Being a business owner, I made a call to my friend that works for Carrier in Syracuse, New York. He told me they had a bad update to give it a week or two and it will be fixed. Sure enough the update came through and it fixed the problem. Not sure how a Carrier dealer would not know that and try to charge me for this. I recommend steering clear if you need a professional to repair your system.

The onsite manager, Lewis, was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable. His crew included Titus and Joseph were fantastic as well. They also installed a large 2 unit HVAC in our previous home in 2014. We were extremely pleased as well. They are extremely thorough - insuring the duct work is adequate for the home, units are installed correctly and take the time to make sure the homeowner is informed as the project goes along. Mr. Blackwell was out each day to monitor progress and at the completion of the installation to make sure everything was in order. We also have used Creighton Laircey to service our HAVAC systems since 2014.

They would do anything so they wont have to pay for any major repairs or replace them. Both of my neighbors use Riverside Heating and Air Conditioning so I decided to call them. I purchased a new HVAC system and had it installed 72 hours later by Joe, John and Gavin. They were all professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and very thorough with their work. Very professional, very courteous and never a push to upsell while still rightly recommending a service agreement to help save money in the future. You really can't go wrong with these guys and their training is obviously second to none. I'd recommend Doc Savage for any HVAC work, large or small. Don't take chances with your hard earned dollars! "It is under warranty, but my manager still insisted I charge you something." - Doc Savage…read moreTechnician Had Doc Savage replace my AC unit a short while ago, which included replacing my thermostat with a Doc Savage-branded unit. Recently the thermostat started turning off automatically, most likely due to low batteries. Due to the way that they installed it, I was unable to get the battery compartment open and was forced to call them to come out and service it. It cost $99 dollars for them to come out, which is annoying but typical, and I was assured on the phone that should be my only expense since all of my equipment is still under warranty. The technician came by this morning, and after examining the equipment he said he thought it was a low battery issue. He then told me that he could see that when they installed the thermostat, they also installed a power line that would eliminate the need to deal with batteries at all, they just never hooked it up (and remember, this is all Doc Savage purchased and installed equipment - the "they" is Doc Savage). NOBODY even told me that was an option when they installed it, or asked me what I would prefer. The technician finished his work and told me it would be $99 for the visit, which I knew, and then $74 for actually fixing the issue. I told him that his office told me over the phone yesterday that all my equipment is still under warranty, to which he replied that he would need to call in and check. He went outside and placed his call, and returned with the line that I opened this review with: "It is under warranty, but my manager still insisted I charge you something." WHAT. THE. F***. He said in an attempt to "meet me halfway", they would bring the extra charge down from $74 to $9. I don't like to take out my frustrations with a company on their rank and file, so I just bit the bullet and paid the extra $9 (for a total of $108), and I hope Doc Savage enjoys it, because it is the last money they will EVER see from me. This entire experience should and could have been avoided in the first place if they had installed the unit properly, and/or asked my preference as to whether I wanted battery or hardwired power, and then to essentially steal from me by admitting that they shouldn't be charging me at all, but the manager insisted??! Yeah I'm done with this company, and I strongly advise anyone reading this to avoid them as well. The technicians are nice, personable people, but there's something deeply wrong with the management.

Allweather After a company that had been servicing our heat…read morepump for years told us that we had a crack in our heat exchanger and shut off our heat saying they "had to by law" and giving us an estimate to replace our, admittedly, old system that started at roughly 10k for the "budget" option to 15k for the "best" option my son called All Weather to come check out the system. My son works for Georgia Power and All Weather is a company they recommend, so he felt like they would be a great second opinion. They sent a technician right away! Zac was here within the half hour and got right to work. Pretty soon he came back to tell us he didn't see any crack at all and everything was working fine. He even took our carbon monoxide filter out to the unit to see if it was leaking carbon monoxide. Nothing. He said that it would be fine to turn our heat back on. That was welcome news since our house was 58 degrees at that point. I didn't mind that much but my 82 year old mom was struggling. Zac couldn't have been nicer and more personable. We ask him to send a bill and he said there was no charge. I won't even get into the ethics that some companies seem to be devoid of when dealing with senior citizens (had a similar experience with a roofing company) but it is nice to know honest companies still exist. So now we don't have to spend ten grand two weeks before Christmas and we have a new company to service, and eventually replace, our heating and air unit. I can highly recommend All Weather, and Zac!
