Terrible veterinarians, misdiagnosed my pet multiple times, charged me for consultation each time &…read morethe extortionately overpriced medication that did not work. Went to a different vets in Wallington & was sorted within a few weeks with a totally different diagnosis. Unfortunately this industry is riddled with greed & profiteering from our love for our pets. It may take years of training to become a vet, but with our GPs moving more & more towards AI, hopefully chat GTP will put the cat amongst the pigeons & force some of these practices to take a long hard look at their business models & start treating & charging appropriately. Lived in Carshalton for 50 years, remember when this practice was just a small business that loved the animals & treated the owners as friends. Now it has turned into a monster, bought up multiple houses opposite the park worth millions & fleecing its customers till their pets are dead. Then will twist your arm to use their funeral service to get every last penny they can. Want to bury your loved one in your garden? "Oh we would advise against that, the foxes will dig them up & eat them.. but for a few thousand we will cremate Fido & give you a lovely urn." Every last penny they can! Search around for a small independent veterinary clinic, they will try harder & care more. Like Parkside used to do.

Putting pets and people before profit!…read more In a world where "good business" doesn't actually mean a good business, as all they want to do is take your money and make the money, Parkside vets centre certainly is the exception, not only were the staff friendly and helpful, including the receptionists who I normally feel are vetting me ( excuse the pun) to dissuade me from coming there as I wanted the free appointment and had no money for treatment. Instead I and my suddenly blind cat, although hopeful that the treatment given will reverse this soon, were given an appointment almost straight away, forty minutes to be exact. On seeing the doctor, whom I could tell not only had the credentials/knowledge in her field, but had a true passion and love for animals, as well as being able to empathize with an obviously distraught 'me', no not the cat, he was very calm there in the hands of the Parkside staff and received his treatment well, by the doctor, who had only very briefly spoken with the manager/owner, in regards to my having no available funds to cover the near enough three figured bill, without contributing to any extra stress for myself or the cat, everything got the go ahead. What i'm trying to say in essence is, if you have animals that need care and you can pay, go here, if you can't but need care, go here, and if you don't have a animal but money to spare, donate there, after all its people and places like this that really make the world go round, and not the pound. Lets not let another good business go under because of caring about people, and pets in this case, first. Thanks to all
