I visited Yona Redz for the first time this last weekend! the staff were friendly in navigating the menu, as they share their new location with another restaurant. We loved everything we tried! From the Birria plate, the asada quesadilla and the street tacos.. we liked it all! The consume and salsas provided added to everything we ordered. We had a great casual dining experience and will be returning again soon!

The food is good that's why we were excited to meet the new spot at Victoria St but we were waiting for 50 minutes to eat. When the server a women with bad mood bring the food this was cold. It was a poor service to sad to see how you open a big place but with horrible service

Came here on a Saturday afternoon after hearing my friend rave about this place and I was not disappointed! I ordered the Yona Deluxe because I wanted some variety and all the items were great. I definitely got my birria fix after consuming three birria items. My favorite was probably the mulita! There is plenty of consome that comes piping hot with the food and the salsa bar had a good selection of salsas that paired well with my meal. I also ordered a jamaica to drink and it was yummy! There is limited indoor seating but it's lively inside and the staff are friendly and attentive. Would totally come again and recommend to anyone looking to try birria or craving birria!

My friends and I stumbled upon this restaurant while walking around state street. We got drawn in by their birria sign and we are so glad that we came in to give this place a try! You first order at the counter. The lady at the counter was really nice and gave us some complimentary chips with our order. There was a nice selection of sauces/ salsas on the side for people to take. We ordered the birria taco set and some other tacos. We really enjoyed the birria. It was super flavorful and meat was tender. The consome was delicious. It was definitely missing the cheese so we ended up ordering some quesabirria tacos. I'm glad we got it because the cheese made it even more delicious! I would definitely come back specifically for the birria. Im definitely getting the birria ramen next time!

1 lb red snapper for $45 plus tips and tax =$55, not even enough for 1 person. Took forever long to make. It used to be 2-3 lb for the same price when my husband joined. An international ripoff for a small Asian woman with a young kid in sight. They said it's market price for the fish they had today. Then a 2 lb red snapper was made up after my strong dissatisfaction. Apparently Asians are also treated differently in a Mexican restaurant.

I had been hearing about this place since COVID and never tried. Even followed them on social media. So when I had the opportunity to be in Santa Barbara, I had to stop here. It was a Saturday at 1030 pm with a mixed crowd. Some families and some people who had clearly come to have their post bar drinking grub. Since they're known for their birria, I just had to try the quesotaco and then the vampiro intrigued me so I ordered asada. It definitely hit the spot. Very flavorful! All the salsas were fresh. And they offered radishes too which I love! The hot salsa is very hot so use caution. My friend loved the fresh horchata and I thought it was a great touch they served them in cantaritos. Made it feel more authentic! Also met the owner Jonathan (Yona himself). He was super friendly and gave us some stickers and a business card. If ever in SB, check out this spot!

Was walking down State St. looking for a late lunch when I spotted their sign claiming best Birria Taco and had to try it for myself. Since it was a Saturday, they were offering the Yona Special made with Goat which is the traditional meat to have in Birria Tacos. We both got 2 goat and 1 beef for our Yona Special and oddly one came out almost 10 minutes earlier than the other. The staff were very attentive and kept checking on the second order for us and kept us updated. They did apologize for the delay which we did appreciate. The Birria tacos themselves were pretty good. At first, I was a little nervous with how much cheese there seemed to be but after biting into it I saw there was a decent amount of meat too. Taste was great and I honestly couldn't really tell which was goat or beef. I think what would have made this 5 stars was if the tortillas weren't so greasy, since they were falling apart as we were eating them. I think a harder sear of the tacos would have helped it stay together and gave it a nice crunch.

I came here to have a nosh before a concert. I ordered the "famous" birria quesadilla taco. It was cold. Smallest portion of rice was $5. Cold. I notice two other couples are offered chips and salsa. They were white. I'm not. I ask the employee Mike why didn't I get any. He said I'd order enough. My total plus tip was $19.84. I ask him what's the price point? He scoffed. I asked him if it was because I'm not white. He told me to leave. Don't go here unless you're white because the self hating Mexican ( I don't remember his name but he wore snug overalls and had facial piercings) won't offer you free chips and salsa.

