Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Service

They originally wanted over $400.00 to install a new basket, which would have been under warranty, but only for 90 days. There was a slow leak, due to eroded sealant under the basket, between it and the actual sink. The plumbers were professional, and kind, but that price is horrific. And, of course, I paid it because I felt like I couldn't say no. I'm so mad at myself. I was expecting $150/200.00 for labor. I understand it is a specialized service and I am not discounting that, but considering it only took 30.00 mins, that is $275.00/hour.

The 2nd bathroom had a similar issue but the water could be cut off. The plumber arrived to give an estimate, which took nearly an hour and a half. After an hour he asked if there was another toilet in the house in which I showed the 3rd toilet. This took another 30 minutes before he came with 3 estimates ranging from $654-$2,999. This covered replacing 2 toilets for $2,999, or replacing 3 fill valves and a angle stop in one for $982 or repair the angle stop and adjust the fill valves for $654. It was not until I agreed on one of the options that the water was turned off. I saw the plumber with a shovel and tools in the middle of the yard, I went outside and asked what he was about to do and he said turn the water off once he located the water turn off. I advised the water meter was on the curb by the power pole, he stopped and went to the meter and turned the water off. He was there for about 3 1/2 hours doing the work. (9-12:45) The last issue was after leaving, the hot water was at a trickle so I notified the company around 1:05. The plumber called at 4:15 to advise he was 30 minutes away but remembered he forgot to turn the hot water heater back on and asked if I could go turn it back on. I asked if he could document that he asked me to turn it back on in case anything went wrong. He apologized and because it was late in the day on a Friday, I knew he did not want to come back. For what I was charged, and sitting there all day, I should have received a follow up call from him or the company.

Perfecto Plumbing - After trying to fix the issue with the original spout. Used the new tub spout and damaged my tub.

I contacted Mr. Odom to complete some plumbing work in my newly purchased home which came to a…read moretotal of $1,440. He was tasked with removing the old water heater and installing a new water heater. As well as replacing a tub drain cover, replacing two bathroom faucets, and installing new shower trims in my main and guest bathrooms. I brought all of the materials that needed to be replaced/installed. On the day of service he had a helper who was there to assist him. Mr. Odom told me that he and his helper were having issues trying to install the new shower trim in the guest bathroom. As a result they were just going to put the original spout back on (the tub spout was working properly before they took it off). After they did this the tub spout was not flushed with the shower wall and it did not work properly. When I turned on the tub spout there was water coming out from behind the spout. And when I turned on the shower, water would still come out the spout. I told Mr. Odom about it and he said he would check it out. Unfortunately, as a result of this company's work my guest bathroom tub was damaged (see images). There was damage to the shower wall in which they chipped and put a hole in it when trying to install the new tub spout. Then, proceeded to do a very unpleasant looking caulking job. My shower wall was also burnt during the process of Mr. Odom swelling a pipe. When I asked Mr. Odom to refund me the cost ($150) of installing the shower trims, he only refunded me $125 and stated, "Refund even though I do not owe you." After installing the new water heater Mr. Odom told me that they could not remove the old water heater from the attic because of a personal issue and would have to come back later with a different helper to remove it (he came back 6 days later to remove it). He did not inform about his personal issue when I initially reached out to him for an estimate. After this whole ordeal, I had to get another plumbing company to come out and assess everything that him and his helper did. As well as see what could be done in order to fix the damage to my guest bathroom tub. While the plumber was assessing the work, he noticed that an expansion tank was not installed on the new water heater (by the way, I asked Mr. Odom whether I need one and he said no). It cost me $348 for the new plumber to install the expansion tank. In order to fix the damage to the tub I had to get a resurfacing company. Who also fixed the drain gasket because it was installed wrong by Mr. Odom (or his helper). It cost me $1,400 to get my tub fixed and resurfaced. Now, I have to get the new plumber to come back and install a new tub spout, which will cost me more money. A $1,440 job with Perfecto Plumbing has now cost me an additional $1748 (and counting). Update: Mr. Odom should rethink and delete his claim about me not being honest. I have all of the text messages and do not mind posing them (if he would like) to prove that I wanted a refund of $150 (the cost for installing the shower trims) due to my dissatisfaction with the work. He is correct in stating this job took place in 2024. It took place on April 12 and he returned on April 18, 2024 to "fix" the spout issue (offered to paint over the burns) and remove the old water heater. It took me over a year to get the money and time to have the damages fixed. I also wanted to give accurate figures on how much it cost to fix the damage that was caused by this company. It took me some days to gather my thoughts and assess the damage that was done to my tub. On April 22, 2024, when I informed him about the damages and wanting a refund he did not offer to come back and fix the damage. And even if he would have offered I did not want him to return to my home a THIRD time considering that he already tried to fix his mistake once and end up burning and chipping my tub. Also, he originally said that he would only refund me $100. You read that correctly...he tried to off me a refund of $100. He is correct in stating that I did not answer the phone when he tried to call me on April 22, 2024 because I wanted to only communicate with him via text in order to have a record of what he stated because I did not trust him to tell the truth (case in point his reply to this review).

Brandon came out first and explained in detail what was wrong with my very old a/c unit. He explained all options with me and the costs for repair and replacement. He was very courteous, knowledgeable, and easy to understand. It was less expensive to replace the unit. He also explained the 6 months no finance charge plan with me. That worked out perfectly as well. Then came Nick, Owen, Chris, Jeremy, Jacob, and Kyle to complete the work. The office staff, Vanessa. Michelle, and Ashley were also very helpful and extremely courteous. The timing was perfect and they ALL worked together and made sure that my air conditioning unit and ductwork was installed with perfection. The cost was also unbelievably low. After installation, the airflow was a little loud when the fan blowed. No problem. They came right back out with a week and installed a new vent so the airflow would be more quiet. It was perfect. I TRULY am proud of how they truly care about their customers and are expert team workers. TEAMWORK MAKES DREAMWORK! They are an excellent team. I truly thank God for all of them. I have to also give Honor and Praise God Almighty and to Pat Cutlip, who loves The Lord and serve Him faithfully. When the top of the pyramid is Holy and God fearing, then the rest of the pyramid falls in order. Thanks again, Atlas for an excellent job. We'll done! To God Be The Glory!
