It's hard to write negative reviews and I am unsure of how else to push for accountability for…read morehealthcare "providers" such as Rayus. A team member for Rayus called me to schedule an MRI after a local Dr sent an order in. When I asked what the cost would be she said about $1,200 with or without insurance. When I asked what went into the cost, such as materials, staffing, etc, the staff member seemed to laugh and then literally said, "It is just highway robbery." I remember that part verbatim. And then to summarize the rest, she continued on about how there was no reason really at all. In some ways I appreciate her honesty. I am less upset she told me the truth than I am with Rayus as a company for their predatory and extremely unethical practices with pricing, Rayus should not be trusted to administer medical services.

Do not go to Rayus Radiology. It represents the worse in today's business of medicine. The worst…read moreexperience. They charge you upfront for the procedure but you won't have access to the results. It's been a week... . . Not call a text or an email - just nada. But the practice has been spamming me on text with surveys asking how they did. But on a call with Rayus was told Rayus does not text or email results. Instead told to call my doctor. The doctor's portal just says pending for results. My doctor's office is swamped and doesn't answer phone calls. Rayus will only send results to your doctor even though you the patient pays the bill. That doesn't seem right. So the system is gatekeeping your medical results but requiring your payment immediately. This is a very bad medical model . The staff is very unhelpful. On a call / giving feedback about this situation to Rayus and it lands like a lead balloon. They refused to text or email after CT as is standard medical practice to ask the patient to click on a link to a portal to access results. They have my phone number and have been sending texts about filling in surveys for feedback, when I still don't have my results! That same feedback shared on the phone with Rayus had the person irritated and stating she is human and not automated like the survey text sent. Did she care about my feedback on the phone? That's a strong No. I asked for my results- was told no. I asked can you text or email results? No. Was told to go to a portal and she starts reading a long number that I'm supposed to memorize. I say again - can you email me a link to the portal with this looooong number? Answer is No. I'm told to get a pen and paper. I say I don't have access to pen and paper rn. I'm told to call back with pen and paper. But I continue to get texts for survey feedback....That are automated. But I need a pen and paper. That tells you all you need to know about places like Rayus. They want your money but offer no service. And they certainly don't care about the patient. It's a Middle man model. Patient loses big time despite paying for these services out of pocket. I know insurance is tough to deal with, but it's still better to go to a place that accepts insurance rather than a middle man for profit "medical" services office in a technology park by the mall. Still waiting for results.... And no they don't really care about our feedback
