I asked her if I can speak with Rita and that I was just in her office and I forgot to tell her something. The receptionist made a phone call and said oh sorry she is on lunch and out of the office. I said to myself.. really that quickly.Strange since I just was with her 3 min ago.. This was my first and only interaction with her in person. After several months with no auditions or coaching opportunities.. My son asked me mom why haven't I gotten a audition yet? Is it because they don't believe in me.. I told him don't worry.. there are better agencies out there. I understand that If a client likes a child they will reach out. But there wasn't even any communication at all from there side. Now my son is thriving at his new modeling agency and had auditions within the first week.. At the end of the day. Leaving DreamRay was the best decision we made. My recommendation... find someone else who really cares about your child. They also tend to focus on the ones who are "popular" on social media. So new models.. forget about it.. sorry just being honest!

I sent you an email, after I faxed you the contract, to see what were the next steps. I did not hear from you so I did not send you any pictures (and this was almost 3 weeks ago). So no, I'm not going to change my review. I will however edit the review so it's more detailed. Ive been looking for a casting agency for my daughter. After much research I found an ad on Facebook and responded to YTC's ad about a casting call (I had to email them to get the location info). I was told I didn't need to come in since I have a baby. This email conservation was over the course of a week because I only ever received an email response past 10 pm - yes, I can understand her being busy during the day. I usually get 1 sentence responses (as other Yelpers have stated). With that being said, I'm sure you're checking your email during the day and it wouldn't hurt for you to take 3 minutes out of your busy schedule to respond back. But apparently you have time during the day to respond to the negative Yelp reviews but not your potential clients. Once I did sign the contracts and signed up for the 3 casting websites as stated in the handbook, I never once heard back from Heather. I even asked her what the next steps were in the process ... but still no response. Okayyyy? It wouldn't hurt to say "Hey, send me some pictures as stated in the handbook." Now I get a bunch of spam mail from the casting websites (even though I opted out) and our mailing information stolen (from both Heather and the casting sites). Thank goodness I didn't give you our social security numbers as well! The way you keep in contact with your clients shows how terrible your company is. If you can't send me a simple email about asking for pictures, but have the time to send me 3 paragraphs in regards to my negative Yelp review is pretty pathetic. So thanks, but no thanks.

No. Screen shot for proof. Draw what conclusions you will. Original Review and Comment on Response: I had two appointments with Julie LaCroix several years ago. I ultimately thought the sessions were a waste of time and (quite a lot of) money. She decided my skill set made me a particularly good fit for a specific type of job, and she disregarded my repeated protests that the job in question went against my moral values. She made up her mind and was incapable of hearing anything that didn't align with her first (somewhat arbitrary seeming) idea. She ended our last session by throwing together a ridiculous, typo-ridden resume in a couple minutes targeted at a position I had made clear I would not apply for. (Since that time I finished my graduate degree and am working in a suitable career.) After our second meeting, I was ready to move on and not give career therapists another thought. I have not had that luxury, however, since Julie LaCroix has spammed me and stalked me on social media ever since. Every couple years, I get re-added to her email list which I have never given her permission to put me on, and she has not responded to messages asking her to desist. She also periodically tries to connect with me on social media (she is undeterred by my refusal to connect with her, and, again, does not respond to messages asking her to desist in contacting me). I understand that she thinks networking will help grow her business. I don't understand why she thinks harassing people and ignoring them when they object would be beneficial to anyone. Given her systematic abuse of my personal information, however, I am no longer surprised that she could not process my objection to an unethical career. **Regarding Response** Notice the non-denial regarding the abusive email practices I describe. Also note the absence of a statement that she would address this matter and make sure I am not re-added to her list again in the future. The rest is a matter of he-said-she-said, but why, after 11 years, would I have reason to think of her--much less make random false claims in a review? I would encourage her to check her email (julie@julielacroix.com) to see that I have, in fact, contacted her multiple time over the past 11 years to ask that she stop re-adding me to her spam list. She has also found me years after using her (dis)services and tried to get me to engage with her professional profiles on Facebook and Instagram over the years. The dishonesty/lack of integrity in her response here is appalling.
