We switched to this groomer after having repeated bad experiences at a groomer closer to my house in the Issaquah/Sammamish area. Young Style is a little farther from my house, but after reading all the 5-star reviews, we decided to give them a try. I am really glad that we switched! Scheduling the appointment was easy and without the multi-month lead times that the other groomer required and without scheduling mistakes or delays. When we arrived, the groomer took the time to let the dog get to know her. She asked detailed questions about what we wanted, and let my wife and I know how long to expect. She told us the appointment would take a little longer this time because it was our dog's first appointment there, and she would take things slow to let him acclimate. She finished exactly when she said she would. The groom itself was excellent - exactly what we asked. We will definitely be returning here for future grooming. read more

I had a reservation that was messed up (thanks to my iphone's calendar) and called to confirm my reservation. Glad I did, because I had booked it incorrectly! Still, this spa took my dog in, same day, for a grooming. I have to say, I was very impressed with how clean it is and how much they care about your dog here. After struggling to find a groomer who knew what they were doing with our standard poodle, we were given Young's name from our previous groomer (who we weren't all that thrilled with). We have a neurotic poodle who hates the groomer and has separation anxiety so we were quite nervous about taking her to a new groomer. BEST.DECISION.EVER!! Best grooming our Minnie has ever had. She took video to show us how well behaved and relaxed she was on the table (previous groomer would complain how horrible she was). We've been going to her for a few years and now take our new standard poodle puppy as well! Living in Kenmore, it is not a quick drive for drop-off/pick-up. But it works well for our schedule as I know our 2 pups always take all day with Young as she does an exceptionally thorough job with them. She's definitely more pricey than previous groomers we've had, but boy...she's absolutely worth it!! We can't wait to get our 2 pups back to see her after such a long time away from her; she's definitely been missed! read more

Today was our first grooming experience at Young Style. Annie groomed our Havanese and Havapoo into silky cuteness today. She is patient and kind with the dogs, especially our rescue Havapoo, who was very nervous but did great at the salon. I also way over scheduled my day and had to pick the dogs up early to make a carpool on time. Annie did her best to accommodate me and finished grooming quickly and with skill. It's a real talent she has and I so appreciate how clean, evenly trimmed and adorable my dogs look after grooming. I also love how the dogs are groomed on tables in an open space. They can rest in their own enclosure which is not a crate, it's open at the top with a gate at the front. I know my dogs don't like to be in an enclosed crate, so the safe enclosure is a huge bonus. Sadie is a rescue dog that requires a lot of patience and care. I knew she was in good hands. I am so happy with everything. I'm very happy to find Young for grooming my dog. She is not only professional and knowledgeable, but also really took care of my dog with warm heart while my dog was visiting her shop. I have 8 year old Saint Bernard with lots of hair, and his hair used to be matted within 3 weeks after he got groomed from other grooming shop. He looked okay from outside, but when I grabbed his deep inside hair, it was always matted. After I heard good things about Young, I wanted to give it a try, and the result is, Very satisfied! It's been almost 4 weeks after he got groomed from Young, and I don't feel any. His hair is still nice and shine inside and outside. Also, I really felt that she really spend time with my dog. When I visited her shop to pick up my dog, she explained me about his condition, concerns that she found during grooming him, and tips for maintaining my dog in good shape. He also looked very happy and comfortable. My dog is little shy, but with Young and her crew, he was very sweet to them! It was tremendous experience which I never had from other grooming shop before. I'm absolutely going back to Young for my dog, and highly recommend Young Style! read more

We brought our dog in for a basic bath with Young. We found Young to be very personable and our dog felt comfortable right away. Young did a nice thorough job with our dog on her bath and trimmed her nails. She also trimmed a little of the hair around her four paws. We felt that she is knowledgeable and careful with grooming the dogs. We liked the job that she did. We didn't feel like the organizational part went well in terms of interacting with her for scheduling, etc. She seems to do all of that herself. We had to wait quite awhile for a Saturday appointment and we supplied our dogs vaccination records. We initially had a phone conversation with Young regarding our dog and in that call we talked about how our dog went to another groomer and other details. On the phone Young quoted $90. We texted and emailed the immunization records to young's phone but were never sure that they were received. On the immunization records it stated the age of our dog - 8 years old. When we arrived that Saturday young said that she thought our dog was a puppy. It made no sense since the records clearly stated her age and I had said that our dog had been going to another groomer for years...not sure how that could have made her a puppy. It concerns me that she either is very disorganized or doing a bait and switch approach on the phone. I don't know her well enough to know. She said that she would give us a discount of $10 since we were a referral. When we went to pick up our dog she wanted $120! Apparently that was with the $10 discount. I should also mention that our dog has been completely groomed every 5 weeks so her coat was well taken care of and wouldn't have required any extra effort. Her logic for the price difference was the fact that she thought our dog was a puppy. We also wanted to have a little of the hair between her toes trimmed but we didn't need 2 of the other services included in the basic bath and she said that she doesn't exchange things out. We were asking for something that would have taken much less time than the other two items. It's hard because if you can't change anything out then you have to add prices for the other things, we could end up at $145 for a basic bath, brush, ear clean, nail trim and hair around feet trim. We have never paid more than $85 so that is much higher. Young is a professional dog groomer and seems very well-qualified. However, her pricing seems very high and so we can't afford to go there and pay her that kind of money every 5-6 weeks. I might take our dog there if we didn't take her in so often. As much as she charges and the fact that she doesn't exchange what is included in the service it would be a much better model for someone who only takes their dog to a groomer twice a year. read more

I was quite disappointed with my dogs cut. He is Yorkie with a silky coat and his cut was choppy and uneven. Another odd thing was that he came out coughing. I don't know if he was dusted with something, because it didn't last very long. I will not be taking him back. read more

However, Young and her coworkers would get 10 stars if I could give them. Nicole does my dog's grooming, but I have watched the work of the other groomers, too. I usually bathe my dog myself since my dog can be agressive with strangers and can be nippy. I have always been hesitant for this reason to bring him to a groomer, but he was getting shaggy and my little trims were no longer doing the job. After reading other Yelp reviews, I decided to make an appointment. Upon arriving, we were pleasantly greeted by Annie and she immediately realized I was a bit nervous bringing in my dog for the first time. She graciously calmed my nerves and said not to worry; he would be fine. She also assured me that she would take her time and slowly ease my dog into being comfortable here, which was so kind of her. I also noticed several other clients coming in who appeared to be very happy with their the grooming experience and their dogs seemed happy too.
