Also had a very bad experience at this vets, with our both our dog & cat. My dog had a cyst off the side of his face & they only put in 7 stitches. I was instructed to take him back after 7 days to remove the stitches which when I took him home, he scratched & the whole wound opened up. The vet blamed me, I should have known this was a sign of thing to come. Stitches should be left in for at least 14 days, especially on the face where a dog can scratch.
I took my dog in for a topometry, a test for glaucoma, as he has lost his other eye a year before from cancer. As soon as I got in the taxi home his eye began to stream & was worse when i got home. I called the vet & they said it would die down, I notice the vet who performed the topometry was interested in speaking to me. I had to take my dog back not once but twice to get different steriod creams to heal it. I refused to pay as it was their clearly their fault & had quite the disagreement with the vet & the senior partner at the clinic- they again said my dog must have had an allergic reaction & refused to take any responsibility for damaging my dogs remaining eye. I paid for one cream & I left the practice that day I was so appalled. We brought our cat in for a blood test before this incident & the vet took over 20mins poking around in my cats neck trying to find a vein. We had to tell them to stop as our cat was in great pain & getting very distressed. I should say that any other vets we have been with have never had a problem getting a sample from her. All in all, a very shoddy, negligent practice. If anything happens to your animal under their treatment, they will blame the owner immediately. Avoid Young's Vets Partnership like the plague. read more
