Working with this place was THE worst time of my professional life. I applied for a certain…read moreposition with a certain salary budget range that was publicly shared info. I got offered a different position with a different range and when I asked questions they had no answers, despite boasting about their long-term professional relationship with the company of my position. Later, my hiring manager actually said it was his first time working with them. They told me lies based on nothing because they knew nothing about the company even though they claimed to. The person that I mainly worked with was so unbelievably unprofessional at times I was speechless. They resulted to the lowest of lows in bullying and car salesman tactics (like arguing about my employment history which is very clearly laid out on my resume, trying to convince me that I am worth less salary, telling me I should take literally any job that is more money than my current one even if it's only 2k more, etc.). And then when I called them out on their lies about what I would get in my position, the response I got was "we never said that". SERIOUSLY??? Seriously!?!? They can't even say "I apologize about that, it looks like we were incorrect"? That is a horrible and unethical business practice. Thank God I had email proof of their straight up lies. I eventually ended up talking with someone that was supposedly higher up in the chain but if another executive reads this please feel free to contact me and I will show you the unprofessionalism. The person I worked with should be dismissed from their job. Unless bullying tactics is how the entire company does business. I liked the position and the company of my position but the attitude of these people almost made me decline just so I didn't have to work with them anymore. If I didn't care about being a terrible person, I would have told the manager what was going on, and then reapplied through their website. They don't deserve any commission for coercing people into roles they might not want or might not be the best fit for them. In conclusion, if someone here contacts you about a job I would suggest looking for that exact posting on other websites or just go along with it until the initial screening interview, tell 24 seven you're not interested, and then go apply through the company instead. It will save you many hours of stupid back and forth discussion.

Elaine Buhler (Sr. Vice President, Sr. Talent Manager for Southern California) has been my advocate and found me a great job this month. Unlike other recruiters I've worked with, in the very few months we have been in touch, she has provided a very "one-on-one" sense of care to connect me to opportunities that are specific to my desires. She sought me out via Linkedin... she doesn't blindly forward me opportunities... she submitted me for a role and gave me as much insight into the correspondence with the employer to help me understand how fit for the role I was. From texts, voicemails, to short and sweet emails, Elaine made sure I felt confident and informed to succeed with landing the job. Her industry expertise and unwavering support were instrumental in landing me this incredible opportunity. I can't recommend Elaine enough to anyone seeking a dedicated and results-oriented recruiter.

She hired me to work for this company. Really great opportunity. Told me I had it. I completed so much paperwork. Gave these people ALL my personal information. To be told "we hired you but we have to wait for your background check to come back through First Advantage". 14 days later she tells me "sorry the company went with somebody else because your background check is taking too long". And no s*** lady I've sent chats everyday for the last 8 days to find out the status of my check. She did not follow up with them one time... So of course they are going to go with somebody else. I had a background check ran twice this year it only took 3 days and I have nothing on my background. So makes me think First Advantage is a fraudulent sorry excuse for a screening company right away. She did not even think twice about it and just sent me a "I'm sorry e-mail". Robert Half unprofessional and gives half ass service. I'll never deal with them again. I still have not received my background check. I'm going to report First Advantage any way I can.

My brother was contacted by this agency for a work assignment…read more He worked 2 full days. Went the 3rd day. Was sent home upon showing up to his shift. This was in June. It's nearly the middle of July. The company still hasn't paid him. For his 2 days. After many emails back and forth. Of them "working on it". He filed a complaint with the Department of Labor Commission. Very unprofessional company. Beware of them. By the looks of this yelp thread. I'm not the only one this happened to. What they are doing is highly illegal. They are breaking the law.

I applied for a sales manager position for a lighting company early December. I was contacted right…read moreaway by Erika Cervantes. She was very nice getting the interview process set up. The account was actually Cindy's client. I have worked for two start ups in the past, but no where near the nightmare I had with this company I worked at, for one week. Let me start with everything I had to go through to even land the job. Two in person interviews with me writing a complete business plan through PowerPoint, which took me three days to complete. Three past employer references checked, in which they had to answer 30 questions each about my performance. I specifically said I did not want to work for a company with products from China because of quality control issues. Everyone assured me they were made in Germany. They are in fact made in China I found out. I went through a background check and credit check. I started the job on Jan 2nd and quit Jan 11th! The first day I got there the owner did not show up until 5:15 PM. There was no office for me, I was sent to a big room upstairs at a card table with a fold up chair. I should of left that minute. The owner kept the office at 59°, which the other employees told me he is cheap and does not want to turn on the heater. I spent eight hours sitting at the same table with him kicking each other underneath the table and I asked him for a better chair. I also expressed to him that I needed my own space even if it was across the room with my own desk, his reply was no you're fine here with me. See the pics I posted of my work area. I called Cindy on my second day and she said you have to give a new job 90 days!!! Are you kidding me??? 90 days is when you get your full commission!!! He was supposed to get me a company car which didn't happen and said he was going to rent one for me after we got back from Dallas at a lighting tradeshow. That Thursday afternoon my flight was still not booked and he had one of the other employees run to Office Depot to make me some temporary business cards. I don't know too many people who can just fly by the seat of their pants when traveling, we have commitments and thing to be prepared for when we are going out of town. I felt like this whole job was bait and switch from the beginning. I was told they had been in business for 4 years when one of the reps confirmed they have only been in business for a year and a half. He also told me that the reason why he cannot get very many sales is because of the quality control issue and a lot of the products are faulty. I contacted the CEO at Nelson, about everything I had gone through and he referred me to Chandra. She did call me and seemed like she cared at first, and asked what she could do to make it right. I said find me a new job that's isn't a bait and switch. I also spoke with the branch manager. Of course no one from this office has contacted me again, completely ghosted me. I also received a thank you card with Cindy's business cards asking for a referral, long after I was gone. Obviously they're not good at follow-through. I've had much better luck landing quality interviews since I left that job. Recruiters should be honest with people and not just try to make a commission which is what I felt here. The owner of the company I worked for as well as everyone here at Nelson lied about the whole job description and the company! Wouldn't recommend to anyone. You can do better by yourself.

I got 1 gig from them and the company was unstable and laid off everyone within 6 months. Ever since then, I've been looking for work and for 5 months, not a single job and not even a single interview with CC. They all rave about how great my portfolio is blah blah but I doubt their email blasts are real jobs. I applied to every single job that I qualify for (some even insulting low for my experience) and either get no response and even rejections for doing Powerpoint presentations. I literally don't know who is getting hired by anyone at CC. People said they were good in the past but these days, they're useless unless you know a recruiter directly and have a good relationship with them.