The food here is amazing! You can tell the quality is top tier. Wife ordered the carne asada tacos while I ordered the birria tacos. We also ordered a ceviche tostada. I am definitely coming back when the wife and I are in the area. The service is great too. Very friendly and attentive. Ambiance is great too! The interior is has a lot of seating. The quality in meat and shrimp is there. I highly recommend this place

My husband's plate empty and I still have a quesa birria left.

First time my Husband and I have eaten here. We wanted some birria queso tacos. Before we headed home we decided to stop and eat here. Delicious food, great service and great ambiance. Their tacos are really good and consume also! We are definitely coming back.

Food was bomb. Took over an hour to get our food. It was pretty busy. I don't think i'd go back. It was hard to get to as far as parking.

I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about the entire experience. We were looking for a laid-back and unique venue, and Brass Bear absolutely delivered. From start to finish, the team (especially Emily!) went above and beyond to make our day perfect. The space itself is welcoming and full of character, while also feeling elevated and thoughtfully designed. We actually saved a lot on decor because the venue was already so beautiful on its own. The top things that really set Brass Bear apart (aside from the space itself) were the staff and the food/drinks. The staff -- Every single person we worked with was kind, responsive, professional, and genuinely invested in making sure everything ran smoothly and that it was truly the party of our dreams. They were incredibly accommodating, handled logistics seamlessly, and anticipated needs before we even had to ask. It honestly felt like they cared about our wedding just as much as we did. Also throughout the evening, on their own, the amazing staff checked in on me and the groom, seeing if we wanted a drink refill or a cup of water. The food-- Hands down the best menu we sampled while choosing a reception venue. We wanted a place that would have a spread guests would talk about long after the event, and for months afterward our friends and family were still bringing up the tri-tip and how good everything tasted. Not only was the main food insanely delicious, the welcome charcuterie table was put together beautifully with so many options. The drinks -- The open bar was fantastic! Brass Bear offered a great variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks as part of their open bar, the flow of guests being served at multiple bar stations stayed steady all evening with no bottlenecks, and they even helped me create a custom cocktail to match my purple hair. I also probably emailed (literally) a thousand questions throughout the planning process, and every single one was met with a kind, thoroughly explained answer, or a "let's see if we can make that work!" response, which made the planning feel like a breeze and really fun. If you're considering Brass Bear Brewery for a wedding, celebration, or any special event, do not hesitate. They helped create memories we'll treasure forever, and we are SO grateful we chose them. Highly, highly, highly recommend.

Captain Fatty's is a microbrewery from Goleta that I had never heard of before, and anybody who's read my Yelps knows I'm a Craft Beer nut. The Beer Garden is located in the open space near the elevators, just down from Eureka (who also has a couple of their beers on tap) and near a store called "Smoky Pink". To be honest, this space has served many purposes in the past; including hosting the Folklorico presentations during Santa Barbara's Fiesta event. The Beer Garden consists of a small Airstream that serves as a mini-taproom, and about 6-8 tables set up with the rest of the area roped off to designate the allowed drinking area. The family and I were in Santa Barbara this past weekend (10/28) when we came across this spot, and we were pleasantly surprised since we found ourselves a bit parched. They offer about 6 or so beers on tap. My brother and I had their "Blue" a west-coast IPA that was delicious and refreshing. The bartender at the time, Yvonne, was a wealth of information about Captain Fatty's and their offerings. Apparently, the brewery is well-known in the area and is celebrating its 10th year! Who knew?!?! Well I guess I would if I was a local... hahaha.. I can only wish! Our experience there was very pleasant. The beers were delicious, the employee was friendly and the location was perfect. Yvonne said they had just signed a lease to be there for another year; so we hope to see them again on our travels to the American Riviera!
