My husband and I have been meaning to try Zuzzu for years. We finally went there for dinner tonight and it was absolutely amazing. It has a wonderful, authentic Italian atmosphere without being pretentious. We had the burrata and prosciutto, a house salad, chicken parmigiana, gnocchi and shrimp, tiramisu, and limoncello cake. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. I will be dreaming of that gnocchi until we go back! The service was friendly and attentive and we even got to meet the owner, Luigi. We will definitely become regulars at Zuzzu! read more

Fruit flies in our wine, fighting off fruit flies the entire meal. We should have left immediately... Too bad, because we have had good meals there, but judging from the nearly empty tables tonight (on a Thursday!) looks as though others don't enjoy dining with the pests, either. And while I'm at it, the top of the beautiful pizza oven was filthy and the front door (inside and out) was disgusting, as well...the door handle to get outside was falling off of the door...do better! read more

Mamá mía! I lived in Italy for 7 years and Zuzzu's food took me back! Traveled to Marietta Ga from Chatt Tn for a graduation dinner at family's house. They had Zuzzu's delivered. We had pollo carciofi e vodka, penne arrabiata romana, eggplant parmigiana, roasted cauliflower, lasagne and the pizza margherita which really took me back to authentic Italian pizza. The food was phenomenal and customer service was above & beyond. We would drive the two hours back to eat Zuzzu's food again! If you want authentic Italiano look no further! Molte bene! read more

Go see Luigi at Zuzzu's on Oak Street. Casual Sicilian Family Dinner but incredible quality & flavors of a High End Restaurant in Sicily but right here in Roswell Georgia. True Wood Fired Oven and the Pizza is fabulous. But if you're dining there you may just share a small pie as one of your appetizers because there is nothing on the menu that isn't Top Notch Fantastic!!! Bring someone you don't mind sharing your meal or ask for Family Style Service !!! Reservations highly suggested https://share.google/4eFz2mqkUPXKSSydI read more

We came here for a special occasion dinner. The service was great, and the table bread was very good also. The menu is quite large, and includes pizza and pasta. We ordered two pasta dishes. The entrees were decent, but nothing special. We ordered the gnocchi, which didn't have a great consistency. The chicken with artichokes was good, but it didn't come with the vodka sauce or cheese that was in the description. Portions were also small. For the price, I didn't love the ambiance in there either. I would be willing to try it again, but will order the pizza next time. read more

Intimately sized and family run. Authentic Italian using real and fresh ingredients. I'd say it's my favorite Italian in all of Atlanta by far!! Try to go twice a month... A diamond in the rough in historic Roswell. read more

Discovered this place a couple of weeks ago and have been twice, planning on this being our "go to" option for dining out for the foreseeable future. I was fortunate as both times the owner Luigi personally cooked for us off menu. However all the dishes being served from menu looked equally astounding. The food is exceptional, that is all there is to it. Come here if you care more about the quality of your eating experience. If it is more important to you to have "elegant, fine dining decor", bougie ambience, over priced deep fried calamari, and beautifully plated small portioned American Italian gourmet ....... Go somewhere else. Eating here is like coming back from a trip to Italy and raving to your friends how you found this little hole in the wall restaurant off the beaten path while strolling around Rome, Venice, Puglia, Florence, Ravello (insert name here) and the food was amazing and incredible- the owner was soo nice, and the prices were reasonable - that's Zuzzu's !! read more

The food was amazing and the service was five stars would recommend! Very family oriented and very Italian. (Perfect place for a first date)

We had dinner at Zuzzu for the first time last Tuesday. The owner was so nice and we had a delicious dinner. Atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. If you want a great meal with nice service, free parking and a place where you can hear each other talk, this is it. will definitely go back. read more

If I could keep this fantastic Italian restaurant a secret I would so I could always get a reservation! We have lived in the Roswell/ Alpharetta area for 36 years. Zuzzu tops them all. The freshest ingredients and perfectly plated like a masterpiece. Cozy atmosphere and Italian music softly playing in the background made for a perfect come as you are experience. Experienced staff was pleasant and on point. The Owner Chef shared his delicious cooking method. read more

Terrific food, very good service, fun ambience, though far too loud for romantic intentions.

