I usually make a mix of flavors with lots of chocolate toppings, and it never disappoints. My favorite topping is the hot fudge. On my most recent visit, I tried the new Mabel's Nutty Adventure flavor and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. It had such a great nutty flavor and paired perfectly with my toppings. The location features eight machines. That's 16 flavors, plus swirl combo flavors! When I was there, the featured flavor was "Lucky Irish Mint." I sampled 4 flavors: - Irish Mint/ Oreo Swirl combo - Strawberry - Coffee Blend - Mango Tart I passed up the neatly displayed toppings, and went straight to weighing my cup. Yogurtland is a "pay by weight" fro-yo place. They had "PAY FIRST" signs telling people to pay before eating their yogurt. I noticed something missing. Usually Yogurtlands have the "Price Per Ounce" clearly displayed behind the checkout area. I think it's important to know how much something costs. I asked the cashier, and he hesitated at first. Then he said " 89 cents per ounce." That's not the most expensive I've seen. I have reviewed 30+ fro-yo places in the SF Bay Area. I love a frozen yogurt on a hot summer night. It is delicious and healthy. Unlike other yogurt shop, I like the different flavors we can try at yogurtland and it is self served so i get as little or as much as we want. While their yogurt is not as solid as pinkberry, they made it up by offering the variety and sizes. I visit this location occasionally since it is close to my work. Nearly half their machines have been broken for months, the basic vanilla and chocolate machine has been down for 4-5 months. I have asked the worker several times what the problem is and all they can say is they're waiting on a technician. Seriously, it can't this long fix the machines. The yogurt, on the other hand, was good / okay. I got the Green Tea, Cheesecake, Pumpkin Cold Brew, and Milk & Cereal. The toppings I got were mochi and fruity pebbles. The Green Tea was very light in flavor compared to everything else. I wasn't sure if this was because it lacked flavor or because it was over powered by another flavor like the cold brew. I didn't get very much of each flavor since I just wanted to try them out. Milk & Cereal was pretty good! I thought it tasted like it sounds as well as what I expected (which was good). It was sweet (but not too sweet) and tasted like fruit loops or fruity pebbles. The Pumpkin Cold Brew was okay. It tasted like it sounds with only a hint of pumpkin. Lastly, the cheesecake was good. Time is of the essence with things like froyo that melt quickly, so it would have been nice to have had a staff member waiting at the register for customers. Not only Yogurtland is the best, this particular shop is the most awesome yogurt store because it is ultra clean. You walk in and it is so refreshing. The staffs are amazing with positive energy. This particular guy (see photo) greeted every customer coming in. He also excitedly introduce us to new flavors. So positive and so upbeat. You can hear music in the back. My theory is that if the employees are happy, excited, and proud, the restaurant must be awesome. I am betting the manager in charge is great to have good employees like that. They advertised Chocolate Lava Gelato but they did not have any that night that I came w/ the kids. Like, how could they do that to me?!
