HIGH volume of interesting pieces, all artfully arranged. It feels like you've walked into the closet of the coolest chick you know (or dude-- they've got men's clothing to and a limited selection of kids stuff). Owner has an amazing eye for the special and unusual. She is supa sharp, friendly and FLY, toting both a cool life story & of how the store came to be. Chatting with her and her staff through my visit made for a fun shopping experience. Aw they got some sweet lil' puppies in dere too. Lovin' that. All the clothing I inspected- I am a shopper who dallies- was in impeccably good condition. I am not normally the type to blow a lot of dough in one place but I developed romantic relationships with several items and, even after strategically leaving the store to spend the afternoon thinking over whether or not I REALLY wanted them, I returned because turns out I REALLY REALLY DID. At this vintage boutique, the quality and one-of-a-kind nature of the piece comprises the price, which, though not cheap, is worth it if you are the type that cares for your clothes properly. You know what? I am not even one of those people- I'd call my style that of the "funky-slob"- but 2% to glory makes me want to start handwashing and putting in the effort. They've got the goods, now I just need to instill the care habits. I also proposed consignment to the owner, who said "Why not?" though I have yet to drop things off. I'm just happy she's even into the idea, because I see no other way to continue shopping there 'til I have secured a big girl jerb. Though soon as I do, I'll be prowling this joint on the reg. I almost hesitate to publish this review...I picture duking it out with some faceless lady customer for ownership of the woolen rust-colored bathing suit that I hypothetically decide I must have. I just wanted to jump in headfirst and buy everything even though i didn't have a single dime on me. They definitely don't sell filler stuff here! everything is quality awesome stuff. Yes, it's pricey for what it is. usually i'd say "hell naw" and the odds are pretty good that i won't be able to shop here as much as i want, but like i said, there is good stuff here. a lot of the clothes are set up in sections in the shelves to go together. everything about the store is very appealing. as soon as i walked in i exclaimed "i didn't know this place was here!" and one of the girls who worked there looked up from what she was doing and smiled and chatted with me about their hours, etc. very nice, well dressed people here that aren't pretentious or rude! everything else about it is pretty straight forward. i'm just excited to find a nice place close to home that i don't have to dig for hours to emerge with only one good thing!

They have incredible planters and a wide variety of plant options. I saw a pineapple growing while inside and was so impressed! The store itself offers fairly priced vintage and used furniture, decor, and clothing items. I was shocked to see how inexpensive some items were! I am in need of a small couch and they had some options, but I couldn't find anything that matched my decor. I will definitely return to see what they have in the coming weeks!

The older couple who own this store are quiet and friendly but give you the time to browse around without hovering. They were open to answering any questions I might have had also. I contemplated if I had a space for some things in my house if any. Lots caught my eye, and I could appreciate the character throughout the store. I zoned in on this dainty, cool glass wall planter and decided to pick it up comparing it to another- both similar the same shape but different painted designs. I imagined the wall space for it and decided it would be perfect for a rooting Pothos plant! It was small enough to carry on the plane also. If I fancied anything else, I would have found a way to get it back to California. I l later discovered it's a blown glass piece by Jason Probstein. I'm delighted to discover there are galleries with his artwork here in California also! If you're wandering around the Old City area of Philadelphia, this is a gem of a store to browse. Whoever buys for Anastacia's really has a good eye for antiques. The stuff they have here is really rare and unique. This is not a junk Knick knack shop and most of the items have a price tag to reflect how unique they are. Lots of 1800's to turn of the century items you won't find anywhere else with a museum quality presentation and feel. Check them out!

I live very close to Home Spun so in the process of moving I donated everything from clothes to vacuum cleaners. The really wonderful thing about Home Spun is that anything they can't sell in the store (cutting boards and irons and the like) they offer to the residents of Project HOME for free. So if you're looking to donate, I highly recommend you donate here! I stopped by yesterday (for the first time) to check out their clothing selection, and was really impressed with some of the finds. I bought two designer work dresses for $6 each (normally dresses are $10, but they had a 40% off sale)! First of all, Project HOME is a wonderful cause that I encourage anyone to support. 100% goes back to their organization that helps homelessness. Second, I have found clothes such as a vintage dress from J. Crew, a business dress from Theory, and other great finds -- and I have never spent more than $10.00 each visit. I have walked by this shop almost daily on my way to work, but never had occasion to pop in until…read morerecently. I was greeted nicely enough by a gentleman who sat slightly obscured behind a stack of... things. The whole store was full of ..... things. The store had everything from "vintage" stuff to random junky stuff that just looked... used. The displays made it really difficult to walk around. All in all, interesting, but nothing really caught my eye and I left empty-handed.
