For me pizza is a staple in a diet, coming from Ny I become a "snob" but appreciate the subtle differences in each pie. There are four staples I try, and see if they mess them up. 1. Chicken Parm 2. Chicken Bacon Ranch 3. White pizza 4 Pepperoni Pizza The wife and I tried options 2 and 3, The white pizza had great texture 3 out of 5 the dough was soft and the cheese was plenty. While the flavor was empty and the feta was overpowering. They needed more garlic and seasoning. The presentation was great, however the palette was left unsettled. The Chicken Bacon, Soft bread but tasteless chicken and ingredients. Needed way more seasoning and flavorful chicken. Would I got again yes, but I would defiantly instruct them to add more seasoning and focus less on cheese and more on taste. Till we meet again. read more

It is not gourmet, not fancy, not anything you can't get anywhere else, but it's fast, easy, fairly inexpensive and a great idea for something to do with the kids. Step inside, because you're about to make YOUR PIE. I walked up to the counter - I was greeted immediately (although they were not busy at all.) I told the girl it was my first time, so I was reading all the info all over the place. She asked if she could give me the spiel. ::cue the video that will someday be made and inserted here::.. Basically, there's a menu with four steps, if you will. First you pick your dough - plain or wheat? (Those are the standards but apparently they have kid sized and gluten free as well.) I asked her opinion and she swore to me wheat was worth a try. Next, you choose your sauce from a list of 8 choices. I looked these up on their menu FOR YOU: Standard marinara, ranchy marinara, sundried tomato, "hot," garlic olive oil, basil pesto and BBQ. I went with regular old marinara since this is my first time, but garlic olive oil and basil pesto are a-callin' my name! Next you choose your cheese. There are like 9 typical, pizza-ish choices here, including "vegan cheese" for which I pity tha' foo'. I went with "fresh mozzarella" which is the round "buffalo mozzarella" kind. I don't know how they milk a buffalo, but I appreciate it.. ;) Lastly, you pick your toppings. There are two clear lists to choose from... one is the free list of veggies and stuff.. the other is mostly meats and fancy thangs. I chose pineapple (free) and ham (not free). This is the closest to Hawaii I ever get. I get a cup for water, because that's good for me.. (OH OH OH but there's beer, too.. including locals like Red Hare) ..and I pay $8.50 for my personal Hawaiian pizza. I wait about 10 minutes (or maybe 6 minutes) and the pie is brought out to me, sliced into six. The verdict? It's tasty, seems fresh, I had forgotten I was eating wheat bread (bravo, employee!) and my toppings all work well together, but it really could have been cooked a little longer. Things didn't really stick together well. Maybe it's because of my fresh mozzarella chunks (rather than shredded cheese to evenly glue my pizza toppings.) There also may have been a little too much sauce, so things were sliding off. I totally didn't get any silverware for this thing. Regardless, this was pretty tasty. I finished the whole thing. While I ate on the patio, I saw a handful of people pick up their to-go orders. Another handful sat inside. Not a ton of business, but steady, it looks like. Again, nothing fancy or life-altering, but a cool concept and probably perfect for the kids. I can totally see your little leaguer's team piled in there screaming about toppings. I stopped by here for lunch to try out the pizzas. This place applies the same concept used in burrito shops like Moe's or Chipotle where you assemble yourself the different components of your meal. You choose the type of pizza dough (white, wheat or gluten free), the sauce, cheese and toppings. I'm not sure this works so well with pizza since I'd like someone else to come up with a good combination for me. Nonetheless, I had a good meal here by assembling wheat dough, basil pesto sauce, mozzarella, yellow and green peppers and broccoli. The pizza came out pretty good. The crust is thin and crisp. The basil pesto sauce was interesting and gave it a nice flavor, a little different from the more standard tomato based sauce. This place gets extra points, though, for having some really good local craft beers on tap. I got a Tropicalia Country Comforts IPA along with my pizza. The beer was $5.25 for a pint and the pizza $7.99. Not too bad. It's a pleasant sitting area with an outside patio, tables and booths inside and a bar with some stools along the side behind which there were three screens playing sports events. I stopped in for lunch and after reading reviews here on Yelp decided to go for an all veggie pie for a change (pepperoni is my absolutely my "go to" topping of choice) - as their vegetable toppings are all free! I had the white crust, pesto sauce, low fat mozzarella, mushrooms, green peppers, spinach & roasted garlic (with red chile flakes added at the table). I posted a picture of it here on Yelp. A nice thin crust with just the right crunch. Good flavor on the toppings made for an excellent value. Every interaction with the staff was super friendly and helpful, and they made visits to the table to check on us and clear away plates. I was very impressed with their attentiveness and welcoming atmosphere. The table seating uses those cold, hard metal chairs that I