Overall, my partner and I's experience with this company was frustrating. We paid for the top tier package with YWYW. It feels like we were let down by how things were handled especially in the last few months leading up to the wedding. They use an online tool (aisle planner) which is super helpful when there are items to discuss. However, there were numerous times we needed to email because something we wanted to discuss was not on the checklist and many times that things were lost via email. Also, the tool didn't have a convenient way for us to upload things to the portal. The vendor quotes we got for things were very limited. When we wanted an outside vendor (not on the list provided) it felt like we needed to handle that ourselves. It also was much much faster turn arounds when we spoke directly to the vendors. Stefanie is a very personable, friendly and kind person. She really does a good job of making you feel important. However, the follow through was not there leading up to our day. For example, after several weeks up no response, we finally got a response to start on invitations. We had already sent save the dates. However, the invitation design/send process started so late we had guests reach out to ask if they were uninvited because they hadn't received their official invites. Plus, we sent them so late our guests had less than 2 weeks to respond. Towards the last 6 weeks leading up to our wedding, there was a medical related incident that caused some delays - which we completely understand. People first!However, the communication, transition and delays were horrible. For example, we had another several weeks without YWYW contacting us at all. Then, we received an email stating the radio silence was based on a medical incident. We had a HUGE mishap with catering and most of the communication with the vendor was handled by the wedding planner themselves. Meaning, it was hidden from us - which is good normally. However, the day before our wedding, I asked about the final invoice and it was 30% larger than the last invoice we saw (we didn't add that much). When I seemed shocked, the first response from our wedding planner was don't worry, it's still within budget. That felt unsettling to me. It turned out the cater had misquoted the cost of staff (buffet versus plated). The wedding planner did step in and fix this once we communicated frustration with it. On the day of, everything went well. However, our wedding planner could not make the event. They had a medical issue and had first, communicated that they were going to be well enough to attend our wedding and then week of, told us that they were no longer coming. Which was totally good but the replacement wasn't good. They were often short with me, my partner, my sister and my matron of honor. They snapped at my wedding party a few times in front of me. They were hard to find often and did not have the catering issues handled - I was asked where the special diet person sat (even though this was communicated thoroughly with YWYW). If we were to do the experience again, we would do most of the planning ourselves and then hire a day or week of coordinator. We are both very organized, detailed and informative. We felt like we could have found cheaper, tested and still lovely vendors. On the bright side, I didn't like my first make up trial and the wedding planner worked really hard in one day to get me set up with another trial and contract. It helped immensely because I felt beautiful on my wedding day. They even gave me their business phone number to text/call when needed. We felt really supported here. However, it was by far the best turn around we saw. We feel overall that the ball was dropped for our wedding multiple times towards the end. However, our day ultimately was beautiful and magical. We will be grateful for some of the wonderful vendors YWYW provided to us. We wanted to get a wedding planner to alleviate some of the stress around wedding planning but felt it frustrating at times. read more

We knew we wanted a spring wedding in Austin Texas. We live in Scottsdale Arizona so for us, this was a destination wedding. Oh and did I mention super cool and down to earth and made me think I was totally normal throughout the whole process. I knew right from the start she was going to make some magic happen. Going into my relationship with Stefanie, I thought she had it made. Like, this was totally easy money for her. I'd worked for almost a year planning every detail of the wedding, so all she was gonna do was sit on a gilded throne and point vendors in the right direction, right? NOPE. On the actual day, I came to realize that my work, while important, was nothing compared to what must be done to execute the plan. I'd actually grimaced a little while cutting the check thinking it was probably too much for what I needed help with. Now I realize that's crazy talk. I should really pay her more for all she did to make our day spectacular despite the challenges of an inbred troglodytic location manager and a sudden hailstorm that threatened to