Simply the best choice for Italian / Sicilian cuisine in Georgia. My favorite. Everything is special on the menu - you won't be disappointed. read more

We went for the first time on a Saturday night and the place really filled up quickly. The restaurant is located just outside the buzz zone of Canton Road and you don't need to pay to park! :-) The lot next the restaurant is very small, but there is plenty of parking right across the street. First I will compliment the food and the service - both were very good. This was a nice surprise - when you walk in the place looks like a pizzeria in the midst of being upgraded. Not a negative, but not what we expected when you review the website. The place is pretty small and the tables are fairly close. Food was priced well; the dish we wanted to try (scallops) was out of stock. While I see the place has been around for a while, a few suggestions - Our table's top was totally busted. Not the usual put a wedge to fix a crooked table, but the table itself was broken. Our server apologized and we were immediately offered a seat at the bar. We didn't want to sit at the bar - we reserved a table - so we decided to stick it out. Apparently the table has been broken for a while too. Fix it, replace it, or get rid of it. Service was good, but food delivery was ridiculously fast. We ordered and had our appetizers in a couple minutes - that is good. Our entrees came out, no joke, a couple minutes later. Again our server apologized, but we each had just had a couple bites of the appetizers and now the table was covered in plates. First time for us, but if you order - order your appetizers and after you are almost finished or finished, order your entrees. This was not enjoyable and we felt rushed and the table was small (and broken). We consolidated plates to make room, but only the server was clearing tables. She was serving most of the place herself, but there were a couple other people walking around just talking to people. It is a small place with small tables - everyone should help and grab empty plates, bottles, glasses as they walk around. I had to ask someone to clear the stack of plates and empty bottle we had on the table for 15 minutes. Our server was just flat out working most of the tables on her own. Last thing is a pet peeve and annoying- credit card surcharge. Build it into your price - almost no one pays cash, so come on. Once I saw the odd numbers on the check I realized what it was and asked to confirm. It is 4% and I'm willing to pay, but nowhere on your menu, website or the check itself (that I could find) does it say there is a surcharge. To me, just an easy way to keep your credit card fee without having to say, for example, a bottle of beer is $6.75 or $7 instead of $6. Not a killer - food was good - but just annoying. We will try again, but reserve a different table and bring cash. :-) read more

Heard a lot of great things about this place. minimal parking but the food was worth it! i got to try the house salad with balsamic dressing. They tossed it really well because every single piece had dressing on it. Sour and sweet. the *Piccantina Pizza* was pretty good as well. very fresh ingredients and locally sourced if I'm not mistaken. baked quickly in their pizza oven in plain sight. Staff was great. we broke a plate but they acted like we we not a menace. kudos to yall. Thanks! read more

We met some friends for dinner on a recent Saturday night. We had reservations, but there were some tables slow to clear. It's a small, cozy place, so we understood. We were only about 10 minutes late getting seated, which didn't bother us. The owner, Luigi, wanted to make sure we were taken care of. He chose some of his favorites for our meal. We were more than happy to let him surprise us. It was wonderful. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Such a special night. Can't wait to go back! read more

Food was excellent. Service staff was unhelpful and unhappy. Highly recommend for takeout.

This restaurant was great very family oriented. It's pretty small inside so make sure to have a reservation. There's only a few tables and a small little bar area. We had the pizza which was good. The pizza was thin the way I like them! My friends ordered the pasta dishes which they said were really good. There is a parking lot right out front. This is a few blocks away from Canton Street. We walked there right after dinner it was great. read more

My primary issue with Zuzzu is the cost. The place is pretty run down. Just look at the interior of their front door- it looks like it was beaten with a bike chain. C'mon--- $27 for a 5" square of eggplant parm?!?!? Last time I checked at Publix, eggplant was priced at about a buck per pound. While the eggplant parm tasted pretty good- I was unable to identify the main ingredient. It was so mushy. The complimentary bread they provided was awful. No crust. No texture. No flavor. read more

Luigi is a long experienced chef, very knowledgeable of the Italian cuisine. Pasta al dente from every Italian region or city, main course from fish to meet. The antipasti is something to die for. An authentic Italian Restaurant in the heart of Roswell. The place is welcoming with the pizza oven in great view. Thank you Luigi. read more

We often visited the "old Zuzzu" before it changed hands and it's become a very different experience. We loved the uniqueness of a small and local Italian and it's become just another chain like restaurant. They used to have some great unique wine off a wine list and the wine list is now very average. Gone is the warm fresh bread straight out of the pizza oven and replaced by supermarket like bread. The Caprese was excellent and the shrimp pasta had good flavors but very expensive for what was a very generic dish. Gone is the great Neapolitan pizza made from a pre-fermented dough and it's been replaced by something like a New York style flatbread with tasteless dough which I guess is made on the day. Overall the food and experience is fine but not worth the high prices. It's no longer something different or unique and lovers of the old Zuzzu will be disappointed. read more

