This gym would be much better if the members had any gym etiquette or if the employees enforced gym rules. Members will sit on one machine to take a break from the pulley workout they're claiming to be while also bringing dumbells to do in between. One member taking 3 items is absurd and it happens all the time. This isn't your home gym. Nobody puts their weights or attachments back and several members don't wipe down the machines after use. Lastly, there are machines that are not intended for the weight stacks to slam down. If you're too weak yo put them down then don't pick them up. The front desk staff is nice and friendly, but it would be helpful if they enforced the rules or put up signs to make it obvious. read more

I was charged for recurring personal training when i only purchased one block of 12 sessions. I contacted then right away when i noticed a second charge for another block of 12 sessions. The manager told me the trainer told him i wanted another additional block which was not true. When i asked to have a chat with the trainer who stated that the manager told me he was fired. Now they want me to pay for several blocks of training and now will not allow me to enter the gym until the personal training bill is cleared up despite my regular membership being paid for. This gym is dirty so often. Sometimes no paper towels or sanitizer. When you go to the desk to tell them all you hear from them is they don't have a maintenance person or they are short handed. Most of the time the person behind the desk won't come out behind the desk to pick up the garbage left by others. As you will see I've written nothing but positive reviews. 16/16 businesses that I've reviewed have gotten 5 stars. Not necessarily because all of these businesses are 5 stars but I frequent them often enough and believe we all need to be a little bit more positive. However, this place is a disgrace. I signed up for 12 personal training sessions in May for $320. They took it upon themselves to make this a recurring request. When I disputed they said too bad we won't reverse the charges so I had to go through my credit card company. Then, after requesting a payment of $22.69 because my new credit card didn't go through. Once again they took it upon themselves to charge me for 3 more months or $960. When I called 2 days ago and talked to the new General Manager Jackie, she said she could see all of this and was on my side and would fix it. She said she would email some documentation and call me the next day. Never happened. When I called today she was completely different. I think her bosses got a hold of her and changed her mind. Told me that I was responsible for the $960 and had to call customer service to cancel. After 38 minutes on the phone they told me I could only cancel my membership if I moved or had a medical condition. What? I have to be a lifetime member? Or pay you a buyout? Absolute scam. If for some reason you think you want to join this gym, don't sign a thing or just plan on being there for life. They reel you in with the $10/month but then scam a whole lot more out of you. I suggest take a copy of the contract home, hire an attorney and make amendments. We both know they won't sign that so just go buy some gym equipment and work out at home or outside. Worst youfit location ever. Cancelling cost me a total of $70. The gym is small and machines are placed tightly closed together. Everything is green and purple, including the floors, mats, and ceilings. In the beginning it may not affect you, but eventually it gets to you. When cancelling I had to pay the following month ($10), the cancellation fee ($10) and the annual fee ($50). That's a total of $70. This is the worse YouFit location and YouFit is the worst gym I've ever done business with. read more

To join you pay: First and last month which is $20 bucks and then an additional $39 to get started. 90 days after signup there's an additional $39.00 dollar fee. After one year the monthly renewal fee automatically increases to $15.00/monthly. Should you decide to cancel the membership there's a $10.00 cancelation fee. Not exactly the original deal I was expecting. But they did give me a free t-shirt to sweeten the offer. If you're coming here looking for a warm and fuzzy feeling from sensational customer service, a gym tour, dialog with the staff... you're in the wrong place. The staff isn't friendly, they neglect to make eye contact or engage in conversation with you. And although this rough-around-the-edges facility oddly locks down their sanitizer spray to the various trash cans... The Good: Membership is only $10 a month including an annual charge of $40. Compared with some other gyms thats really good. They have a variety of equipment and the staff is friendly. They also wipe down the machines on a regular basis. The Bad: For $10 a month you can expect it to be crowded at times. The highest traffic is in the evening, so if you were mornings just be prepared for that. I split my time between this location and another Youfit... this one has a good amount of machines, especially when you consider that this is a pretty small gym. The cardio machines line the back wall, and the rest of the floor is filled with weight machines. There is always someone cleaning machines when I'm here, which is nice. Parking here can be a little annoying (and I don't even go during peak times). read more