derail our outdoor ceremony and dinner. Our wedding was originally scheduled for April of 2020. Due to Covid-19, of course, like many people, our wedding had to be rescheduled. Stefanie was wonderful throughout the hopeful and fun process of planning our original wedding (before we knew we were going to have to postpone). She helped us with the exciting and somewhat stressful processes and really streamlined it and made it as easy on us as possible. When is did come time for the heartbreaking decision, Stefanie helped us again through that whole process with sympathy and still a smile on her face for hope for the future. Our rescheduled wedding date was March of 2021. Actually would've been today. We again could not proceed with the wedding due to Covid, and this time, we decided just to cancel outright. Stefanie coordinated the cancellations and any refunds/credits with all our vendors, and never made us feel guilty or worse (than we already felt). She helped us with every aspect of the wedding planning through the rescheduling through the final cancellation. I felt strangely guilty for wanting a coordinator for my wedding (shouldn't I just be the smiling bride who does everything?), but thank God I swallowed that guilt! I signed on for the full package from YWYW for my 220 person wedding, and Cara was my primary coordinator w/ occasional assists from Stefanie. Let me tell you, these ladies are tech savvy and super responsive. Like me, they live on gdocs and gchat so it was always easy to get a hold of them during the day when I had questions about everything from vendors to color schemes. Cara was wonderful, and did a lot of innovative stuff with my choice of a non-traditional venue where we had to bring almost everything in -- restrooms, kitchen supplies, tables/chairs...you name it. A fellow Pinterest junkie, she also came up with great (and money saving!) ideas for decor. It was like having a good friend by your side every step of the way of the planning process, who would set you straight on cost vs. "does this really matter?" We had Kristin from YWYW and she was awesome. My fiance and I were trying to plan our wedding from China and Kristin was literally a lifesaver. The month before our wedding she contacted all our vendors and sorted out all our contracts. She also contacted any of our friends we assigned as helpers and made sure they knew what to pick and where to be. Being on a fixed budget we did most of the planning ourselves, but we hired her to step in and handle all the little details that we didn't want to worry about. She did a fantastic job! Wow, I can't believe I didn't write a review for Stephanie yet! I used her for my wedding on 11/11/11 at the W Hotel and she was absolutely amazing! I honestly didn't do anything for my wedding. She would just show me options and I would say yay or nay. It was that easy! On the day of the wedding, she was a complete lifesaver. The ceremony and the reception hall looked gorgeous and people still tell me how our wedding was the best one they've been to. When I realized we were just a few months away from our wedding and things were only getting crazier - despite my best attempts at getting everything done early - I knew it was time to call for help! After searching around a bit, I contacted a few companies that were well reviewed and felt like YWYW was a good fit for our needs. We were looking for a day of/month of coordinator who could handle all the day of details, make sure everything would run smoothly, and ensure we didn't forget anything. I met with Stefanie and Cara one morning at a Starbucks and they probably thought I was crazy - we pretty much didn't talk about the wedding at all! But since they are five star reviewed everywhere, I already knew they would do a good job - I just wanted to make sure they were the kinds of people I could spend a whole day with on my wedding day! Stefanie was already booked for my date, but Cara was still available (though now that she's about to have a baby, you might not be as lucky as I was!). After our meeting - which seriously felt like hanging out with old friends (at least for me, haha!) - I knew I wanted to hire them. You know how everyone always says the wedding planner was the best money they spent? Yeah, they're right. The last two weeks before our wedding were crazy. Like over the top insane. I would get an email from a vendor and think "oh, crap, here's another thing to do..." but before I could respond, I would see a reply from Cara! It was so awesome! My mom had this crazy idea the week before the wedding that we needed a lot more flowers, and Cara and Gretchen (from Petals, Ink. - LOVE HER!) dealt with all the mama drama. It was fantastic! I wish I could say our wedding day was perfect, but sadly even Cara can't control the weather. But she called me first thing in the morning with an update and a rain plan, and I didn't have to think about *anything* that night. I used Stephanie as a day of coordinator for my wedding on 12/11/2010. I always meant to write a review but just never got around to