I loved their marinara sauce, it wasn't overly sweet, nor tart, just fresh tomatoes. Toppings I got were chicken, sausage and black olives. I'm so confused by what happened today. There was some confusion, the person asking what dough/size kept asking us what we wanted on a pizza that wasn't ours and we kept trying to explain. Next thing we know, the "general" manager started yelling at us and absolutely refused to stop. she would walk away then return to me or the lady I was with. As someone who grew up in the 90's, I never thought Kramer's idea to let people make their own pizza would be a reality. But here we are. The menu is literally on the wall so you can look over the many options while waiting in line. They have their "house pies", but you can also make your own. The brick oven beckons behind the staff as you build your pie and the turnaround time is swift. At this point I cannot speak to the salad and may never be able to because where else can you decide the toppings on your own pizza? I can't bypass that opportunity! The gelato was good and a nice follow up for dessert. There is outdoor seating in front of the building, in case you like being outside. They bring your order to you so you choose. Their customer service is great, their gelato is AMAZING (you definitely have to get one when you come, at around $1 a scoop there's no reason not to), and the crust is so delicious when paired with their amazing assortment of toppings. The dough they cut to create a kid size pizza, they give the kid the option to play with it (which is like play dough and my girls were excited about it). I'll start by reviewing the pizza. 5 stars. It was delicious! I made my own with white crust, pesto sauce, feta and mozzarella chese, sun dried tomatoes, garlic, mushrooms, spinach, onion, artichoke, and a few dalops of marinara on top. Finished with some oregano amd Parmesan cheese. The pizza was done quickly and brought to the table. A few sprinkles of hot peppers and it was ready to eat. I finished the whole pie. No shame in my pizza game. The deductions come with the untidy nature of the food line and restaurant. There were toppings all over the place, the food surface was messy. One food attendant had her long hair almost touching the pizza as she reached for toppings to complete a pizza. There was another employee loudly asking down the line, "how many pizzas are you paying for?" and passing out a sheet of paper for which she asked for again once we reached the register. There has to be a more efficient way to take orders. There was some confusion at the register as folks were lined up opposite for their gelato (the mango was yum!). Again, this needs to be streamlined. We went for drinks and the ice was overflowing the machine and the sweet tea was out. The tables were also dirty and the floor was sticky. I used a wet wipe to clean our table before sitting. I suggest a team member always monitor the eating area to clean and refresh as needed. If this is already a practice, they were slacking on this Sunday evening. I really enjoyed the pizza and I will be back. I'll update my review if I find this was just a fluke of a busy Sunday. I love that they don't charge you for certain toppings either like other places. I can have all of the bacon, mushrooms, pepperoni, etc. that I want. No problem! They also have paninis, gelato, and salads here too. The 2 gelatos (salted caramel and cookies & cream) that I've tried were pretty good. The people here are pretty friendly and very nice. I like pizza and maintain a healthy figure. Usually I buy a large from a place near Aiken and it costs $17 and lasts me three days (meals). The large at Your Pie cost almost twice that and is not made properly. I don't know why but maybe they are used to feeding children who don't eat as much as adults. You can't return it because you pay ahead so why fight them. Too dark in there and dungeon like atmosphere so I am sorry they did not meet my expectation. But they sure charge for it. read more

When a friend called me to try a new eatery I was on board of course. We decided to do lunch. Now I'm sharing that we did lunch because that's probably the reasoning for the rating. We arrived and the line was really long. The menu was simple. You could create your own pizza or panini or order one of the premade pizzas/paninis. The premise is much like a Chipotle or other tex mex place. You encounter an assembly line of people that add toppings to your pizza and then make it. The pizza I had I've made at home before with spinach, mozerella cheese, sundried tomatoes and mushrooms. I will say there weren't many vegetable options for toppings, but it was cool. I also ordered cheese sticks. I had a question about whether the cheesesticks were customizable or just available however they make them. That question caused a brief hold up, but because the staff seemed unsure. The pizza was good and the cheesesticks were undercooked. Most of the cheese wasn't even melted. They rushed a bit on both the pizza and cheesesticks, so they weren't as crisp as I would have