We are in 2022 and after the pandemic I am giving Manor Sushi an extra star. Mind you, I can't afford full price meals. So I rely on getting lunch specials. The roll size portions have gotten better. For five sushi rolls lunch special (3+2), two salads (yummy), and two miso soups (as if I didn't notice the serving container got smaller), including tax is $25.26 (Serving for 2). So, without further ado, I always go back to Manor Sushi to get our cravings out of the way. read more

Horrible customer service. Ordered today and the man who took my order repeated it back to me, correctly. The order I received for myself was totally wrong. I called expecting them to give me my correct order and got NO WHERE. All he did was repeat the wrong order he sent me like it would magically make all ok. Again got no where to try to rectify. Extremely disappointed. He did nothing to correct his OWN mistake, maybe he didn't wanna look bad? IDK. The woman who usually takes my order has never gotten it wrong so there's a tip for ppl who wanna order here. I will easily go to another place for my sushi, there are plenty. Tried once and will never go back. Keep reading if you wanna know why. My husband and I went on a Saturday afternoon for lunch specials. It was raining and cold outside and Manor Sushi was within walking distance so decided to give it a try. What a mistake! I ordered a pork katsu bento box and my husband ordered a shrimp teriyaki lunch plate. My entree - My pork katsu came out to be two thin slices of pork "crepes" chopped finely, instead of a thick, juicy pork chop cut generously. The pork was like 3 mm thick at most, the panko crust was even thicker than the pork itself. Taste was ok for the pork katsu I mean it is something that's very hard to go wrong. However, it doesn't come with any vegetables. Traditionally pork katsu comes with sliced cabbage but this ordered came with no vegetables at all! The shumai was alright, tasted like something you can buy at any Asian grocery store frozen section. The california roll was alright too (again it is something that is very hard to mess up), but the soy sauce was definitely NOT Japanese soy sauce for sushi. It was too dark and too salty I'm pretty sure it was Chinese soy sauce for cooking! My husband's entree - On his shrimp teriyaki plate there were only 4 shrimps, and they were mysteriously fried before getting sauteed in teriyaki sauce. And there wasn't even enough sauce. Miso soup - Tasted like water. Please, miso soup paste is pretty cheap. They could have been more generous on it. Green tea - Yes, I'm commenting on the green tea. I can't believe it either. It was so tasteless we poured it on a white plate and found out it was clear! They are cheap on the tea leaves too. Come on! Service - We were the only table in this very small establishment, we didn't notice any phone-in orders for pick up or delivery and somehow we got no service. The waitress wasn't even filling our cups until we asked. There were no other customers we're worried about the freshness of the raw fish. Even Manor Sushi is within walking distance from our house we're pretty sure we won't be going back to try their sushi. read more

If I could give no stars I WOULD. Ordering process for manor sushi wasnt long at all. Got my food delivered within 20 min. The Delivery guy was probably the worst I have ever encountered. He walked up and tossed my food at me and when I signed the paper with 0.00 being his tip he complained for a minute about nothing being his tip. When I said no he ripped the paper I signed off of the menu and threw it at me. I have never in my days had someone throw something over a tip and when talking about it with my friends they also say they have had the same encounter with this crappy customer service. His name is JIN just so you know and when I called in to make managment aware of course they didnt have a manager in. Terrible delivery service. We have been ordering from them for years. We work at a dental office 5 min away. Yesterday was the second time that the ginger sauce for sale was spoiled. That's so bad. We had to throw out salads. Also their Spicy Kani salad changed. Became smaller and not as tasty. Their prices also went up. And the delivery person is never happy with tip. Never says thank you. So disappointed. Feeling a little under the weather today and figured I'll treat myself instead of cook. Grubhub was having issues with my credit card, but whatever, I'll just call the restaurant directly and place my order. It was the most irritating experience. First, when I called and asked for delivery and gave my address, the lady who answered told me they don't deliver there. I told her she comes up on Grubhub under places that deliver to my area. She goes "oh okay, what do you want?" I gave her my order, and she tried to ask questions about what I wanted, but her accent was so thick, I had no idea what she was trying to ask me. One piece or two? I