You & Me feels like an Asian department store tucked into the heart of Chinatown. The top floor is filled with cute decor items, build-your-own book nook kits, claw machines, and collectible figures -- pretty similar to other stores nearby, but still fun to browse. What sets this place apart is the downstairs area, which is more of a traditional department store vibe. They've got a huge selection of cosmetics, a smaller section of skincare, and a whole stationery area with a ton of pens (though I'll admit, the prices felt steep -- not sure if that's just Philly, but it's definitely more expensive than what I'm used to). Snack selection was solid and reasonably priced, and I was excited to see the TikTok-famous mango and peach ice cream bars sold individually for \$5 each. Most places make you buy the full 3-pack for \$15 when you just want to try one, so this was a win in my book. There's also a small café and seating area downstairs, which is a nice touch, but the cleanliness definitely needs work -- the floor was sticky, trash cans were duct-taped together, and the space just didn't feel as fresh as it should for a newer store. Service was great though -- fast checkout, no one hovering over you, and the overall vibe was relaxed and easygoing. It's not perfect, but You & Me has a fun selection and a unique setup that makes it worth checking out if you're in the area.

Blind boxes, cute keychains, gachapon, snacks, and more - all in one shop! This place is deceptively large with a range of cute items on the first floor and a whole second store of snacks and beauty products on the second floor. They have a great range of products and some I've never even seen before. I definitely overindulged on the blind boxes though lol. I collect the Nanci figures and not only did they have the current releases, they also had some of the older series I haven't seen in a while.

Reasonable prices and good variety. I remembered this store from what it was before. I don't believe the steps were painted as a rainbow before. Also, this mini-complex used to be three stores. A grocery store in the basement where they had another separate entrance off of Cherry or Race St. which I believe is shut off now, a hole in the wall cafe that took cash only, didn't speak English, and had bitter melon beef ho fun at a really good price, and a discount store on the top level with a mosh mash of items. My oh my have they changed this set of stores to the store that is now You and Me. The previous grocery store had unusual herbs that were apparently hard to find. While it is ashame that the previous grocery store could no longer survive, its replacement seems to "honor" that vibe in a way that will help this store thrive. Octopus dumplings, black sesame Oreos, so many options- some of which I never ran into before and some that have showed up here and there to me instead of "all at once".

This place is finally open, it used to be a beat up Chinese grocery store at the location, now it's more like a department store rather than a grocery store has pretty much everything that you can see in the other grocery store. It's a new construction, and the price reflects that, however, they do have some unique items that aren't sold in the area, so it's still a good addition to the Philadelphia Chinatown neighborhood. Another good thing is that they do take credit cards without a minimum limit. Would recommend for you to at least check it out.

This store is amazing and includes rare items from Japan, Korea, and China at very affordable prices. What a gem and a must for Asian culture lovers. The price point, diverse selections, and value drive this review to five stars. Bonus points: they sell Four Lokos here for some reason!

This store was significantly larger than what I thought it would be. It has a little bit of everything in it too. The grocery selection was vast as well as reasonably priced. The upstairs level was very well kept and orderly. I really enjoyed this store.

What a great... and MASSIVE store! This shop has not just "a bit" but A LOT of everything! The downstairs grocery has everything from beauty items, housewares, small cooking tools and appliances, and LOTS of Asian groceries for very fair prices! I know where I am going to stock up my pantry on black vinegar, soy sauces, peppers and spices, and more! There are also refrigerated/frozen items like ramen, ice cream, meat, meals, and many packaged snacks and drinks. The staff are all really nice and excited about the new store. Despite how busy it is, there are lots of items in stock and people were constantly adding more while I shopped and took photos to send to friends :) There is a small dining area downstairs to eat! Upstairs there is jewelry, toys, plushies, and several gachapon and claw machines! The LEDs and music are so fun. Tokens can be our purchases to play the games at the cashier counter.

Family had a great time shopping here! Can't really speak on too much of the food. Food items we got were non perishables and drinks. Lots of cute items. Service here was great! Greeted us at the door.

John is not this way. He truly cares about his customers needs above all else. He is as kind, caring and genuine as they come - a rare breed. By no means though do i want to under shadow is incredible talent. The engagement ring John designed for Jenna is nothing short of spectacular. John used a family heirloom diamond to create the ring of Jenna's dreams. He created the ring carefully, efficiently and just as precisely as we had discussed during our design session. Whether you're a seasoned Jewelry shopper or someone with limited knowledge, John is your guy. I can't recommend him highly enough. Thank you John for the incredible experience.

