She assured me that John can look and if needs to be fixed he will do that right there and then. 11/21/25, John came to my house, checking and claiming that my kitchen Faucet has to be replaced, when the leak was from the pull up/down section of the faucet (passed snap on connect). This by itself is fraud and deception. John also said he would run it with my warrantee company and let me know my portion of the cost. However, he added that Choice would possibly pay for builder's grade faucet and install at no cost to me. Then they abandoned the service call for the next few days. 11/25, I called and Jenna(e)? gave me three different to cost me. I asked for the estimate/ proposed billed be emailed to me. She said, "we do not do that." I asked, I need a detailed estimate before work. She refused. I asked to speak with Pamela, she also refused. But I agreed to buy my own faucet for John to replace and set up appt. for 11/28/25 - 9:00AM to 1:00. 11/26 she called me to say that they would not do it, it would cost me $2005. Then said $325.00, then said Choice would pay for $190 and I have to pay $205. I again asked for estimate, bill.. be emailed. she refused; speaking with Pamela was refused, return my initial service visit fee, she refused.... Then she hung up. She called Choice to say that I was rude and uncooperative. Sadly for Jenna, Pamela and the entire company, MY CALLS Get recorded. Don't trust the good reviews…read more 2 year old Carrier Heat Pump not cooling on a Townhome bought new 2 years ago. No idea who installing company was. Property manager jumped the gun and called out another company that was not Carrier authorized who diagnosed it as a freon leak from a bad factory solder joint. $770 to repair from non Carrier authorized company. Called Carrier for warranty coverage and they recommended Holley as they are an authorized Carrier dealer/repairer and could diagnose the problem, then contact their Carrier representative for a solution. Holley confirmed the diagnosis of factory defect with bad solder joint causing all freon to leak out. I was told by Holley service tech, they cannot guarantee the repair or assure me that one of the other solder joints will not leak eventually causing the same issue. I also was told by Holley several times that they would not deal with Carrier for a solution as they "did not install the unit" (when it is not an installation issue. It is a manufacturer defect). Estimate to repair from Holley $1660. Somewhere along the line, Holley did speak with their distributor Mingeldorf (sp?) who offered a $500 credit towards labor to repair the unit, but it had to be used within 15 days. I then got to tinking about the difference in repair estimates. I asked for a itemized breakdown from Holley for the repair and was given this: $470 for 5lbs of R401A $1190 for 3 hours of labor, Misc, Materials (acetylene, copper fitting, solder material) Now lets assume the Misc and materials is $100. That equals $1090 for 3 hours of labor or $363/hr. I have asked for their hourly labor rate 4 times and they will not give it to me. The owner is rude and basically said I need to go somewhere else to have it fixed. He stated that I don't want to pay for anything (which is untrue). It is clear to me that they are deceitful in their business practices as I can assure you that $363/hr is not the going rate per hour for HVAC service. I don't want the repair for free, but I also don't want to be lied to and taken advantage of which is what this company is doing.

So having a warranty I called the people I had payed close to 8500 dollars for the system just over a year ago they came out to check it out . And told me they had to order a controller panel for the camper and a cycle switch for the evaporator or inside the house . To make a sad long shity sorry shorter . Now under warranty they told me they had to order the parts and it would be 4 days . But I had to pay for the service call today . In the amount of $240 . Then told me it would be $ 2800 to 3000 to fix it under warranty. I said a few very nice words and asked why . He told me the parts were under warranty only. Now I had watch this man and test my unit an myself have been hvac certified for years . So I call Georgia Carolina and asked them to come take a look at it. From the very first moment you knew you were in good hands. He didn't hook up gauges . He started by testing the electrical voltage of the system and with in 3 mins found 2 lose wire nuts on this new unit that B@E had over chagered me to install and flooled my carports because it leaked out the freon and had frozen up. But getting Back to the true Experts Georgia Carolina they found 2 lose wire nuts and a bad Schrader valve . Now mind you the same valve Back woods B@E had just been playing with . But the Tech From Georgia Carolina heard it leaking when he was fixing the lose wire nuts . So Georgia Carolina found no parts bad except that valve leaking and he check the speed on the fan for the unit and it had never be changed from its factory prest. For a smaller unit .Now I'm no English major as you can well see. But I have been a Sr chief Marine engineer for many years where I would on everything for hvac. Computer radios diesel engine gear boxs any and everything that could or would go bad . I know good work and workmanship when I see it and also bullsh.t lies. B@E fall in the bullshit lies category. Georgia Carolina fall in the topshelf expert category with great workmenship. When a hvac man puts his gauges on your unit first thing you know your screwed. Voltage is always the first system to check . They even give you a complete read out of what your unit is doing . That in itself cuts out the bull. Recently the thermostat started turning off automatically, most likely due to low batteries. Due to the way that they installed it, I was unable to get the battery compartment open and was forced to call them to come out and service it. It cost $99 dollars for them to come out, which is annoying but typical, and I was assured on the phone that should be my only expense since all of my equipment is still under warranty. The technician came by this morning, and after examining the equipment he said he thought it was a low battery issue. He then told me that he could see that when they installed the thermostat, they also installed a power line that would eliminate the need to deal with batteries at all, they just never hooked it up (and remember, this is all Doc Savage purchased and installed equipment - the "they" is Doc Savage). NOBODY even told me that was an option when they installed it, or asked me what I would prefer. The technician finished his work and told me it would be $99 for the visit, which I knew, and then $74 for actually fixing the issue. I told him that his office told me over the phone yesterday that all my equipment is still under warranty, to which he replied that he would need to call in and check. He went outside and placed his call, and returned with the line that I opened this review with: "It is under warranty, but my manager still insisted I charge you something." WHAT. THE. F***. He said in an attempt to "meet me halfway", they would bring the extra charge down from $74 to $9. I don't like to take out my frustrations with a company on their rank and file, so I just bit the bullet and paid the extra $9 (for a total of $108), and I hope Doc Savage enjoys it, because it is the last money they will EVER see from me. This entire experience should and could have been avoided in the first place if they had installed the unit properly, and/or asked my preference as to whether I wanted battery or hardwired power, and then to essentially steal from me by admitting that they shouldn't be charging me at all, but the manager insisted??! Yeah I'm done with this company, and I strongly advise anyone reading this to avoid them as well. The technicians are nice, personable people, but there's something deeply wrong with the management.