it. But I just had my 3rd anniversary and I was looking at pictures. I just remembered how much she helped me. Even with day of coordinating, she gave me so many helpful hints and tips before hand, including a beautiful cake caterer and very helpful checklists. The wedding coordinator we were currently working with was creating MORE work for us than we could handle and we needed a change 4 weeks before our (April 10th) wedding day! Stephanie took the time to call and tell me about her business, her values, and listen to what I needed. She kindly straightened me out when I had unreasonable expectations about the venue. She said all the right things and made me immediately feel like I could trust her to give me an honest and direct opinion. She met all my questions with straight, complete answers. When we met with Cara, our coordinator, I breathed a huge sigh of relief. She was organized, had the right questions for me to think about, and made me feel like she could handle the job without breaking a sweat. (I was right. She and Macy handled the day with finesse.) Cara worked directly with my dad-in-law to figure out transportation to the venue for about 20 guests who needed a ride from the Domain area. He raved about her professionalism and ability to field questions quickly. She was kind and could handle our family's many questions well. They all said how much they loved her! She got along with my caterer and the other vendors super well. It felt like we had the dream team working for us! She also took over managing the less-than-helpful venue coordinator. She offered insights, industry standards, and more. On the day of, I didn't have to deal with anything. I stayed out of sight until the big reveal and watched as she coordinated my already beautiful venue into the magical space I had been dreaming of. We really struck gold when we found Stephanie and her team at YWYW. I recommend hiring her if you are a bride who actually wants to ENJOY your wedding and not run around worrying about every detail like a crazy person. She will take care of every last detail for you, no matter how small or how silly. And she will make it seem effortless, because she is really good at her job. My husband and I met with Stefanie several months before our wedding, when we found out that we would be moving out of town and thought having an expert on hand would be helpful. It definitely was! Stefanie was really great from the get-go. She has a no-pressure approach, which I appreciate. Stephanie was booked for our actual date, but fortunately Kaylyn was available for day-of coordination. About a month in advance of the big day my husband and I met with both Stephanie and Kaylyn to go over details. They were very organized and gently let me know of things that I hadn't considered. (At this point I should mention that I wasn't super-duper organized and that I had taken a fairly laid back approach to things, so I really needed to hear some of these things!) Kaylyn provided me with really helpful detailed lists and took over communications with the vendors, which for me was AMAZING. I was at the point that calling one more vendor to change another order might put me over the edge, so Kaylyn's help was invaluable. The day-of was unsurprisingly chaotic (because we chose to go the DIY route it was not one of those sit around and have champagne kinda deals)... Kaylyn is such a calm and reassuring presence, and once she arrived, several hours before the ceremony, I really knew everything would be ok. She and her assistant took care of all the last minute touches and everything looked fantastic. If they hadn't been there to facilitate when we were supposed to end cocktails, start dinner, cut cake, etc. I'm not sure any of it would have happened. After we had been working together for just a few weeks, we moved our date up 7 months - Stefanie jumped on board with our crazy asses and helped us plan the best day of our lives. Folks, if you are looking for wedding planners, you will do no better than Stephanie and Cara and Kaylyn at YWYW. We had no clue who to use, and when we interviewed with Steph and Cara it just all clicked and I could tell they managed details as much as I do. Our daughter raves about them as much as we do, and she is an event planner herself in the hotel industry. We selected the venue in advance (Pecan Grove at Salt Lick), and then YWYW took over from there. We brought our wishes and suggestions to the table, and YWYW guided us, gently steered us when we would try to do something problematic, and really helped us shape the wedding nicely. Cara was our lead coordinator, and she is simply fantastic to work with. Terrific personality, and her attitude is bubbly, excited, and willing to work hard to make the day special for all involved, especially the bride and groom. We did an initial meeting with Steph and Cara, and they brought tons of ideas, vendors, and suggestions that worked so well with the venue and what the bride wanted in her wedding. Anthology Photographers...cannot say enough great things about Laura and Eric. They