They proceeded to tell me that the part was extremely hard to find and that it would have to wait till Monday (2 days after the inspection). They stated that it was such a hard part to find that they had to order it directly from the manufacturer. The cost was going to be 500$ plus the installation charge......over 600$. Meanwhile, my girlfriend recommended that I call Les. He came within 24hrs and was able to find this magical part at a company right in North Augusta. We picked up the parts he needed, and within 2 hours my ac was working all for 300$ (parts and labor). He was fair, professional and reasonable. He was informative and taught me how to better maintain my system! I highly recommend his services!!!

Don't trust the good reviews…read more 2 year old Carrier Heat Pump not cooling on a Townhome bought new 2 years ago. No idea who installing company was. Property manager jumped the gun and called out another company that was not Carrier authorized who diagnosed it as a freon leak from a bad factory solder joint. $770 to repair from non Carrier authorized company. Called Carrier for warranty coverage and they recommended Holley as they are an authorized Carrier dealer/repairer and could diagnose the problem, then contact their Carrier representative for a solution. Holley confirmed the diagnosis of factory defect with bad solder joint causing all freon to leak out. I was told by Holley service tech, they cannot guarantee the repair or assure me that one of the other solder joints will not leak eventually causing the same issue. I also was told by Holley several times that they would not deal with Carrier for a solution as they "did not install the unit" (when it is not an installation issue. It is a manufacturer defect). Estimate to repair from Holley $1660. Somewhere along the line, Holley did speak with their distributor Mingeldorf (sp?) who offered a $500 credit towards labor to repair the unit, but it had to be used within 15 days. I then got to tinking about the difference in repair estimates. I asked for a itemized breakdown from Holley for the repair and was given this: $470 for 5lbs of R401A $1190 for 3 hours of labor, Misc, Materials (acetylene, copper fitting, solder material) Now lets assume the Misc and materials is $100. That equals $1090 for 3 hours of labor or $363/hr. I have asked for their hourly labor rate 4 times and they will not give it to me. The owner is rude and basically said I need to go somewhere else to have it fixed. He stated that I don't want to pay for anything (which is untrue). It is clear to me that they are deceitful in their business practices as I can assure you that $363/hr is not the going rate per hour for HVAC service. I don't want the repair for free, but I also don't want to be lied to and taken advantage of which is what this company is doing.

However, we recently had an incident concerning a B&E employee who brought along an unauthorized person, which led to some of my power tools going missing. The employee brought this fellow along on a service call to my business. To be clear, this fellow was NOT an employee of B&E. I have several cameras in my business and video footage shows the individual tampering with one of my cameras and taking advantage of the time he had alone in my storage area while the employee took care of collecting payment for services. It is possible that the employee himself had no idea this was occurring, however, he brought this individual along and with that, comes a level of responsibility for this whole debacle. The problem was quickly resolved by the owner, Michael Morgensen, who took full responsibility for the actions of his employee and the fellow who was unauthorized to be there. There was no need for litigation, but as a lesson I'd like to pass on to you: please be sure to ask your service techs to show credentials or provide proof that all persons are authorized to be there and always monitor them to the best of your abilities.

Sure enough the update came through and it fixed the problem. Not sure how a Carrier dealer would not know that and try to charge me for this. I recommend steering clear if you need a professional to repair your system.

The onsite manager, Lewis, was fantastic and extremely knowledgeable. His crew included Titus and Joseph were fantastic as well. They also installed a large 2 unit HVAC in our previous home in 2014. We were extremely pleased as well. They are extremely thorough - insuring the duct work is adequate for the home, units are installed correctly and take the time to make sure the homeowner is informed as the project goes along. Mr. Blackwell was out each day to monitor progress and at the completion of the installation to make sure everything was in order. Allweather After a company that had been servicing our heat…read morepump for years told us that we had a crack in our heat exchanger and shut off our heat saying they "had to by law" and giving us an estimate to replace our, admittedly, old system that started at roughly 10k for the "budget" option to 15k for the "best" option my son called All Weather to come check out the system. My son works for Georgia Power and All Weather is a company they recommend, so he felt like they would be a great second opinion. They sent a technician right away! Zac was here within the half hour and got right to work. Pretty soon he came back to tell us he didn't see any crack at all and everything was working fine. He even took our carbon monoxide filter out to the unit to see if it was leaking carbon monoxide. Nothing. He said that it would be fine to turn our heat back on. That was welcome news since our house was 58 degrees at that point. I didn't mind that much but my 82 year old mom was struggling. Zac couldn't have been nicer and more personable. We ask him to send a bill and he said there was no charge. I won't even get into the ethics that some companies seem to be devoid of when dealing with senior citizens (had a similar experience with a roofing company) but it is nice to know honest companies still exist. So now we don't have to spend ten grand two weeks before Christmas and we have a new company to service, and eventually replace, our heating and air unit. I can highly recommend All Weather, and Zac!

Recently the thermostat started turning off automatically, most likely due to low batteries. Due to the way that they installed it, I was unable to get the battery compartment open and was forced to call them to come out and service it. It cost $99 dollars for them to come out, which is annoying but typical, and I was assured on the phone that should be my only expense since all of my equipment is still under warranty. The technician came by this morning, and after examining the equipment he said he thought it was a low battery issue. He then told me that he could see that when they installed the thermostat, they also installed a power line that would eliminate the need to deal with batteries at all, they just never hooked it up (and remember, this is all Doc Savage purchased and installed equipment - the "they" is Doc Savage). NOBODY even told me that was an option when they installed it, or asked me what I would prefer. The technician finished his work and told me it would be $99 for the visit, which I knew, and then $74 for actually fixing the issue. I told him that his office told me over the phone yesterday that all my equipment is still under warranty, to which he replied that he would need to call in and check. He went outside and placed his call, and returned with the line that I opened this review with: "It is under warranty, but my manager still insisted I charge you something." WHAT. THE. F***. He said in an attempt to "meet me halfway", they would bring the extra charge down from $74 to $9. I don't like to take out my frustrations with a company on their rank and file, so I just bit the bullet and paid the extra $9 (for a total of $108), and I hope Doc Savage enjoys it, because it is the last money they will EVER see from me. This entire experience should and could have been avoided in the first place if they had installed the unit properly, and/or asked my preference as to whether I wanted battery or hardwired power, and then to essentially steal from me by admitting that they shouldn't be charging me at all, but the manager insisted??! Yeah I'm done with this company, and I strongly advise anyone reading this to avoid them as well. The technicians are nice, personable people, but there's something deeply wrong with the management.
