Farmland is a great market. There are two rooms of isles with fresh and freezer cases filled with a large variety to items. They have a bit of everything a grocery store has and easier to find since it wasn't overfilled! I have to give 5 stars for the staff -though, I didn't catch the young mans name working there today (Sunday). He was extremely helpful! I definitely recommend and will be back to the Farmland Market. While they may not have every item or brand you want, you should be able to find something that will work!

I planned to just buy something so I could use the restroom and warm up, but I ended up browsing their wonderful selection of local and bulk foods. (I even discovered a Cottage-Grove based coffee roaster, Laurel Mountain, which I have never heard of before!) A classic, funky, nice little natural foods store. Nice guy behind the counter, lots of customers chatting with him. Ended up leaving with a pack of cookies, some coffee and hot sauce for gifts, and some bulk rolled oats. I definitely recommend this place.

Beer section had a lot of empty spots. This was a Tuesday (June 29) so that was not expected. I was surprise at how many people did not wear masks even though it was the day prior to the governors order. Yes, this means employees were not wearing them. I think the main problem is that I could not find employees in the grocery area. It would be nice to have someone nearby when you have a question rather than having to walk all the way to the register when you are way back in the paper section. Hopefully things improve before my next visit next year.

We needed some snacks to stock our beach house rental and this was a one stop shopping store. Their prices are a little high compared to the chain grocery stores, but that's not surprising. We totally understand that a small town will have a small Safeway if they're fortunate enough to…read morehave one at all. We also understand that the selection will be limited because all vendors may not service the more rural areas. What we don't understand is that when you have a deli department that scoops potions of premade salads to be sold by weight, that the staff doesn't periodically stir up the salads. Refrigeration causes dehydration. That how things get cooled. This dehydration dries out the exterior of the food items and stirring keeps everything hydrated and appealing. We were going to try to pick up some grab and go items and salads but once we saw what was on offer, we left. If the staff doesn't care, why should we?
