I love mellow mushroom pizza! The crust is doughy but crunchy, they do not skimp on the toppings, their sauce is not sweet and the flavors are fantastic! Service is great! this one has a large outside area for people to sit at and enjoy the outdoors as well. They have a full bar and great staff plus a just cool vibe. It is a great place to have some slices of ZA, to get some pie, to enjoy the flavors! I will give a disclaimer and say I am a bit of a food snob. I think for the most part, a person knows what to expect at mellow mushroom. It's OK pizza but the brand maintains its standard. If you're into it, love that for you. What I want to highlight is all the other things I loved about this location. For one the service was absolutely superb and our waitress. McKenzie was so attentive to our two young children in their needs. It has this enclosed outdoor area so our kids were able to run around. There was other kids there and they were also enjoying the space and mingling. I would say between the service and the area for the children, that literally made the whole experience for me and my husband. Eating out with young kids is truly a challenge and spaces like this make it a lot more manageable. Although I'm not a big fan of the pizza and that is definitely a personal thing, I do love their Greek salad and Esperanza dressing. I would absolutely come back just for the vibes. My husband and I love mellow mushroom and have been to several different locations. We decided To try one that was closer to our home so we chose this location. We came at 8:05 so plenty of time before the restaurant closed but once we walked in everyone was in cleaning mode and they looked about ready to close up shop. We got seated outside and the front host told us the server would be with us shortly...after 2 workers that passed by no one ever came to take our order nor even offer us water. The waitress that was inside, I got her attention and I thought she was coming out but she came out completely overlooked us despite us having menus and being ready to order, talked to her coworker and went back inside. It was a terrible feeling and experience. We most likely won't be coming back to this location because the service left a sour taste in our mouth and I wouldn't want to try their food if their service if poor. read more

Unfortunate experience. Three of us dined. Two ordered pies and the other ordered wings. One pie was cheese only and tasty. The other was a white pie with added sausage, remove the tomatoes except they didn't remove the tomatoes. However, the pie was good. The issue was the wings were not delivered at the same time and we were told they were on the way out. After both pies have been consumed (20+ minutes) still no wings and the third diner went hungry. While the server was apologetic, he never once followed up during this time and we had to track him down inside the restaurant to request a check and cancel the wings. Too many quality options in the area to ever come back. Epic fail by either the server or the kitchen. Two stars because the pies were good, 0 stars for service. Ordered delivery on their website. It defaulted to DoorDash. DoorDash driver didn't bring the salad. Then pretended he didn't speak English. Called the store ... they said to call DoorDash. I did. DoorDash said since it was done on Mellow's website, Mellow gets the payment and then they pay DoorDash. Called Mellow back, spoke the manager and she said I'd have to wait until Monday to speak to the owner. Called Monday and LM for owner. Didn't call me back but credited my card for the salad. I called and ordered a take out pizza from the Mellow Mushroom in Roswell. The person on the phone was friendly and knowledgeable. He told me that my pizza would be ready in 30 minutes. He asked what type of car I would be driving. He told me to pull up in front of the restaurant, and somebody would bring the pizza out to my car. I arrived at the restaurant 30 minutes after I placed my order. I parked behind two other cars who were also waiting for their pizzas. I waited 15 minutes for someone to bring the pizza to my car. Therefore, my entire wait time was 45 minutes from when I placed my order. The pizza tasted hot and fresh. There was a generous amount of sauce, cheese, and other toppings. The prices are a little high at Mellow Mushroom compared to some of the competitors, such as Marco's Pizza and Peace Love & Pizza. If the prices were more reasonable, then I would probably visit Mellow Mushroom more frequently. read more

