Delicious, fresh, fast, with great customer service. Came on a Sunday evening with my husband and 2year old. They brought out the food fast (which with a two year old is important!). The sushi was fresh and huge pieces of fish. The price was right! We will def be back. read more

Had an excellent experience. Got chicken udon for the kids, and 4 different sushi rolls. Service was excellent and quick. We made some requests for dietary concerns and they adjusted for our needs without any questions. Udon was mild and the chicken was solid. We got the sweetheart, geisha, spicy tuna, crunchy spicy salmon, and a cucumber roll. Great mix. On the spicy side which we loved. Geisha had a balance of sweet and spicy. Sweetheart had a heart formation at the end which was adorable. Space is cozy but we felt we had enough space with a party of 5-6 comfortably. Highly recommend read more

I'm only giving them a four because the staff sometimes hurry to do things and the servers when they have a chance they take a nap at the end tables, but I understand if they have no room. It's a small restaurant with specials for lunch. I have had most of their food. Their sushi is so fresh. The guys are right in front of you as soon as you come in tantalizing you read more

BingBing and the other female waitress were both incredibly friendly, kind, and social! We came in very late but they accommodated us with no issues at all and even allowed us the option of ordering more food even as they were preparing to close up for the night, which we really appreciated! The rolls and mackerel sashimi were all very fresh and the food arrived quickly and was aesthetically pleasing. We will definitely come back next time to try their wide ranging selection of foods! One area of improvement is to add just a bit more of the lobster salad in the green tea roll, for the other ingredients easily overpowered the taste of the lobster. Asides from that, we definitely had a pleasurable experience! Thank you for reading and best of luck! (: read more

I have been to Sushi Wen twice now. It is a really cute place. My sushi both times were great. What I loved the most was the service. Staff was very friendly and engaging, not the norm for Sushi restaurants. read more

Beyond solid. We've ordered several times and its always good and fresh. We order a lot of the veggie sushi often and have had rhe avocado rolls, sweet potato rolls and cucumber hand roll. But the very best is the avocado peanut rolls, they are amazing - the freshness makes the flavors blend perfectly! Weve also had some of the salmon sush which is also good, the veggie gyoza was amazing (just tried that for the first time), it has whole edamame inside along with other vegetables. Weve also had their regular gyoza and chicken katsu. Its great to have a go to sushi place nearby likw this. Hopefully one day well have time to eat inside. read more

Awesome friendly olace with very good sushi. The staff are welcoming and great. I don't know what happened with the guy below and his service dog, but clearly there was some sort of misunderstanding that should be settled with a comped dinner instead of a frivolous lawsuit. Some people like to be angry I guess. read more

This is my go to sushi spot. When I tell you that I'm hooked on the salmon sashimi. I legit come here once a week because I can't get enough. The prices are very affordable. I tried the habachi lobster and it was so filling. The staff are so friendly. read more

This is a great sushi restaurant and I don't give that away easy. I'm a sushi brat so when I say a place is good. It's amazing. We had take out. It used to be better but in the last year two years since 2022-2224 it has declined as they have more business but are less organized. Often out take out or delivery orders are missing items or contain the some of the wrong items ordered. Tonight I ordered the hibachi steak and it was very over cooked and a few years ago it was a perfect medium rare. They need to hear out complaints because this place was a gem and now it's a diamond back in the rough. read more

I can't believe this is my first review since I started quarantining lol I've been craving sushi for months since I've been working from home and couldn't go to the city. I hadn't tried the food here before so I figured I'd give it a try because the other sushi restaurants in my neighborhood weren't very good and I was pleasantly surprised. I got the any 7 rolls party tray for $35; I chose the Salmon Cucumber Classic Roll, Salmon Cucumber Hand Roll, Spicy Salmon Classic Roll, Spicy Salmon Hand Roll, Spicy Crunchy Tuna Classic Roll, Shrimp Tempura Classic Roll, and Chicken Tempura Classic Roll. The fish was really fresh tasting and they were really generous with the cuts of fish, most places just give you a lot of rice. It may not look like much, but it was quite filling for 2 people. read more

