My service was so quick and very on point. We started with the tuna tacos and the takoyaki. The tuna tacos were GREAT! The crispy shell and combination of flavors made it an awesome app. The takoyaki was great too. For entrees, we got the Spicy Lady Roll, it was fresh and just what I wanted for a sushi roll. We got a poke bowl that was good as well. To our surprise, they had pad thai, which we were excited about because we wanted thai but chose a sushi restaurant. The pad thai was super flavorful and very yummy. The lychee martini was just how I like it, not too strong but flavorful with the lychee flavor! Quality sushi spot with excellent specials rolls We ordered takeout several times and also dined in at Yosuki Sushi in 2025. It's a typical small Japanese restaurant like the ones you often find on shopping plazas. It has a pretty, minimalistic decor, and a quiet, relaxed atmosphere. Takeout orders were always ready exactly on time. Dine-in service was ok, though it could be more attentive. The regular sushi rolls are very fresh, flavorful, with little rice, and taste great. The special rolls are the real highlight - they are delicious. Our favorites were Tuna Lover Roll, Summer Roll, Twin Tower Roll, Fantastic Roll, and Holiday Roll, though all others we tried were also very good. The teriyaki Chicken was juicy and flavorful, my daughter loved it and finished the entire plate. Appetizers we tried Pork Gyoza - excellent Pork Shumai - unremarkable Beef Negimaki - excellent! Warm, juicy, with tender, not chewy beef Tuna Tartare - a bit disappointing. It was essentially large tuna chunks on a bed of avocado with a thin layer of sauce spread on the plate. Tuna Tartare should be more than just tuna cubes. Make the cuts finer, mix in some dressing, lime juice, sesame seeds, cucumber, etc. to make it a distinct and balanced dish. For dessert, the Tempura Ice Cream and Green Tea Mochi were fine, nothing special. The tempura could be crunchier. Overall, Yosuki Sushi is a solid neighborhood Japanese place with fresh sushi and excellent special rolls. We'll definitely return, and we can easily recommend it for sushi staples. read more

Yosuki Sushi is an aesthetically pleasing restaurant that is clean & spacious. The fish is fresh and I love their appetizers and special rolls. My favorite appetizer is the tuna tacos with wasabi mayo. It's absolutely delicious and something you won't find in most sushi restaurants. I also love the fact that they sell cocktails and they're pretty delicious and strong too! Came here twice in one week, from the other side of the island, so that says a lot and I'm definitely going to return! Met the owner Steven and he's very nice. Last min yelp search for dinner and found this gem! Read all the good reviews so decided to come try ! They did not disappoint at all! We ordered some drinks, they were pretty strong too! Had us feeling nice during dinner ! The tuna tacos are very good ! I definitely want to try their salmon tacos next time! Our fav dish has to be the chilean sea bass, it has a hint of yuzu sauce! FINALLY a high quality sushi spot opened in this neighborhood (actually all of the South Shore). If your a sushi snob or just someone who actually enjoys high quality sushi this is definitely the go to spot. What we ate: An order of salmon tacos and tuna tacos appetizers. The tacos were so fresh and they did not skimp out on the fish ! We personally like the salmon ones better but that's just because we just prefer salmon over tuna any day. Grilled squid appetizer: agian NOT a skimpy order and full of flavor! Had a great crunch on the ends without any burn and a perfect sauce. Yosuki Dinner for two was outstanding ! All the sashimi was cut equality and agian ... FRESH. Great amount of food for two. We got a couple of other things but those were definitely the highlights. It's alright portions are small and of Thai is not as expected. I ordered with shrimp and chicken and the shrimps are not fresh. If Yosuki put a better quality cooking and picking ingredients the south shore would definitely come back for more. read more

Great first experience!!! Nice decor inside and the greeter was very pleasant. Took home a few menu's for a takeout order. Whoever answered the phone was very nice (not use to that around here in tottenville) spoke clearly and was very responsive. We ordered several appetizers, rolls and entrees. Here is how they rated in our opinion: kani salad= 7 out of 10 ( similar to the other restaurants), rolls were a 9 out of 10 (fresh and filled with sushi, perfect amount of rice) soft shell crab app= 7out of 10. we got a chicken pad thai and a vegetable pad thai ( very good taste, packed with chicken) easily the best i tasted in the area. sushi pizza was also a 7 out of 10. All in all it was a very good, way better than the competitors. our bill was 130.00 and we were very satisfied with the amount of food. Lets hope they keep it going, friendly folks and good food. First time My wife and I tried it was today which i was very excited about because the first time I had seen a new sushi place was opening up it was still coming soon . For starters we ordered Takeout and had ordered a couple of sushi rolls(Eel & Cucumber, Sweet Potato, Yellow Tail and Jalapeño, Spicy Shrimp & Avocado Roll) and some traditional sushi (Torched Toro & Fatty Tuna) , we had also gotten an order of Takoyaki. We were very impressed, the sushi was fresh and well-made and was just really great, I especially loved the Yellowtail Jalapeño roll had a nice kick to it and the pepper was still crisp so it was very fresh. I am also a huge fan or Takoyaki so when i saw this on the menu i was really excited because so few Japanese restaurants on Staten Island actually make it (So Far 2 i have found) And those were even great considering they had to make their way home before they were eaten , they had a nice outside and a creamy middle with a bit of Octopus , but was missing Takoyaki sauce and some green onion but its a minor criticism because overall it was one of the best takeout sushi i have had on the island and look forward to coming back and dining in the restaurant the next time !! read more