ordered a dinner entree, what do you mean one piece or two? She then repeated my order to me with an address that was nowhere near where I lived. How do you mix up Z__ St with F___ C______ Rd?? After I corrected her, she just said "okay, thank you" and hung up, without giving me the total for my order, taking my credit card, or giving me an estimated time for delivery. This restaurant produces as pleasant food as the service. My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this place when going to get yogurt form the place next door. I decided that when seeing the Manor Sushi restaurant, I was feeling more up for a meal than snack. The woman inside was very nice and our orders were ready very quickly. The sushi specials they have are among the most well presented and flavorful meals I have ever had. Every piece of fish was very fresh tasting and what is displayed at the sushi bar is very high quality fish. This place has become my destination of choice and I will be a patron of this restaurant for a very long time. You will be well beyond satisfied upon visiting this restaurant!! When this restaurant opened the food was pretty descent. Recently, the food has become miserable and the service is non existent. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and there wasn't a trace of tuna. When I approached the waitress asking about the fish, she pretended not to hear me. I repeated myself nicely thinking that she didn't hear me, but still not a word. Everything on my plate was a mystery. Each sushi roll consisted of 75% flavorless rice and 25% of mystery fish. I am serious when I say beware of this place. One of my favorite places to eat of all times. Quick service, friendly staff, and the buy one get one saki is a true bonus! My favorite is the chicken tempora and for desert is the BANANA tempora! My fiancée and I decided to give some new sushi places a try because why not? Maybe there is a hidden gem out there. Manor Sushi is the farthest thing from a gem. We were immediately turned off by the approach of the staff when we walked into the place. There was no approach. There was another couple sitting toward the back, and a single sushi chef behind the counter. We were not greeted and we were not told where to sit. No big deal, until we were asked to move from where we seated ourselves two seats down. When you go into this place, you'll see it is not big at all and there was literally no reason for us to move. Also, the establishment did not have its lights on or air conditioning on. The door was wide open. I don't think a warm stuffy room is great for sushi? But I'm no expert. The door wide open only meant we had to fight numerous flies when the food came. The staff besides the waitress all looked like they rolled out of bed. I'm really not a stickler for that kind of stuff but it really turned me off. Despite all of this we still decided to give the food a shot. The rolls were a little on the expensive side so I went with a Bento Box with an extra Salmon Roll and my fiancée went with the Chicken Hibachi with a California Roll. The soy sauce is in masked ceramic on the table so we don't know if it's Kikkoman and you have no reduced sodium option. The soup and salad that came with the dishes were good. Then our entrees arrived and the first thing we noticed is, she wasn't given hibachi. She had chicken and vegetable with soy sauce thrown on it and a glob of white rice. Nothing hibachi about her dish in the slightest. The salmon roll was not pleasant at all. The rice was so hot I could I've sworn it was going to cook the damn salmon in the roll. And my California roll that came with the box? It fell apart on contact. Best part was when we were ready to leave. We were tired from fighting all the flies. I called the waitress twice and each time she gave me the 1-minute finger, and was eating HER food RIGHT next to the sushi chef table. Needless to say, we will never go there again. Stopped by with my husband a few weeks ago, & really wanted to love it. A Japanese place a few blocks from our new house just HAD to be great, right? Well, not so much. The husband got his Japanese go-to: Tempura Chicken & Veggies. Now, I know this may sound urban legendy, but there was a hair in his Tempura. A long, black hair. So yeah, gross. Since we had gotten takeout, we called to complain, & were told there was no one who could help us. As for me, the sushi I got was fresh & yummy. No problems there. We both got Miso soup, which was really tasteless. Watery & bland. Also, when we were ordering our takeout, the people helping us were very nice. When we called to complain, we mentioned who we were, since we had been the only customers in the place. They still claimed no one could assist us, & acted like they didn't remember us. Alright then. Oh yes, we got offered green tea to sip while we waited for our order, which was also super bland. But free. So there you go. Most likely won't be back. read more