Nice place, friendly staff, fresh sushi I went there when it was not very busy so can't really say much about ambiance

I was on the hunt for good sushi and found this little hole in the wall spot. Its abit of a drive from my house but i made the trip anyway on a rainy day! We wanted to order a few things that were on the menu but they didnt have on that day : ( the waitress explained that its been random gettin certain things after the pandemic. However, we were still able to create an order with a good amt of sushi for me to take home to the family. My son immediately enjoyed his sushi and told me this place was better than our local sushi spot. Now I'm in trouble cos im not trying to drive 20mins+ to get sushi whenever he has cravings!!! Lol but i must say the sushi is very fresh, and one thing that amazed me was, i ate the leftover sushi after takin it out from the fridge the next day and the rice wasnt even hard! It tasted perfect, like literally the chef jus made it!!! So happy to have found this spot! Definitely will visit more often (when im not lazy or for special occasions!) read more

Very cute restaurant, easy to miss when driving by. Love the atmosphere inside. The staff is so sweet, and really great service. Now to the sushi. The sushi is delicious! Fish is fresh and the variety of special rolls is great. The rolls are on the smaller side which I like, since it's not too much rice. Definitely worth a visit! read more

Always great food here. Just had their sushi pizza and that was great too! Delivery is always fast and food is always fresh.

I'd been looking for a reliable sushi spot after being disappointed by other places on the island. Sushi Wen delivered 100%! The restaurant was quiet at 6 pm on Saturday, but I could tell they were filling lots of to-go orders. Once seated, service was super quick and friendly. Our server answered our questions, gave us our drinks (they have tea and soda, BYOB if you want alcohol), and took our order within 5 minutes. Our appetizer and sushi came out quickly as well! Everything was super fresh, carefully plated, and tasty. Perfect melt-in-your-mouth cuts of fish and tender sushi rice. The snapper carpaccio appetizer was my favorite, but the sushi dinner and specialty roll were great too. I could tell all our rolls and nigiri were made to order, and handled with care. This place respects the fish and the chefs know their craft. We were in and out within 40 minutes, the meal was affordable given the Hugh quality, and fish portions were generous! read more

This is the best sushi on the island. Fantastic staff, gorgeous setting and fish so fresh I feel like it was murdered just for me. Definitely a must if you're in the mood for something fantastic to eat. Also, and I feel like I must mention this for all the foodies and bloggers on here, everything is plated so beautifully that you can't help to snap some pics so you can brag to all your Instagram followers about all the delicious food you're eating. Price point is avarage for the area and the servings are larger than avarage. All in all, delicious, fantastic, beautiful and affordable. read more

I feel like it's weird to compliment the service when I got take out. The woman who took my order is always there when I go. She's always fast and very sweet. If it's hot she offers cold water. She's given me hot tea on a cold day. It was so nice outside I waited in front for my food. The front garden is so pretty. A lovely, calm spot, to wait for the best sushi around. read more

We enjoyed the takoyaki (octopus dough ball) appetizer immensely! Like real street food--very comforting on a cold night! Also liked the yellowtail jalapeño. Out of Control roll was a hit. I rarely like "Chef Special" rolls enough to remember the name or get them a second time. That miso/eel sauce combo is fantastic! My son enjoyed his tamago roll; it's easy to mess up egg but they did a very good job. We had the sake special, very smooth. All in all a great place with GREAT prices. read more

Went here a few weeks ago with a friend and it was the best sushi I've had on Staten Island. Hands down. I was super hungry so I got the sushi dinner plus an additional yellowtail jalapeño roll and two pieces of eel sushi. Everything was extremely fresh and delicious. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. The only thing I didn't absolutely love was the tempura ice cream because the tempura batter was a bit doughy for my taste. I prefer a lighter and crunchier batter. I'm looking forward to going back and trying some of the other dishes. read more