despise, but we were able to snag a nice comfortable booth. The interior is modern with lots of hard surfaces, so I imagine it can get very noisy when the place is full. A covered patio offers outside seating as an option as well. I had a build-your-own pizza and appreciated the calorie posting on the menu. My wife had their peach and prosciutto pizza. And for dessert we had a 3-scoop of their creamy gelato (one each of Butterfinger, tiramisu, and chocolate). NEVER ORDER ONLINE....... I was in town for a week ordered online (at 6:36pm on sunday), two pizzas, cheese bread, and a salad. The online system said my food would be ready in 20 minutes. I showed up right at 7pm. They apologized said my food was not ready but should be done in 10 minutes... (aka we haven't started on your order). I waited.... and waiting... they kept apologizing saying it would be ready soon..... finally at 7:28pm almost an hour after i ordered food.... they brought be two pizzas.... only they were nothing remotely close to what i ordered. I gave them another 10 minutes to try and fix it and of course they couldn't.... (ps there were 2 other couples that ordered online that had the same situation) finally i asked for a refund and they had to refund each item individually.... it was f*&^ing disaster to say the least. Came here tonight to pickup a to go order I placed online. I had the gluten free pizza with pesto sauce; ricotta, parmesan, and motzeralla cheeses; fresh basil; mushrooms; and pepperoni. Unfortunately they made a couple of mistakes with my order and by the time I came home my pizza was absolutely cold and the other pizza was again wrong and also cold. I called up and they refunded our entire order so I'm pleased. The pizza I ordered is delicious, my bf still likes the pizza he got, and the gluten free crust is in fact the best as other reviews mentioned (they were able to describe the difference between the two crusts over the phone and reassured me I wasn't going to get sick, thank you). I'm sure it's even more amazing hot... Lol I'll give them another try for sure. We're all human, mistakes happen, and I appreciated that I could tell they cared. The atmosphere looks cool, they serve some craft beer and Gelato. Also a large TV with football on. I think next time we'll try eating in. Update - in my previous review I mentioned the staff seemed a little clueless. We went back a couple of weeks ago and dined in. We had a similar experience. They forgot my drink and I had to remind them twice. Right when i walked in i immediately loved it. The ambiance was very friendly and positive, and the dining area was spotless. It was my first time coming in and heather was very welcoming and helpful in explaining the menu! Brook was very energetic and approachable and made and brought my pizza out in a very timely manner. It's a great concept (stolen from Kramer!) but as usual for places like this, the employees are pretty much clueless. I dutifully checked in and mentioned the free gelato but never got it. When I asked what was in the gluten free crust the answer was "soy," and I was totally ignored after my pie was served, despite the place being almost empty. The pie itself was pretty tasty, but the Italian sausage was a little odd. Fresh mozzarella is a big plus, and the pesto marinara was tasty. It's a lot like going to a Subway that serves alcohol. Here is the concept: It is like Subway only with pizza instead of sandwiches. As you approach the counter, you either order one of the specialty pizzas or you build your own. They make it easy- you pick a crust, gluten free, whole wheat, or white; pick a sauce, they have several including ranch marinara; pick toppings, these are the free toppings, pick premium toppings, like meats. Everyone orders a personal 10 inch pizza unless you are a kid, then you can order a 7 inch and you get to play with some of the dough. Then they make the pizza right there in front of you as you move down the line. Tossing the dough, applying the sauce and toppings and stuffing it in the gas fired brick oven. Then you move to the end of the line, order beer and pay for the whole thing. They bring the pizza to your table. The hook here at this franchise is that you create your own pizza, as if you can't do that at pizza joints all over town (except of course at friggin Antico where you can't but that is partially why we love Antico so goddamn much). But, to be fair, I do not know of another pizzeria that gives you similar choices on sauce. They have a bunch of well trained kids working behind the counter so the operation works pretty efficiently. In fact, I found them to be quite knowledgeable and skilled, especially regarding the beer choices. And they keep those pies flying. We decided to have a specialty pizza having learned long ago to trust the pizza chef, especially the first time. I had the Lineage with traditional marinara, sausage, pepperonis, peppers, onions, black olives. Annie ordered the Ischia with Roma tomatoes, fresh garlic, traditional marinara, and basil. Regarding both pies, the crust was without char but crisp, well baked, thin but otherwise uninteresting. We wondered if compromises were made to make the dough easy to work with on the assembly line. I couldn't tell you about the marinara as I don't remember anything about it. In fact, none of the ingredients were very notable and you wind up reaching for the red pepper after the first