I have been to Fushimi quite a few times and the food is always amazing - but what is most important is in these times of poor service - its always beyond expectations. I want to do a special shout out to Wai - who went above and beyond - He was execeptional read more

Fushimi is still the best sushi on Staten Island, no contest. I always start with the rock shrimp tempura which is a must. After that we got a bunch of specialty rolls, some nigiri, and a couple classic rolls. Everything was super fresh and spot-on. The real surprise was the steak. Perfectly cooked, great sear, and the sauce was excellent. Didn't expect it to be the highlight, but it was. I could argue this was the best overall meal on the island. read more

This is what $32 gets you at @Fushimi on Richmond Road -- barely a handful of tuna tartare that looked more like cat food, tasted extremely fishy and smelled off, plus only three pieces of salmon sashimi. This place has gone downhill real fast. Absolutely gross. Anyone else have the same experience lately? read more

Finally, I had the chance to try this restaurant. We went for lunch. So it wasn't crowded. We were seated in a nice cozy booth. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Our server was super friendly and attentive. We ordered a few appetizers to share. All the dishes were amazing. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes. We live nearby and always order from this location. Today we celebrated a special event and decided to order from them. We ordered our favorite chu toro sushi-The dish we have been ordering for many years. When we received the food the chu toro did not look or taste like the chu toro we always get. When we called to complain the restaurant. the manager was very rude. He said the chef had sent us chu toro. He yelled at us. That is what we got for being loyal customers for 13 years. Fushimi does not appreciate their customers, which is very unfortunate. Now, we know why the Page ave location closeddown. read more

The valet is absolutely amazing, so kind and brought my car to me in an instant with no issues. The staff was very friendly and it is beautiful inside. The food is very good no matter what you get but the steak is absolutely amazing. I recommend this place 100%! read more

Delicious food, beautiful decor, but a little pricey. The restaurant itself is very beautiful, I've been to the Staten Island Fushimi, Bay Ridge, and Williamsburg locations and they are all gorgeous and upscale. Not your typical sushi restaurant, this is a perfect place for a special occasion dinner, etc. The food here is delicious, my friend and I ordered the steamed pork gyoza to start, it was very enjoyable and came with about six pieces which was a good size for an appetizer. Next we got fried rice with beef to share, the fried rice was wasn't very flavorful and needed soy sauce. It was $17 for a decent portion, but could only be ordered as a separate side. I had asked our server if I could have chicken teriyaki and substitute the whipped potatoes and vegetables for the fried rice, she asked the kitchen but they said no which was disappointing. I've never been to an Asian cuisine restaurant where they served mashed potatoes with the teriyaki entree. So instead we ordered the side of rice and I got a sushi roll instead of the teriyaki entree. The sushi roll I got was the American Dream roll. I've had this many times before and each time it is more delicious. It is basically a shrimp tempura roll with kani salad on top and mango sauce. It was very fresh and the kani salad was outstanding and creamy. The mango sauce tops it all off, I could eat three of these without batting an eyelash. It is more expensive than a special roll at your standard sushi place, it's about $18 for eight pieces but it's worth it every once in a while. My friend got the duck which I tried and it was very tasty, the sauce added a nice flavor, but the portion was small and it didn't come with a side. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant highly as the food is so good but be prepared to spend! read more

Love the food my favorite place in Staten Island! Great service and food! Highly recommend!

Decent sushi place to go to in Staten Island. I usually go to the Brooklyn location by bay ridge but ever since moving here I've been hearing neighbors compliment this place. Came in around 6 for my sisters birthday party. They sat us at the corner of the restaurant which was sadly dark and quiet. Service was still pretty good though. Highly recommend the Long Island ice tea for light drinks, their other drinks are super strong for the occasional drinker. Appetizers were phenomenal. It's the usually firecracker shrimp and calamari but executed perfectly. Came out pipping hot and crispy with decent portion sizes. We all shared our food as we ordered the steak (came with bone marrow and mash potatoes), sushi rolls, sashimi deluxe, and some hand rolls. Food was great, sushi was decent not worth the price point. I think almost 16$ a roll the sushi would be amazingly fresh but it was your corner store sushi restaurant quality. The star of the show was definitely the steak, juicy and fatty and the gravy was amazing. The price was pretty ok with the big chunk of meat they provide. They were so nice to provide a cute celebration for my sisters birthday and came with free dessert. read more

If I could rate our experience at 10, I would! The blue fin tuna tartar was the star of the evening. I could eat it everyday. We ordered the sashimi pizza, miso soups, kani salads, rock shrimp tempura, calamari, beef negamaki, which were all fresh and delicious. The peach martini was made to perfection. All the rolls, sushi and sushimi pieces were mouth watering. read more

Fushimi is a legendary place in the Brooklyn/Staten Island area. You know you are getting good food with a nice ambiance. The parking is tough here which is annoying but all good. The Brooklyn location is much better with parking. The food is good though. The rock shrimp tempura was well done. The crispy rice was a nice starter and the sushi was fresh. I probably prefer the Brooklyn location but this one still did the trick. Friendly service as well. read more

Sushi is always delicious here, just a bit overprice. It's nicely decor, light music, good for family, group or a date. 1. Butter lobster roll taste just like the name and it had real lobster meat 2. Mummy roll, the tuna melted in your mouth, crispy shrimp tempura and the mango sauce gave it a sweet taste 3. American roll is a typical shrimp tempura roll - pretty basic and can't go wrong with this 4. King crab and shrimp roll, was refreshing, a mix of flavor and stuffed, the guacamole tasted fresh Returned on a Saturday night and the music was strictly freestyle, and it was fine by me! Definitely made my meal more enjoyable. Do dessert you must try the fried ice cream or lava cake. read more