She wore it once or twice and I never went back to get the chain lengthened as I no longer worked in the city due to COVID. We went back to work this spring and I figure I can get him to make good on his word. Then after spending $2k he tries to chisel me for another $40 for an extension that he promised he would do as a courtesy if we needed to make an adjustment to the chain length. I can get a $40 extension anywhere. Then he gets nasty and belligerent with me. Not a good move John. Sorry John. Your loss, not mine. I got my engagement ring from Bario Neal with help from Taylor…read more What I like about Bario Neal is that it is a local business with unique jewelry designs, that they use ethical materials and reclaimed metals. I thought their website blog was also helpful when I was considering settings and stones. My fiancé and I met with Taylor who helped us pick out something that was beautiful to both of us that was within budget. I felt like she had helpful suggestions and was informative. She was warm and understanding not judgy or dismissive. I had gone to other jewelers to just shop around for rings--but it was somewhat uncomfortable as they suggested I come back with my fiancé or give my fiancé their card and they seemed to shrug me off. I mean, I am the one wearing the ring..am I right ladies?? I got none of that weird creepy sexist feeling at Bario Neal. So ladies if you want to get jewelry for yourself -- I would feel comfortable getting it at Bario Neal! If you are planning a surprise engagement though --- definitely have a clear communication plan of who is getting the emails and contacts. My fiancé and I were not as clear about this/were ambivalent about it, so I got the emails which for the ring--which was not a big deal but I know for some people that's a big deal ‍ This is also going to sound kind of stupid and snobby--but I really liked that Bario Neal jewelry has a presence in fashion magazines and blogs but to each their own, right? Lol. Anyhow--yeah if you want a piece of jewelry that is local, unique, ethical, heirloom worthy, meaningful and you don't want to feel awkward or weird while shopping--I would go to Bario Neal--but for Covid make sure you make an appointment.

My partner ((L)GBTQ) and I walked into an empty Bario Neal to see engagement rings at 11:45am. We were told that an appointment was coming in at noon but with three sales people loitering around the spacious and empty store we didn't think much of it, especially because we came prepared. We came with a list of the four rings we wanted to see to be efficient. I was surprised that despite claiming "we strive for inclusivity at every step, from a non-gendered design ethos and comprehensive sizing," the store only had small ring sizes to try on, with almost none of the engagement rings fitting on my ring finger. I'm a trim 5'6 cis woman hoping to try on more feminine rings: if you struggle to be inclusive of me I doubt anyone who is more gender expansive than myself, or even someone with a more full figure or is plus-sized would have a much better time. The scheduled couple walk in at 12:15, a man in a literal yacht club quarter zip and a petite woman with a balayage. The woman working with us lit up and rushed over to say "hi!! My name is Meghan, welcome!" We were ushered out of there so fast our heads spun. We realized that Meghan didn't even bother to introduce herself to us. If your business does not want walk-ins just say it. Don't be wishy washy. And don't claim to be radically inclusive if you don't have at least a second size of sample rings. I'm not going to bother wondering if they were less bullish for my business than a man's in a yacht club quarter zip, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were.

It has been quite a while since I have written a review, but I could not pass up the opportunity to…read moreshare what a wonderful experience I had at Harry Merrill & Son... After nine years, I *finally* decided to propose to my girlfriend, and as any guy would, I wanted both the ring and the experience to be as special as possible. I started out at two local jewelers recommended to me, but each left me feeling like I just went to the big box jeweler that begins with the letter 'K' in the malls across America. Each tried to sell me a premade ring and said they could "modify" it to "make it custom" if I wanted. No thank you! I then went to Harry Merrill on the recommendation of a family member and met Rob and Nicole. What I experienced there was something entirely different. Starting with the stone(s) and building the setting, Rob advised on what would make the best ring, took the time to answer my 101 questions, and listened to everything that I wanted. I must add that I am pretty OCD about purchases that are much smaller than this, so you can imagine what I put Rob through! He was patient and kind the entire way and gently guided me in a direction that I did not think I wanted to go in at first, but looking back I am incredibly glad I took his advice. Once everything was set into motion, Nicole stayed in contact every step of the way and was so accommodating when I had questions or had to pop in to make a change, which there were numerous instances of. What I proposed with is a one-of-a-kind piece that is timeless, elegant, and stunning. My fiancée absolutely loves the ring, as do I. Whether it is an engagement ring or an everyday piece, do not overlook Harry Merrill & Son; if you do, you will be missing out on both bespoke quality and a 10/10 experience... We cannot wait to go back in and design our wedding bands!!
