I've been to many AYCE sushi spots so this place was just okay. The atmosphere was underwhelming and the sushi was good, nothing special.

Food; i loved their quickgrill sushi roll! It had shrimp tempura, spicy crab meat, avocado, and…read morespicy mayo sauce. (Would get again) We also got their California roll which was decent. The spicy Kani salad was alright, tasted more like cold slaw with a few pieces of avocado. It was $6 and I didn't know until I ordered it. I definitely would not get that again. I want to try their teriyaki chicken though! Service: the servers were nice and wait was about 5-7 minute pretty average. Price; the quickgrill was $8 and Cali roll was $4-5. I would go during happy hour 2:30-5:30 to get the regular rolls. Again my kani salad was a purchase I regret getting. Vibe; casual interior, you go up to order and then wait for it. I think it's a good sushi spot on the island, and definitely would come back for that chicken (saw others have it and smelled bomb!!!)

Prices here are not bad at all. I ordered the chicken bento meal up at the counter and it was out fairly fast and the counter guy was pretty friendly. The food? It was exactly what I expected for a $12 bento box. The chicken was very good, the dumplings were just ok, the California roll was good. I didn't expect a five star meal, but they gave me exactly what I wanted and it was a good serving size. There's no reason NOT to give them a try if you're in the area.

Though the staff weren't too attentive and didn't give us water when we were seated, I absolutely enjoyed most of their food. We got takoyaki and tteokbokki for appetizer. The takoyaki was okay- it was a bit cold on the inside. The tteokbokki was perfectly spiced and it comes with an egg. The rice cake is very soft! I got the soft tofu soup which tasted really homey! My boyfriend got the chicken cutlet with curry over rice- which tasted pretty average. The restaurant has a very warm and homey feel too! They do get busy towards the night! I will definitely be coming back to try their other food options!

Every dish is perfectly crafted with precision and delicious every time I visit here. It's my home away from the fatherland home which is South Korea. My mother agrees . You can't beat that. SERVICE: The enduring owners have built a legacy here that will be remembered for generations. They were recently highlighted as a BEST local hidden gem restaurant in the Staten Island Advance, the premier newspaper in Staten Island. Speaks volumes enough that they still do the heavy lifting and serving the dishes to the tables in their golden years. My heart fills with pride to be a Korean born in the USA and my eyes begin to well up as I think about the countless sacrifices they have made to make it here to be as successful and legendary as they are and will always be. That I'll never fully understand in many lifetimes over. AMBIANCE: This immaculately designed restaurant has just the perfect lighting and generous space for intimate dining and conversation. It feels like I'm dining at a five-star rated restaurant, but even better. I don't lie if I said I would give this oasis a seven-star rating. That's how good I feel about this place. P.S. I must reserve the KARAOKE ROOM next door for my next birthday party celebration. I just know it's going to be a rocking, weeping good time!