preferred. However, they offer gelato ,which was the saving grace. I enjoyed the dark chocolate flavored gelato. I'd visit again, but for the gelato or grab a salad. The other items were just ok. Also, they have outdoor seating with a nice view of the street. I was really disappointed in the pizza that I had today here. I loved the idea of it being cooked in a brick oven and having fresh ingredients BUT the quality really fell short from what I heard about the food. The dough had absolutely NO flavor and was brought to my table directly after I sat down. This pizza was not cooked, basically just heated up. The pizza was extremely soggy and not enjoyable at all. This Your Pie location is just okay. I passed another location and was very excited when I found out that there was a Your Pie right in North Augusta. However, I wouldn't visit this location for a few reasons. The pizza was okay. I think people are under the impression that the pizza will taste more authentic because of the fact that they make it in front of you and there is a huge oven that they bake it in. If you expect that, sorry but you'll be disappointed. The pizza tasted fine. However, half of my pizza was nice and crisp at the bottom, while the other half was pretty flimsy and limp. It didn't have that nice crunch, and I had the cauliflower keto friendly crust. I tasted my boyfriend's pizza, and I would've been so disappointed if I had gotten the regular crust. It wasn't great. It was a little spongey, and it was way less crisp than the cauliflower crust. The cauliflower crust is more like a thin crust pizza, and I like that crunch. If you like your pizza crust to have a spring to it, the regular crust should be fine. I would also stay away from the grilled chicken. The grilled chicken looks and tastes like that premade, abnormally white chicken that you see at a sub/sandwich chain shop-the kind they only use for salads because they'd never sell subs with that minced meat. It tasted awful & ruined the entire pizza. The rest of the pizza was fine. Please be advised that there is a four dollar up charge for the cauliflower crust. So,the pizza was $12.99 instead of $8.99. The gelato was okay and tasted more like a sorbet. I still enjoyed the blood orange. The ambience isn't great. It wasn't a fun place for a Friday night like the other location, which had much more trendy decor. I wouldn't go here for another date night. It's more like a place you can bring kids, especially since this location doesn't serve alcohol because they don't have a liquor license. I felt like we were in the only area Near downtown Augusta that didn't have alcohol, aside from waffle house. The place wasn't dirty, but it didn't have that clean look-which scared me when I saw an employee scoop my gelato and put the scooper on the counter instead of the cup of water. This could just be me being picky because I remember working scooping ice cream in the summers and NEVER being allowed to put the scooper anywhere but back in the water bucket. I would give this chain one more try, but I couldn't go to the North Augusta one. There are two other ones around with nicer ambience. I definitely wouldn't go for food before a fun night out. This was my first visit to a assembly line, make it fast pizza place, and my hopes were not set particularly high. The 3 stars may be from my low expectations, as I could have gone 2 stars. So what is you say? Well the cooking, presentation, plating, temperature were all more or less very good. But I state each of the four components was bland. Crust-couldnt taste Sauce- I saw her put it on. No tang Cheese- the one item that you could taste and recognize. Decent quality mootzá. Pepperoni's- they express plenty what I thought was flavorful grease, but it may have been water and some grease. The staff did their job, they made a good looking pizza out of the components they were given. But they can't create flavor. The restaurant was pretty packed and has a small dining room. There is also outside seating. We opted to take our pizza to go due to lack of seating. The pizzas were very good. I love wood fired pizza and these didn't disappoint. The red sauce was really tasty. Two pizzas were perfect for three people with my daughter helping us eat them. Overall, a nice place with a very good pizza you get to pick the toppings on. The staff we dealt with were friendly and the restaurant appeared clean. You can order a stock menu or customize to your hearts desire and the only upcharge I saw was for gluten free dough (+$4) I went for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon and had nearly no wait aside from waiting for the pizza itself to cook. I ordered a pizza and also a draft beer-there needs to be some teaching on how to pour it because it was 25% head on the beer and unless you're Hillary Clinton, I expect a beer to be mostly beer and not a significant portion of it to be foam. Shoot, even if you are running for president I expect better. I like the food and the tables were mostly clean and I saw someone wiping them down as I was there.