Be aware that undue pressure put on you to get private training. Despite questions about holding or canceling the training before signing up was absolutely lied because they said could be canceled. Now after having issue with my trainer for simply asking about a hold on my training which upset her beyond belief, she then without telling me cancelled all my scheduled training with her!! Had a call about situation from a women in the management of this location and she was going to call me back which she never did. Following had another call from a gentleman explained situation, he apologized and stated that this situation would never happen again. I said it was no worries all I wanted to know from the start was what I needed to do to put training on hold or to finish up my month and cancel. I was then told that it was not possible to cancel only after 3 months and after they collected over $900.00!! I told him that this was not told to me and I asked the manager at the time of me joining what my final cost would be for the training and was told over and over only $300.00. I have now found out this was an out right lie!! I still have not received any call back as the manager told me, he said he was going to see if he could get me a trainer. It's been over a week no call! I have called and still no return! I am a neighbor to this gym and want to warn anyone wanting to join to be aware of bad business practices. Very disappointing with whole situation. I am a senior citizen and I feel that they have taken advantage of my age and put unnecessary pressure on me during what was to be my introduction to the gym (which was no charge) this was just a way to confuse me and put pressure on me to join the extra training! I was a Youfit member and found this gym is the most poorly managed facility in my experience as a member of many gyms both in Florida and the north. I met with several managers regarding issues involving cleanliness, the timely repair of broken equipment and policies regarding the channel selection on the TVs in the cardio area. When I was there they averaged a new manager every month. I did meet with a district manager by chance when she just happened to be in the facility when I requested a meeting. Other than that chance meeting it was impossible to communicate with the regional manager. Staff refused to provide a direct e-mail to the district manager. Staff were generally cordial at first but when I began complaining about the issues mentioned above the became cold and aloof. I would not recommend joining this facility. The original Planet Fitness gyms have opened several new facilities in the area. They are bright, airy and have all new equipment...a much better choise. read more

My wife and I tried to join this joint and buy personal training sessions. We are only in Fl for 4 months so we worked out a short term membership deal. We then tried to buy 12 personal training sessions at the listed price. of approx $400. The manager wouldn't sell it to us. He said we needed the monthly plan where they bill our credit card. He said the 12 session plan was only to show you how to use the equipment. Imagine 12 half hour sessions to figure out how to pull a pin in and out of a machine! I indicated to him that he was FOS. After trying 1 month was very unpleasant for exercise there, first because if you are a woman and have to pass the "CARDIO ZONE" all the guys stare at you , I feel a pressure that was uncomfortable to do exercise and ABS in the cardio zone, also there are a group of men that take all the cardio machines and used all the time that was impossible to use it. The TV for the walking machine not all work, Also they have very poor customer service, I ask for the manager, because when I was working, the guy who takes care of the cardio zone STARE at me , I don't know why,because if he wants to help me he will act a friendly way,he makes me feel uncomfortable I ask the manager and he didn't came that day there, sow the only customer service was only the cashier woman , I explain my situation and she didn't care about it read more

This place advertises itself as a cheaper alternative to traditional gyms that require a contract so they require a $20-60 startup fee, then charge the cheaper rate afterward, not a bad deal for a decent houred gym with "tons" of equipment and "no wait". What they fail to mention is the fact that they have thousands of people signed up, which means that they're making a ton of money on the people that just blindly pay the $10 a month, and don't make any modifications to the amount of equipment with increased clients. I've also found the staff to be very quick to inform of too much noise making, which baffled me because I like to lift heavy and I'd like to see a person lightly deadlift over 400lbs, and make no noise. Long story short, this gym is a joke and that's the lightest way I know to put it. It's entirely over crowded, the wait for equipment is so frustrating I have been forced to just do cardio waiting for things to free up, which has been over an hour. I joined a few weeks ago and I like the price. But don't expect anything else. Beware of the "free session with a personal trainer". It's a sales gimmick, and a bad one. They started with a quote of $400/month for a personal trainer and brought it down to $30 and I still didn't sign up. The trainer even pretended to talk to the gym manager, "Nick", on the phone. Silly! I thought a trainer was going to help show me how to use the machines properly. Instead, I left pissed off. I joined the gym with my credit card and they called me three times to get my checking account info. (If I can pay car insurance with a credit card, then my gym membership will need to accept it as well.) Just keep in mind that this is a corporate gym. The cheap price causes them to pressure you with hard sales pitches. Once you get over them, it's an easy gym to use. I like the $20 price to use any gym in the country. read more

Then they called me twice a week asking for my acct and routing number- they know ppl change debit cards but not acct numbers which will get them more money when ppl forget about the gym. One thing I realized is that although there are paper towels and sanitizing spray spread out all through the gym, it is not the culture of the gym goers to wipe down machines after use which is really gross. While I know they cannot police every single person I do feel like they should try to enforce this more. I literally have not seen one single person wipe down a machine. Unsanitary.