are highly professional, stayed out of the way, and delivered top quality photos. Very easy to work with, too. Bobalu, of course, sets the standard for wedding cigar rollers in Austin. We underestimated how many guests would want to light up a cigar. I had 50 rolled in advance, plus the roller was making them as fast as he could. We kept him very busy that night! Elegant Bee florist was on point and perfect for the rustic look and feel of the Salt Lick Pecan Grove venue. YWYW even delivered up two beer burros from Groove Labs for our guests. Seriously, the burros were probably more of a hit with our guests than the two bands. Speaking of our bands, we had John Prather as a solo artist handle ceremony duties as well as play in between sets of the main band. John is a hugely talented artist and wove in a few special request tunes he learned specifically for this wedding. He was a big hit! Spazmatics was the main entertainment for the reception, and they are well known in Austin as well as across the US. Spaz played great dance music and kept everyone moving all night long. Nice recommendation from YWYW on all the entertainment! A special shout out goes to Kaylyn from YWYW. Kaylyn handled the onsite duties on the day of the wedding, and she also was amazing. In fact, we never knew there was a problem with the main band, and Kaylyn handled everything expertly and told us about the issue only afterwards. The featured band was Spazmatics, and they had to replace their guitar player who was sick at the last minute. Spaz flew in a replacement guitarist from halfway across the US, and he arrived at the venue about 20 minutes before the band was scheduled to go on. Kaylyn was cool under pressure, coordinated the problem/solution beautifully, and was totally professional in how she handled the situation. Simply amazing and she kept us out of that stressful experience. In summary, EVERYTHING worked great with YWYW. We would hire them again in a heart beat for ANY engagement. read more

I do not even know where to begin! Stefanie and her team were beyond amazing. If you get a chance to work with them do not have any hesitations!! I'll give a few highlights from my experience with Your Wedding Your Way: I live in SF and was planning a wedding in Austin, we travel there often but thought it would be better to have someone with boots on the ground in Austin that knew the vendors and venues that we were interested in using. When looking for our venue, my husband and I had a few places in mind and Stefanie provided us with a few others that she thought would match up with the look and feel we were going for. We narrowed our selection to 5-6 and Stefanie scheduled venue visits over 2 days when we were in town for us to tour them and make a selection. Stefanie has a great network of vendors that she has worked with and was open to any of our suggestions as well. We used some of the vendors that she suggested and we selected some of our own. She was able to manage all of the vendors flawlessly. She also served as a therapist during the planning process. My husband and I had a rough start to the year we lost my grandmother and my husbands brother and a few others within a month. It was a really difficult time and she helped out not only to find a way to honor their memories during the ceremony in a very classy way (we had a saxophone player play "Fly me to the Moon") but she also offered to help us coordinate the funerals. The morning of the wedding I was a wreck and was really missing my grandmother, Stefanie took my call and made me feel 100% better. She did an awesome job of wrangling my wild wedding party and making sure we were on time and that everyone knew what they were supposed to do. Stefanie was the last one I saw before I walked down the aisle, I cried a little, gave her a hug and thanked her for everything that she did for me. Stefanie also helped us workout a billing issue that we had with the venue and kept following up for 2 months after the wedding until the issue was resolved. So imagine the feeling when - 23 days to go til your wedding - your venue just won't respond to anything. Meanwhile, my husband and I had just moved to Austin from New York, had no family in town to help us with anything, and had both just started new jobs. While we thought we could do this whole wedding planning thing ourselves, I reached a point of total exhaustion and stress one afternoon and began googling for last minute wedding planners. Luckily for me, one of the first companies I found was Your Wedding Your Way. I emailed explaining that there were just 23 days left til our wedding, and within a few minutes I had a call from Stefanie who was midway through her coffee order in Starbucks (talk about a multi-tasker!). I knew we were hiring her after that call - aside from the efficiency and organization that came across in just one conversation, she genuinely seemed to care about how I felt and managed to totally put my frazzled mind at ease. From there, we began working with Lindsey in the lead up to the wedding and I just