Horrible food and horrible service. Waitress attempted to follow me out the door and demand a tip. Ma'am, if you feel you're not making enough here, find another job. Have some dignity. Tips are EARNED, not given. She didn't even offer us water, and they were blasting loud music that gave my guests a migraine. Save yourself the time and energy. 10/10 do not recommend. read more

I love Fuschimi in Brooklyn. Never had a problem there. We went to the one in Staten Island. Although the food was good, we almost were cheated on the bill. When I received the bill, I looked at it as I usually do, and to my surprise, I was charged $50.00 for 2 miso soups. I called the manager and all she did was give me this BS excuse that it was a mistake. First of all, they have a POS system that has all the items and prices already listed. All the waitress had to do, is press the buttons corresponding to what we ordered. This leads me to believe that they are scamming their customers. Think about this. If they over charge and the customer doesn't look at his/her bill, they get away with it. If the customer looks at the bill like I did and catch this, all they have to do is apologize with no consequences. Shame on them read more

Came in at 3:30 with my mother, was excited to have the lunch deal. Been a long time customer of fushimi both staten island and bay ridge. 30 minutes later both my mother and I started vomiting... I told the server that something wasnt right with the food. This NEVER happened to us. He came back saying we cannot refund you as the manager is not here. I was stunned with the response. The staff all looked informed as to what was happening, no one even offered water or came by until I asked !!! The chiefs were smiling/ laughing. The amount of disrespect was unbelievable. Never coming back again... I had to prove my vomit outside the restaurant for them to even call the manager!! read more

This place is amazing for teriyaki which is the only reason I'm giving it two stars. It used to be the best place on the island to get sushi. The prices were always ridiculous but since the sushi was fresh I felt that it was worth it. Now that it's become more popular I guess they don't care about quality anymore. I ordered a tuna avocado roll tonight and the tuna not only smells fishy but it tastes chewy and each piece is a different color...I'm assuming they gave me the fatty part of the fish. For two people I spent $75 ....4 rolls, 2 appetizers. This place is overrated and won't waste my money again. I've tried the location in Brooklyn and it was much better...if you want to try fushimi try that one. read more

Pleasant servers, clean, attentive, friendly, and innovative. During the pandemic, Fushimi has moved toward a completely thoughtful approach toward outside dining. Where do I start with my love for Fushimi. From their fabulous decor that's super trendy, to their warm welcoming staff; this place you can't pass up for sushi. I've been going here for a while and they never disappoint with food or flavor. The staff is absolutely out of this world and very attentive. Service is super fast too. They offer Groupons from time to time and it's definitely worth it, so if you haven't checked them out this is the perfect time. You can't go wrong for the price. Fushimi is a very good Japanese lounge. I really enjoyed their signature special rolls. Tried the Sex on the Beach & Paradise ones, and both of these were amazing. The fried banana in the paradise roll was a great combo. Very good drink selection too. Visited on a friday night, and they had live DJ performing, which was a bonus treat. read more

This place is cute and super trendy. The waiters are all very nice and super helpful. They have a nice outdoor seating area with plenty of shade and fans for the heat. Everyone is 6 ft and more apart and it was just a nice atmosphere. The food was good too. I ate the whole thing but that was because the portions are super small and a tad bit pricey but it was worth it. I completely forgot that we were in the middle of a pandemic which was nice to experience. The Martini I had was so strong. But it definitely made me feel nice. Food has severely declined, waitress staff was rude and STUCK THEIR BARE HAND in my plate saying I received extra food. Like you do not do that. Proper etiquette is to move on. Recently quality has changed. Really gone downhill. They must have sold the place. The service isn't good. The food has gotten worse. And they are very cheap. Nickel and dime you for anything extra you ask. A bottle of lychee sake is $35. I googled it and it's an $8-10 bottle! It's not even real lychee. Wtf?! It also wasn't cold. We asked them to chill it. They declined and gave us a cup of ice. Ok. The tuna tar tar was just ok. It used to be so good. It was so bland. And came w 2 stale garlic bread pieces. We asked for more. They wanted to know how many we wanted and then charged us $1 for 4 For stale bread. Like what?! The risotto used to be delicious. It was so bland. We asked for more cheese and the waitress looked at us like she had never heard the word cheese before. We literally had to explain it to her. Weird. The mummy roll had like zero lobster. We thought they forgot it. It's just shrimp tempura w like a tiny piece of tuna and some avocado. It wasn't much different than a shrimp tempura roll. Don't order special rolls. It's a waste. My sister asked for a few more pieces of broccoli and they wanted $6 for it. The drinks are bland. We tried lychee sake Bellini. Lychee martini And passion martini All weak and tasteless We returned a drink we didn't like and it was still on bill. Waitress said no but I didn't charge you for this other drink. They were not same price though. Shady. Check ur bill. Ask prices. Especially before asking for any modifications. read more

This is a great fun place. Decor is modern and upscale, music is upbeat, and food is delicious (and presented beautifully I must say). I do not go there for sushi, as it's not extraordinary to me. Their main entrees and club atmosphere, however, making me come back for more. They have amazing specials from time to time, so be adventurous and try them, definitely! From regular menu, risotto & lobster tail is a winner. Great place for hot date or night out with friends! (Keep in mind prices are on high side for the Island. ) Update: food here is impeccable. All 5 star, no doubt. They changed some dishes around for better. I am seriously impressed. read more
