Lobster Benedict
Ashley C.

Came on a Friday morning so it was a bit of a wait, but not too long. We were seated in the front of the patio area. Was able to place our order very quickly and staff was very friendly. Ordered the lobster Benedict. Took a star off because there were some egg shells in my first couple bites, but other than that the food tasted yummy. My favorite was the tater tots - fried perfectly. Would love to try other things on their menu if I'm back in the area.

This was everything you might want in a breakfast (in my opinion). Love the name- think instead of taquería (taco restaurant), yolquería (yolk restaurant). Half of our party got omelets and the other half got the French toast. Mine was a California style omelet- with tomato spinach cheese etc. and a side of kale salad (yum) and potatoes (also yum). The other half of our party enjoyed the French toast- which was decadently soaked in cream instead of milk during preparation, and which came with a side of whipped cream. The coffee was strong. Everything came fast. I'd say it was the perfect way to start the beach day.

Chicken and French Toast with an iced coffee! This was served with potato wedges and a spicy kale salad.

My partner and I were craving some chicken and waffles on our vacation and after a quick search - ended up deciding on Yolqueria! We loved our meal, as well as the service! We were seated by a very kind waitress and our food came super quickly after! We were seated in the front entry/deck area which was a nice view of the street, as well as a great view of a sunny day. Rather than the waffles I spoke of, I went with the chicken and french toast, which was incredible! I can't wait to return the next time I'm in PTown!

All the 5 star reviews and accolades are legit! This is probably the best brunch place in the Cape. They hit it right out of the park on each of our dishes and we also appreciated the fact that they allowed our Beagle mix to sit with us in their outdoor seating area. Dishes we tried: *Lobster Benedict - This was a special that day and when I heard it was being offered, there was just no going back. The lobster was perfectly prepared, eggs were nice and gooey and the tater tots and kale salad that were served as sides were so delicious. *Chicken and Waffles - My daughter had this dish and said it was the best chicken she'd had and believe me, she's tried her share of chicken and waffles in almost every brunch place in Boston. She inhaled everything on her plate within minutes and was the first to finish her meal. *Mexican folded eggs - Hubby ordered this dish and he was all smiles as his dish was stuffed so generously with yummy carnitas and caramelized onions which brought this dish to another level. Service was phenomenal and ambience was relaxed and casual. Don't go anywhere, Yolqueria, we shall be back!

BEST BRUNCH IN PTOWN! Hands down. Though they don't take reservations, we sat pretty quickly. Things that would make this place perfect: It feels like you batch cook, which is fine;but for the fact that my food came out lukewarm. Please heat the carnitas. The carnitas were SO flavorful and filling. Highly recommend!

I come here usually for breakfast on my way back to NYC and I've never been impressed by the amount of dairy and gluten-free options available. There have always only been a few options that are really delicious. Their protein bowl is vegan, and they can do modified eggs. However, I don't recommend going here for lunch if you are gluten and dairy-free. They have tacos on the menu which usually come with corn tortillas. However, none of their tacos are gluten-free, and they have literally nothing available on their lunch menu that accommodates those allergies. If you do have these allergies, this place is an ok spot for a meal but you might want to go elsewhere.

We stayed at the owners hotel and were lucky enough to get to enjoy complimentary brunch here each day! Everything we tried was so so tasty. My personal favorite was the chilaquiles, the tater tots, & the lattes. My husband also tried and enjoyed the carnitas cowboy and the chicken & waffle. We traveled in August so were able to sit on the cute little patio.

Special of the day - lobster benedict!

The food was good, the staff were friendly. It was very pricey, but with Provincetown what can you expect.

We can back up their opinion as a place well worth patronizing. There is a bustling and lively atmosphere in an informal and very pleasant space. The room was packed with different types of people enjoying their meals. Three of us had cocktails- the fourth does not drink. The order included a cucumber lemonade, two Honey Bear Toddys, (just right for the cold weather), and a nonalcoholic beer. We also had glasses of house red (a Malbec) and a Sauvion Blanc. We shared two appetizers: mussels and cheesy garlic bread, both of which were excellent. The main courses were a Cod Florentine (nicely cooked but a little bland for me but enjoyed by our daughter), a good Sausage Orecchiette for-me which I could only eat half of it, an excellent grilled salmon and an equally good shepherd's pie. I also ordered a side of fries which was overkill. And no one had any room for dessert. Our server was attentive and efficient. The check came to $232 not including the service charge. It is over the four stars that I gave and just under a five star rating. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who lives or visits the area.

Cafe H. has a clouds and sky ceiling mural which added a nice nod to their name. Our server was friendly. Unfortunately, the food fell flat. My husband's French toast was thin and tasted mostly eggy and my Benedict had tiny lobster pieces (and no hollandaise, by choice). Even my grapefruit-jalapeño morning margarita couldn't save the morning. While the manager(?), owner(?) isn't pushing you out, she does circle around to see how far folks are in their meals. It was clear: this is the kind of place in a tourist-heavy strip churning out dishes quickly so you can eat, clear out and make room for the next round of customers.

It might even be our new favorite. My family ordered the deviled eggs, which I got to try and I ordered a cheeseburger with french fries. I had never heard of a restaurant using shredded cheese on a burger so that was a unique experience. It was still good though. I asked for my burger cooked rare and they did just that. The meat was seasoned pretty well and the french fries hit the spot. I ordered two diet cokes that went down FAST and really washed everything down. I was happy with the service and I love that it's an LGBTQ+ owned business. The history of the restaurant is really sweet and I've heard that the owners of the restaurant will even come out to say hi to you if you ask to meet them. Overall it was a great dining experience and I would love to try more items on the menu in the future.

We were hesitant to get something from Canteen because they had been slammed all day with a crowd from their outdoor holiday market (also highly recommended), but took a chance. Two orders of fish and chips. Staff (probably exhausted from the busy day) were so kind and friendly. The order came out fast. Really good quality. Big portions (see photo) incl French fries, coleslaw, tartar sauce. We're glad our initial idea didn't work out and we had a great takeout dinner from Canteen! Thanks so much!

Originally from Ponte de Lima in the north of Portugal, Silva immigrated to the United States in late 1972. She would eventually settle in Provincetown, which at one time had a large Portuguese immigrant population. It was difficult at first to learn a new language and customs, but eventually she found her niche working as a baker and teaching English to Portuguese immigrant children. In the late 1990s, an ice cream parlor by the beach went up for sale. Silva decided to purchase it and make it her own business. Today the café is open for breakfast and lunch and serves an array of fresh baked goods, sandwiches, wraps, salads, smoothies, coffees, and shakes. Staying true to the roots of the business, Silva also continues to proudly serve Gifford's Ice Cream at the café. My family and I visited Café Maria on our recent week-long trip to the Cape. We spent the third day of our trip entirely in Provincetown. Before embarking on an early morning Whale Watch cruise, we decided to see if there were any good places nearby to grab a quick breakfast. Café Maria had great recommendations on Yelp so we decided to stop there. For coffee, my sister-in-law had an Iced Caramel Latte while I had a Hot Mocha. Both drinks were very flavorful and quickly woke us up for a day of fun activities. For food, we all decided to get some breakfast sandwiches. We opted to get them served on Portuguese Muffins, which are similar to English Muffins but much sweeter and fluffier. My wife had "Eggs, Cheese & Sausage", our son had "Eggs, Cheese & Bacon", sister-in-law had "Eggs & Cheese", and I had "Eggs, Cheese & Linguiça". These were excellent breakfast sandwiches and we were all happy with our choices! If you're looking for a cheap and quick breakfast or lunch in Provincetown then look no further than Café Maria!