can't even begin to tell you how much we love this woman. She organized and project managed us, without ever being anything less than a delight to speak to and work with, and she listened to all the silly things I was worrying about or thinking about. Yes, when I sent her photos of EXACTLY how I wanted the model cat to be positioned on our wedding topper, she totally understood. She also had the resilience to keep on going contacting our venue until everything was totally sorted. On the day, we worked with Cara. Now, having worked with Lindsey in the previous two weeks I did feel a little nervous that our wedding was now in a different pair of hands, but I needn't have worried at all. Cara was a total dream - kept the day running smoothly, got me a drink when I was feeling stressed, coordinated all our vendors and family members (I realized she'd memorized everyone's names and all the relationships which for a Scottish/Indian wedding with lots of unique names was very impressive!). In the run up to the wedding my husband and I said several times, "What would we do without Lindsey?". Now that it's all over we often still talk about how grateful we are for Stefanie, Lindsey and Cara. Not only did the wedding work out perfectly (even when I started changing bits of the reception during it), but they gave us complete peace of mind so that we could relax and enjoy. For me, that was absolutely priceless and I know I couldn't have relaxed on my wedding day without having a team like this who I felt so trusting and confident in. From the first time I spoke with Stefanie, I knew I was in good hands. She was sweet, honest, organized and well-spoken. I had just moved to Pennsylvania and was trying to plan my wedding, in Texas, from many miles away. Needless to say, I needed someone to be my eyes and ears on the ground, especially right before the wedding, and Stefanie was more. She was my eyes, my ears, my sounding board and my honest friend as I worked through the final details of one of the biggest days of my life. Stefanie, Lindsay, and Jolene are amazing! Stefanie brought us the A-Team with the florist (providing us with unique ideas and fresh blooms), catering (mouth-watering BBQ and top-notch services for a great price), hair/makeup (I swear these artists could have been personal HMU to the stars!), invitations (she helped us with ordering and mailing out), the Officiant (who was humorous and incredibly down to earth), photographers (ours was hands down THE best - so personable and helpful throughout the wedding with her tips and tricks), and cake (soooooo good, not too rich, just right, and spot on set up and layout). Additionally, Stefanie went over initial details with us and brought up important items that we hadn't considered. The "Your Wedding Your Way" team were always in contact with us and with our vendors to make sure deadlines were met. Lindsay saved us money by having the Caterer handle the linen from premiere and spent time with us going over the final details to ensure all was in order. Jolene was amazing during the reception with her coordinating and prompts. She kept all running seamlessly and on time. Not to mention Jolene finding Beth's rings in the Bridal suite! Our family and friends can't stop talking about how wonderful the wedding was and how valuable the YWYW team and vendors were! I couldn't recommend Stefanie and her team highly enough. From the beginning, Stefanie was great to work with. She listened to my dreams, gave practical advice and had a process that my little accounting heart loved. There were spreadsheets and tabs, and all the details felt so planned out and taken into consideration. Then the Coronavirus happened...and let me tell you- I was even more grateful that I had a professional wedding planner to help us navigate the madness. Based on a variety of reasons, we decided to move forward with our wedding rather than reschedule. We had a very negative experience with Cara as a coordinator. Stefanie and Cara have done a good job apologizing for the problems, and we think they'll try to make changes for the future. However, the company's response afterwards doesn't change the fact that our day-of coordination service caused us a lot of stress and fell far below expectations. We initially chose Your Wedding Your Way based on its stellar Yelp reviews, so we think it's important to put our less-than-stellar experience out there. My now-husband and I signed a contract with YWYW almost a year before our February wedding, and we chose their day-of coordination service. We also paid for one hour of consultation a few months before the wedding. Here is a list of some of the negative (and positive) aspects of our experience. 