I have been to ZuZZus before, under previous ownership. My neighbors and I decided to come back since it was close by and hadn't been here with the new management. The place was packed, and because everyone was seated at the same time, the service was slow-ish. The vibe in the restaurant felt very rushed. When we ordered, my husband asked if one of the ingredients on his pizza could be on the side. After awhile, the manager came back and said that it could not and that he will bring him a completely different pizza. Well, that caught the husband off guard because he did not want the different pizza and in turned, ordered something else. Food was mediocre at best but the kicker was at the end when we were asked to leave because there were other folks waiting for our table. Now, keep in mind, there were 5 of us and we spent a decent amount of money in food and drink and were chatting after our plates were cleared. Also keep in mind, we were only an hour and 45 minutes into being at the table. But, to be told we had to leave to make room for others put a very sour taste in our mouths. Thanks but no thanks, ZuZZu - we will not be back. Our business will go to restaurants who will allow us to remain at their tables, read more

So this is has been and continues to be our favorite restaurant in town. We came here to celebrate my wife and my sister's birthdays together. Chef Luigi made this the most memorable dinner you could imagine with plate after plate of masterpieces. We typically go for pizza and the Bolognese but this time relied on their choices for every meal. The entire table shared and there wasn't anything that was less than 5 out of 5. If you can make it here, make a reservation. I can say without doubt it will be one of your favorites if you do. read more

Zuzza has a lot to offer as a restaurant. The food service and ambiance are all wonderful. Our food was great, most of my party got the tortellini on the special list and it was great. It was my first time ever having tortellini and what was so rich and savory, it made my mouth water. The restaurant itself is a smaller, quaint type of place and the service was really great. The wait time for the food was the only downside. Our food took about an hour and a half to come out which wasn't the best but the owner was very nice and even gave us two free deserts. Overall, it was a wonderful meal and I'd definitely recommend it! read more

Pasta and service were excellent. Meal started with fresh bread and oil. Not a large pasta selection.

We had a fantastic meal consisting of lasagna, Saporita pasta and wine. Intimate ambiance, great service!

Omg this place was such a pleasure to find! It's small & looks unassuming from the outside. It seems family owned but it's like walking into an Italian family's household for dinner. The atmosphere was super friendly & welcoming. You can tell they care about everything they put out & it all tasted super fresh. They start you with some olive oil dip with bread. We had a seafood pasta dish loaded with mussels (pepata $21) and a pizza but I can't remember what all was on it, just that it was amazing. The cheese pull, y'all. We also had creampuffs for dessert. You need to try this place! read more

By far and away, one of the very best, true Italian meals I've ever had. We had lived overseas and traveled through Italy when I was a kid; Zuzu brought it all back to life for me. We started with the calamari, which was perfect. For entree, I had the salmon picata over pasta and my husband had the gnocchi with shrimp. We left nothing behind; so delicious! Owner Chef Luigi checked in on us, making this meal so special and one I'll never forget. You need to try this restaurant if you haven't, and ask for Luigi - this restaurant and him, they are the real deal. read more

I was really looking forward to trying a new restaurant especially Italian cuisine! Which is one of my favorite foods!! Very disappointed especially for the price! One pear salad, (two of us split a salad) eggplant Parmesan and one glass of Pinot Noir. $50 plus tip each person. Total bill $104.00 Both salad and entree very bland, wine was just ok!! Italian food is not expected to be spicy but usually the flavor is fresh and you know it with first bite!! Server was very nice and checked in on us!! read more

Food was excellent but my daughter and I were greeted by a rude host who let us know that they were very busy and dramatically swept his arm out to display the wide array of open tables. He told us our only option would be at the bar. Understanding reservations may exist that could fill the small room, we sat, dined and, surprisingly, only half the restaurant filled in about an hour. Another father and daughter were treated similarly as we witnessed the same event a bit after our arrival. While I truly appreciate the kitchen's talent, not a chance I'd head back with this "manager" in charge. According to the waiter, he's temporarily been placed in charge until the owners return. Godspeed owners on your journey... I hope you don't lose too many customers before you return. You've lost my family on our first visit and we live nearby. read more