bite. This is a pie that is designed to be offensive to no one- kind of like fast food. The Roma tomatoes were not completely ripe on the Ischia. . Another thing is that there is not much stuff on this pizza. While my pie had multiple ingredients, there was very little of any of them. I know that it is possible for the pie to be too "busy" with toppings, I would use the word "stark" to describe this pie. When we entered the store there was a strong odor of bleach. I was OK with it, thinking that bleach means clean and cleanliness is next to Godliness. Annie, however, was put off by the whole thing and threatened to flee to the Taco Mac next door. But in a larger sense, the bleach kind of set the tone for the place: sterile , clean , formulaic. It sucks when you like the people but are not crazy about the product. I went here with the family the other night. It's a very simple concept as you go in pick your dough type, sauce, cheese and any topping to create "Your Pie". As with many things in life, keeping things simple is a great recipe for success and this restaurant pulls it off. This type of place is ideal for someone like me with small kids that needs to get them in there and get some food in front of them as soon as possible (which correlates to me and my wife being able to enjoy our meal). We each pretty much ordered our own customized pizza, and I thought the flavors were excellent, especially considering the low price. I like how we could select fresh mozzarella vs. shredded mozzarella which allowed us to make a pretty darn good margherita pizza. It looks like they have a pretty good draft beer selection as well, and they told me they have trivia nights every week as well as a beer night where they run a special on a particular draft beer. Went to Your Pie with my family for the second time yesterday. It had been a while since last visit, so I had pretty much forgotten the good and the bad. The atmosphere isn't anything special - a little dark, kind of trendy - not like your usual pizza place. If you are not familiar with the format, it's like Moe's for pizza. You go through the line where you tell the folks what kind of crust, sauce, cheese, and toppings you want. You can be really specific as you watch your pie as it's created down the line. Calzones are basically just folded over pizzas. The good: You can specify exactly what you want on your pie. It's also fairly quick - the thin crusts don't take more than about 8-12 minutes to cook. Beer on tap (there's a bar if you want to just come in and have a drink, too). Prices not too bad, either, but...(see below) And there is a pretty huge selection of toppings - including fresh mozzarella, sun dried tomato, tofu, even a couple different kinds of onion (red and vidalia). They all seem pretty fresh, too. The bad: Pepperoni, sausage, and other meats are considered "premium" meaning $1 upcharge per. While the "free" ingredients are just piled on high, they kind of skimp on the premium ones, even though you're shelling out an extra buck. I counted 8 pepperonis on my pie. And these are really just pre-sliced jobs - nothing special. Not sure about the sausage. You'd think that once you pay the extra $1 you'd get more than that, but no. While the prices are not TOO bad, the "special pizza" is $9.50 - that's for a personal size pie, which is about 9 or 10 inch. On the other hand, a cheese pizza will set you back about $7.50 (if I remember correctly). So if you pick a special crust or a couple premium ingredients, you're looking at a pretty big cost. For example, a family of four getting four 2-premium-topping pizzas (e.g. pepperoni and sausage) plus drinks will be looking at a bill of at least $50.00. That's a lot more than you'd expect when you walk in. But for what it is, it's not bad. My marinara sauce and pepperoni was Ok. My daughter had the Ceasar salad, which came with pre-packaged dressing that was pretty strong as dressings go. The salad came in a bread bowl - not like a loaf of soup" bowl, but really a pizza dough formed into a bowl shape and baked. Kind of interesting, as you could tear off pieces and dip them in the free marinara. My son had the calzone including basil, and the basil really overpowered the whole thing (he tried to remove most of it). As long as you're prepared to pay premium price for a pizza that's OK to decent, then Your Pie may work for you. read more

What a fun pizza place! It's just like a Subway, but with pizza - and they are good too! You select your individual-sized crust - I loved the wheat - then your sauce and toppings from a bar at the counter. You can also pick from some predetermined faves - Lineage, a supreme, was awesome and the Thai is tasty and unique, while the white pie was a bit bland. They pop it in the brick oven - you can watch your pizza rise! - and ten minutes later you are enjoying a tasty, thin crust delight. There is also a beer menu, both bottles and some interesting drafts and a gelato bar for dessert! Very family friendly, lots of kiddos on the summer Wednesday night we visited and the Braves on a big screen. I wanted a pizza place close to my house with a patio, where do I go? Your pie. The place is cute, very comfortable seating and the huge glass windows makes the place super bright and inviting. I wish I could say I loved the food as much as I loved the place itself. Out of lack of creativity, we ordered one of their specialty pizza instead of making my own. I ordered the Lineage pizza which had sausage/pepperoni and a bunch of veggies blah blah blah, ordered in on wheat. We also got the Spinach/Gorgonzola salad in a bread bowl to split. Pizza was ok. It didn't have the melty, cheese cohesive quality I love in my pizza. It felt like a crust with random topping sitting on top, blehh! Crust was good enough, baked in a wood-fire oven which gave it a nice char. Salad I don't suggest sharing. It comes in a bread bowl and is just better eaten solo. Salad was good but the dressing was too overwhelming. I think I'm going to stick to Alpine/Franco's for my pie. read more