1. Communication and attention to detail during planning: Throughout the planning process, our conversations with Cara did not leave us with the impression that she had fully heard and understood necessary details. For example, at our one-hour consultation, she offered to help arrange a shuttle. When she sent us a contract with the shuttle company, it listed the wrong hotel name and different pickup/dropoff times than we'd discussed. There were a few errors in documents she gave us - they were small things, like the wrong sizes listed for some tablecloths, but small details should have been something we could trust a coordinator to get right. We wanted to relax and have confidence that Cara was organized and knowledgeable, but something about her communication and seeming lack of attention to detail just didn't allow that to happen. Her style of speaking was very fast and we often felt she was talking over us. I know people communicate differently and her style would probably be fine for some people, but it felt overwhelming to us. 2. Failure to deliver a payment during the reception: On the day of the wedding, Cara left the reception without delivering a check for $2,000 to the photographer. I had given her several envelopes clearly marked with the names of the vendors. Delivering the final payments was one of her primary responsibilities. She left the reception around 9pm (the wedding ended at 10:30, but we had YWYW's "early leave" coordination package). When the photographer apologetically asked about her payment at the end of the night, it was embarrassing and stressful to realize that Cara had left without delivering the payment. Because we didn't know whether this was the only payment Cara failed to deliver (thankfully, it was), my mom and I spoke with all the other vendors to make sure they had received their payments. This was not something I wanted my mom to worry about during the reception. Cara ended up sending the check to the photographer the next day. 3. Favors not put out: We had made favors that were supposed to be set at each place setting. They were never put out - I completely forgot about them during setup, and they sat in my car the whole time. Putting them out was not Cara's responsibility, since she wasn't there during setup, but she did have a list of items that she was supposed to double-check. Placing favors is one of the responsibilities listed in the YWYW paperwork. 4. Communication about responsibilities: In hindsight, there are a variety of details I wish we had discussed further in advance - what time she was planning to arrive (2pm, which meant she was not there for most of the setup and events I'd assumed she would help with), what her responsibilities would be on the day before and day of the wedding, and how much and what types of contact we should expect in the month before the wedding. 5. Good things: All that being said, Cara did several things well. She kept the timeline on track, ran the ceremony music, checked in with vendors beforehand, paced the processional, and gave great referrals to some vendors. Her assistant Sam did a great job. YWYW was one of the first vendors we booked, and we were surprised and disappointed by how stressful our experience with them turned out to be. We have communicated with them about our critiques, and they plan to make changes, but based on our experience, we cannot recommend them. read more

I don't know what we would've done without Stefanie and Your Wedding Your Way. We used her for her month-of services, and she came in and took over communicating with all of the vendors, she scheduled walk-throughs, she told us exactly what we needed to bring and she made the whole thing go off without a hitch. Stefanie and her assistant were amazing at keeping me stress free so I could just enjoy my day. We also had a ton of compliments from our family members and the wedding party about how Stefanie showed them just where to go and what to do. YWYW is wonderful! read more

Stefanie and her team absolutely crushed it at our wedding! We hired Your Wedding, Your Way for their 'month of coordination' services. They did a great job reviewing all of our contracts, making sure we had taken care of all the details, building a diagram and timeline for the day of, saving us a bit of money by finding some mistakes, and coordinating the day of flawlessly. Honestly, everything went so well that my other friends who had just been married were saying 'man I wish I had hired your wedding planner'. The team also dealt with last minute emergencies like running out of an ingredient for our signature drink, and went to go get more during a slow point in the night. Ok--so full disclosure--YWYW didn't actually plan my wedding. We wound up getting a full-service venue as a sort of "gift" from some friends who owned it so we didn't need YWYW. However, part of me wishes I had gotten to use them--Stefanie went out of her way to meet with my fiance and I when our schedules were a little nuts and was the sweetest person to meet with when we were still planning. While I can't speak to her actual wedding planning (though the other reviews make me assume she'd be fantastic), I can say that she is personable, sweet, not at all pushy, and knowledgeable. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in booking her and my fiance and I had agreed we would definitely be hiring her if our miracle venue hadn't come up. read more