We hot a small Greek salad to share between the Bride and myself and it was HUGE. We got one of the specialty pizzas on the thin crust and it lived up to what we always expect from a Mellow Mushroom. Guys night. So we took some middle school guys to MM last night. Place had a huge yard and covered patio. That's cool- they had a couple birthday parties going on and the little kids were able to run round outside - leaving the indoor dining to us and a few adult groups. Place is a bit hidden. It not have the normal vibe from other MM places, and felt a bit old. The waitress and hostess were wonderful. Did a super job. The pizza came out correctly and was very good. The crust is a bit floppy and bread-like but not a thick crust. The edges were tasty, the middle was but not firm. It's good- but if you like a thin crust or crunch, this isn't that pizza. We had cheese, pepperoni, and mighty meat pizzas. The mighty meat had bacon on it. That was the favorite of the group. The red sauce on the pizza was tangy and good but not overbearing. Cheese was plentiful. MM had a curbside crew masked and working hard to make it safe and easy for takeout if you choose that service. The place is clean, service was good, they seemed to have a full staff. Food was good. Try it. Pretty close to Top Golf and close to War Games/whirlyball/putt putt/ movie theater. Very common theme here: they simply can't do to-go. Zero customer service. Zero apologies or explanations when orders are delayed. Dine in service is usually fine, and the quality is consistent (something mellow corporate manages very tightly, I imagine). This place used to be great but has gone seriously downhill. Beautiful new renovation but service is terrible. Plan on a long dining experience in store because of slow kitchen and distracted servers. Good luck getting seated quickly (even with abundant seating available) because the hostess is totally under water. If you order take out and they quote you 40 minutes add 10 more or you will be waiting. Oh and corporate finally rolled out online ordering but this location doesn't accept it. Boo. I hope that the management reads these because I'm a Roswell resident and I'd like to change this review after they've made some serious staffing and procedure changes. read more

Had a good experience here over the weekend. We ordered wings as a starter, and they were my only let down. They should have been a lot crispier vs. fattier. Maybe that and the chairs were really greasy, but we could handle wiping those down. Our server was so sweet and helpful. We enjoyed her. The service was pretty standard as far as time goes. I ordered a salad. It was actually good. Plenty of options for toppings. The grilled chicken addition tasted fresh. Their balsamic was amazing. The rest of my table enjoyed their pizzas as well. Service and food quality at this Mellow Mushroom location are on par with the Mellow Mushroom standard, but it just doesn't give me that Mellow Mushroom vibe I crave. We've been to this location several time and always had great service; our server has always been super friendly and took our order making sure we got everything we needed in a fast and friendly pace. The food here is good. The tastes and quality matches that of other mellow mushroom locations. This MM has a good selection of craft beer, but could carry more breweries; especially local beers. The restaurant itself is nice and all, but looks more like a California Pizza Kitchen than a Mellow Mushroom. I hate that it just doesn't give me the groovy vibe of other locations. read more

If you have multiple allergies like me (I'm allergic to milk and gluten), this is the place for you. Awesome atmosphere, vegan/dairy free cheese and gluten free crust that is also dairy free. They also have tofu and tons of vegan topping options. My only complaint is that they don't offer a base sauce that is buffalo, or at least that is hot and also dairy free. My usual order is a gluten free pie with red sauce, with a pesto swirl, vegan cheese, tofu (plain because of the gluten free thing), and either avocado or pineapple. read more

Just had worst experience at this Mellow Mushroom. Have been there many times and have been pleased until tonight. Ordered a to go large pizza with thin crust and extra cheese. Also ordered a Chef Salad without the black olives. After an hour plus wait and getting home the pizza was burned and no extra cheese. The salad was loaded with black olives and carrots. Should have checked it before we left. Not sure if I will ever go back. They just lost a good customer. read more

There is a lot to experience at this Mellow Mushroom location, and one visit may not cover it all. There are some nights with live music on the patio/lawn, several televisions for sports watching, and a decent beer selection. The covered patio is heated, which is great for the cooler months to come. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and they are my favorite part of this restaurant. Great size pizzas and calzones are both delicious, and the pretzels are a must-have. the two things I'm confused by are that they use the small parking lot for dine-in customers and the larger for carry-out, and the 2nd is that the smaller dining room is open however the larger, more spacious dining room is closed. I assume there is a method to the madness but it isn't obvious. Overall, this is still my favorite pizza location in the area. If you drive too fast you may miss the entrance so pay attention to your GPS and turn at the gas station. Also, staff is COVID friendly. read more