My three star rating might be a result of poor ordering. Persuaded by the colorful, photograph filled menu board, I went with a specialty pie, and at $8.50 for a 10 inch personal pizza, it was underwhelming. Next time, I will stick with my favorite from the original, Athens location: a wheat crust with basil pesto sauce, topped with every free vegetable they offer for only $6.50. They offer several varieties of beer by the bottle and wine by the glass (my girlfriends loved the red "sassy bitch" wine, if only for the name), and I appreciated that the self-serve soda fountain offered club soda as an option. Your Pie is definitely among the nicer fast/casual places, and the fact that you order at the counter makes it great for dining with groups. The interior is also much sleeker than other restaurants at the same price point, though I miss the presence of the cool artwork that always filled the walls of the Athens location. Was a little leary to try due to some of the reviews, but I love a good thin crust brick oven pizza so.... Yes, this is not Antico...duuhhhh!! But what it is is a good solid simple fresh pizza. Ingredients were fresh and tasty. Crust was perfect, just the right amount of flavor without too much char. As far as people complaining about price, we got two pizzas two drinks (including my Oberon draft yay!) For 27 bucks including tip. That is less than we usually spend for one entree at most restaurants. Yes, a family of four would be fifty bucks, but if that's too much for a night out I suggest papa johns or taco bell. Your Pie has a wide variety of fresh ingredients that you can use to order your own pizza just the way you like it, or you can choose one of their specialty pizzas from the menu. Delicious homemade sauces ... we've had the spicy thai, sun-dried tomato basil, traditional marinara, and the zesty BBQ ... all were excellent! You can choose whole wheat or classic dough ... both are terrific. Pizzas are "personal" sized ... about 10" in diameter which is plenty big for even the kids and teenagers in our family. They also serve paninis, calzones, salads, and gelato. On Monday nights kids (under 12 ) eat free which includes a kids pizza and gelato which thrills the kiddos to no end. Sad. I love brick oven personal pizza restaurants, but this is easily the worst. I read a post that the dough didn't taste like anything and I simply didn't believe it...but guess what, it didn't. Dough was bland...completely tasteless. One of our pizzas wasn't cooked through (mine) and they simply said that they would be more careful next time. They didn't even offer to put it back in. I didn't want to make a fuss, but WTF! Another problem is that the place was dirty. It looked and smelled like a bar. Great service that made me feel welcome, quick decision on the menu and a bit over priced for a personal pan size but I am still happy as what I got was a fairly well made pizza. We got there around 6. The staff was very friendly & easy to work with. This is a order at the counter, find a seat, and they bring it to your table kind of place. They have menus at the start of the line. They have white, wheat, or a gluten free crust. The gluten free one costs $2.99 extra. But the base pizzas or one of their creations are $7.99. And no matter how many toppings you add the price is still $7.99. Each person gets their own personal pizza. I had a white crust with tomato sauce, shredded mozzarella, extra mozzarella, pepperoni, and red onions. My mom had the same thing with bell peppers and spinach. We throughly enjoyed them. My loved ones choose to frequent the Crossville Rd location from time to time. The pizza is always consistent and the staff performs their duties satisfactorily. The pizza is hardly remarkable and yet I find myself happy to return. There is a wide range of options from dough to sauce and - of course - toppings. I'm really grasping for new choices, but I'll confess to having several favorites. There's also a few good beers to accompany the food and the gelato isn't half bad. The prices are very fair and it's even decent for sporting events since no one thinks of it as a sports bar, but there are a couple of big TV's and nary a crowd. I've been coming here for some time and actually like the pizza, but I think the service and management has gone downhill. I've noticed that there are a lot of new employees, which is fine, but I've noticed that when they seem confused or not sure how to do something, the manager (Brooke, I think) just does it for them instead of helping them learn. That's not effective. I actually witnessed her berating an employee and using profanity, which is never appropriate, but especially disturbing since most of the employees seem to be very young. I don't think I'll be returning any time soon. read more
