I played safe & got her a coconut bubble tea lol, nothing fancy ! Thank God she liked it. So if she likes it then I can confirm that it was good . And I got coffee flavored one . One of the better places on the island to get decent teriyaki chicken over rice. Their sushi is just okay, I would recommend their rice orders instead. I ordered through yelp for chicken teriyaki lunch takeout and my order was ready within 10 minutes. Due to covid, there is a small window opening to pay and receive your order. A great Japanese spot tucked away in northwest of Staten Island. I called in for a pick up and by the time I arrived, it was ready in a timely fashion. Due to COVID, the set up of the store included a plexiglass barrier at the door and a walkie talkie to reduce contact and ensure safety. The food was great and definitely will come back. Main: Chicken bento box: the bento box was filled with ample amount of teriyaki chicken over the rice. The California roll was generous with the ratio of crab meat to avocado. The tempura had an airy crunch to every bit. Also, the shrimp tempura was huge! The salad was paired well with the ginger salad dressing. Beef bento box: similar to the chicken bento the beef was generously over the rice and other components such as the California roll, tempura and salad were the same as the chicken bento. Drinks: Strawberry bubble tea: this is a different flavor that I get from usual. The drink had a sweet and milky flavor. The tapioca bubbles were really good it chewy and syrupy. Overall, this would definitely be my go to place for Japanese. Highly recommend this to anyone. read more

This small, little restaurant is only a few minutes walk from where I work. I figured I should check it out and if it's good, I'll come back during my lunch break. Prices are pretty reasonable, especially the sushi. However, you do get what you pay for. I ordered 3 rolls for $10.95. Normally, this is the price for most restaurants for lunch specials. But, at Yummy Machi, you get this great deal all day every day! Spicy Yellowtail: too much crunchy stuff; I couldn't even taste the yellowtail Salmon avocado & white tuna avocado: OK; the avocado was bigger than the fish The wasabi, for some reason, tasted a bit odd. It also wasn't bright green. It might have been getting old... Overall, this place is OK. The workers were friendly. I will return and try out other dishes. Was looking for a place for Japanese food and saw this on yelp. When we arrived I realized this place mainly does takeout. They did have a couple of tables to sit but the restaurant itself was so hot and humid that we decided to do take out. We ordered a variety of stuff sushi, appetizers, and teriyaki chicken. The rolls were mediocre. Nothing special. The appetizers were mostly salty. We order the soy garlic chicken wings and the teriyaki flavor both were way too salty! So I ordered dinner to go and it's the second time I have done this so I figured it was time to review. Service is very fast and I have to say the prices are very reasonable. I ordered the chicken breast terriyaki with fried rice, it was very good. I do have to say that the fried rice was definitely white rice mixed with some type of teriyaki as opposed to your traditional soy sauce. It didn't taste like your normal pork fried rice but still pretty good The last time I went I ordered a California roll and that was also pretty good. I feel a little weird about ordering sushi there because it's not your traditional sushi spot so I get nervous when it comes to fish (even though all California rolls consist of that fake crab meat) The sushi counter isn't very big and I'm not sure how long the stuff has been sitting. Not to say it's not fresh I just get weirded out when it comes to fish and I don't really know the turn over. Needless to say I'm still alive lol. I also have had the mango bubble tea which was delicious. This was my first time having bubble tea so I have no idea what those gummies are in the drink but I enjoyed it. Price is okay, no lunch specials, can be expensive, I did feel it was unnecessary to charge the extra $1.50 for the 3 pcs roll, what if I don't want any? I ordered takeout here with my boyfriend the other day and gotta tell ya, it was awesome! We were greeted by a smiling server who was patient with our being indecisive. My boyfriend got the teriyaki shrimp and I got a PHILADELPHIA roll, shrimp tempura and crab Rangoon. To my surprise the take out boxes had holes cut in the top when we got home. I assume it was to let off steam so things wouldn't get soggy. How thoughtful! Ordered take-out from this spot for the first time. Food was great and delivery didn't take long to arrive. I ordered the chicken teriyaki (extra chicken) with steamed rice, avocado & tuna roll, along with a mango bubble tea (SO GOOD!). We also had two orders of wings that were delicious, not dry at all, and meaty. Two of my friends brought my boyfriend and I here after getting Dominican food to get bubble tea. Honest to say, I've never been a fan of powdered bubble tea but I really enjoyed it. I got the green apple fruit tea, my friends got the Thai tea and the mango. Their tapioca were small but really soft. I was surprised but I enjoyed the drink! The prices were pretty reasonable. There are absolutely no words to express how amazing the food and the customer service I received here recently. My fiancé and I were coming home from Manhattan and she was in the mood for sushi. Now sushi, depending of where you get it, can be rather expensive. But I looked this place up on Yelp and saw the menu and was in shocked of how low the price was. As we waited for our order, I noticed how the owner of the restaurant (Irene) was extremely friendly and very warm. The only charge 1.50 for extra chicken. I've tried their sushi rolls, not bad too. Not the best I've had, but good enough for a sushi fix. Sushi special 3 rolls 11 dollars.
