. Rush out an buy a lottery ticket because things are going your way! Their tracking is a joke, they retroactively change it to reflect whatever they want it to reflect. When your package doesn't arrive, they simply state the dates are an "estimate". My shipment was supposed to get here the 19th. Then the date was changed to the 22nd, followed by the 23rd, followed by the 25th. Today, the shipment is lost. Who knows where it is... In my opinion, you are putting your reputation at risk by using this company. It's a prime example of what's wrong with the shipping industry America. You've been warned. read more

YRC Freight is of course a huge corporation and as such, shows very little care in dealing with smaller LTL shipments. They have tracking services, which work fine, but the customer service and the attitudes from their city dispatch center is horrendous. My shipment was to be delivered on 11-13-17. It was not, and there was no communication about it. I followed it online and it was to be delivered on 11-15-17. On the 15th it went on the truck, but apparently they don't have access to Google Maps, because they discovered after it drove around on the truck all day that it was outside of their delivery area. On the 16th, they told me it would be handed over to another shipper that could deliver it, but that they had no idea when it would be delivered. Really? They also said, if you don't like that option you can come pick it up yourself. I spoke with the staff their several times on the 16th to figure out the best option as I needed the shipment 4 days previous. I decided I would pick it up myself and told them so on 11-20-17 at 7:30 am. The staff said they would locate the shipment, move it to the front, so I could pick it up and someone would call me on Friday. I received no call on the 17th, and when I called on my way this morning, 20th, they said my shipment wasn't where it was supposed to be and Natalie was sarcastic with me. She did tell me she would speak with her co-worker about how things work here, which was again, ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE TO THE CUSTOMER, and told me that someone would call me back after 9 SOMETIME. As I right this, I'm sitting in Aurora waiting. I've called back to let them know, but they don't care. I'm not a business owner that pretty much ever gets upset. Horrible horrible horrible. I'll never purchase anything from anyone who ships with yrc. Package was scheduled for delivery on the 15th of February, they called me and told me it was pushed to the 16th, on the 16th they called me and told me it would be pushed to the 19th. On the 19th the driver shows up with the paperwork, we look in the back and it's not there! So after dealing with that all day they finally tell me oh sorry there's nothing we can do cal back tomorrow. Tomorrow come around and I call back and they seem excited that they found my package... IN UTAH 6 days after the original deliver date. So they tell me that when the truck gets back they'll see if it's even in that truck. Finally they get my shipment delivered. 2 our of 3 packages. So when I call back to find out where the third one is they tell me "oh it's on one of our hundreds of trucks in the back waiting to be unloaded so call back tomorrow. Tomorrow rolls around and they tell me it's been sitting on the truck since Monday, 3 days prior and they have I unload it still. So I had to fight with them to get them to mark it a priority otherwise it would have been sitting behind 80 other trucks. Absolutely ridiculous. If your expecting a shipment for business allow yourself an extra month to get your package. Still waiting on that package read more

I Dont know anything about Shipping but I went w/ YRC because the Broker U Ship set it up for me I Decided to Drop off my Pallet of 4 Tires and wheels at the Terminal myself 14700 Smith Rd I Couldnt of Been Happier, I pulled in and the Forklift Driver asked if I was dropping off He Immediately took the Pallet off my truck told me to put the Lables on the Pallet then to Go see Nicole at the Desk inside, Handed her the BOL she signed it I signed it DONE WOW I wasnt there 10min That was the BEST experience ive EVER Had read more

Horrible communication. The delivery window was between 10-2. They showed up at 4:30. I called at 2 to get an update, and the lady was not helpful. Use a different company if you can. read more
