Eye's Gallery

So happy that Eye's Gallery has reopened! Bright & colorful! Stocked with so many beautiful things from fun animal hoodies to exotic wall hangings! Very helpful and welcoming staff made shopping a pleasurable experience.

This is a fascinating place. After falling in love with Isaiah Zagar's Magic Gardens in Philadelphia, I heard that Eyes was an extension of him and his wife's interests in Latin American crafts, clothing and gifts. Zagar's influence and little Magic Garden-esque touches are seen throughout the store in little surprises, like on random ceilings or corners. But this is truly his wife's store (or, at least, that's the vibe I got). It's a gallery of artisan items for sale mixed with an art gallery with works for purchase. There's 3 floors (I think). Much like the Magic Gardens, every inch of the store is artfully covered. It's so hard to explain. Hand-woven shawls will be next to paper mache masks, next to beaded purses, next to Día de los Muertos trinkets next to beautiful wall decor and hamsa jewelry. If you don't inspect every inch of this store, you're doing yourself a clear disservice. Part of the fun is just going in with no goals and falling down the rabbit hole. Don't miss this gallery!

I have a birthday coming up, and this is where I'm sending anyone who wants to get me something that isn't the usual gift of a beer ;) I could seriously live in this gallery. they have three floors of Dia De Los Muertos figurines, mosaics, glassworks, lucha libre masks, winter clothing, crosses, hand drums, artistic mirrors, and a shrine to Frida Kahlo! seriously how can you go wrong with such coolness? Also be sure to check out their sweet book section!

Awesome store with beautiful art, sadly customer service did not match the vibe. The woman who was ringing up my boyfriend snickered because he was buying only this small inexpensive gift saying "what-did you want this in a box?? I don't even know if you can use a card to pay for this.." Sorry not everyone needs to spend hundreds to feel good about their pseudo spirituality :o I suggest checking out some of the other secondhand stores in the area instead :)

A unique place was finally discovered (born on 1968). Eye's Gallery. A whole different world. I've lived in Philly most of the past seven years, and I never knew about this gallery, until I took the "Magic Garden" tour few weeks ago. I found out that this phenomenal staple, wasn't just another mosaic master-piece art-work by "Isaiah Zagar." It is an Eye Opener to the Latin American world. Three floors of handpicked folk art, clothes, one-of-a kind jewelry, día de muertos's skulls, to name just a few. Escape the ordinary, and expand your horizons. I guarantee you'll have a great time, you'll be surprised and delighted by the visually stunning pieces. The prices ranges, but it is worth the indulgence Five Yelp

My favorite shop on earth! Get ready to feast your eyes on Mexican folk art, Virgen's De Guadalupe, Dia De Los Muertos stuffs, Frida galore....and that's just Mexico! To name a few, this place is choc full of funky/quirky/cool things from Mexico to India. They have everything from clothing, jewelery, instruments and even Mexican tiles! The items are a bit pricey but I understand that they come from afar and are authentic. There are 3 levels to the store and each level is more exciting than the next. They also have either Latin American or Indian tunes playing in the background that which makes you feel like you are somewhere exotic. Some walls are adorned with Isaiah Zagar's Mosaic wall art which is one of my favorite elements to the store. If you love world cultures and beautiful folk art then this is the place for you to either shop or just admire. I promise you will be in awe.

Found this place on a trip to Philly through a virtual tour we were doing. Super unique and eccentric. Although, it might be misleading by the name, this place is NOT actually a gallery, it's a shop of eccentricities. There were so many random things that you would never even think of. I would even go as far as to say it's a little bit creepy because of some of the devil worship-y items. The bottom floor has a few more "normal" items such a plain glassware and plates. The main floor also has clothing and accessories. The top floor has some antique-looking items. I highly recommend you stop by if you're ever in the area. I'm not exactly sure what one would buy here because I couldn't find a single thing I really needed, but at least take a look around!

** LOVELY SHOP AND STAFF - WORTH A VISIT OR A TRIP TO PHILLY ** This is the sort of wonderful shop that makes you want to de-clutter your whole house and then go here and buy everything they have. It's one of the main reasons I take the bus from NYC to Philly. You could spend hours looking through the clothes and jewelry and goodies and the staff are so friendly and personable - we spent half the time looking at stuff and half the time chatting with the gals behind the counter - it's just that kind of place. Definitely recommended.

They did have some stationary like cards, stickers, washi tape, journals, and more but everything was very expensive. There wasn't a large range of any of those items I mentioned, just a handful of journals, maybe five stickers, etc. The store also sold some home goods, purses, and other gift items but nothing that made me say "wow". Overall, the selection was very expensive. I felt let down by the recommendation of this store and won't be back.

Located in Old City, Omoi Goods is an exceptional shop for not only stationary supplies like inks, stamps, journals, and pens, but also beautiful greeting cards, BAGGUs, stickers!!, and more! The employees were soooooo lovely and polite when I went and I must highlight that they created their own totally free (!!) pamphlet guide to Philly!! It's truly a labor of love that includes their own suggestions on shops, restaurants, cafes, food and drinks to order, parts of town to visit, even a whole map of the city??
