I got caught in construction traffic which routed all cars into this parking lot and after being stuck on Hwy 111 for 40 minutes, I decided I'd take a break and get some froyo. It was my first time at Yogurt Island and I was immediately struck by how beautiful the store was. Unique decor with elegant lighting, very boutique feeling. All customers wear plastic gloves to make your yogurt, which I appreciate. And I was surprised that the price of my yogurt was considerably less than another yogurt chain down the street that is lacking in ambience. The lady working there thanked me sincerely for coming in to try their yogurt, and her sweetness really moved me. I was given a card to get punched to get a free yogurt, which I have now used quite a few times. This is the only yogurt store I will go to now in the Coachella Valley! read more

I normally don't have a sweet tooth but this frozen yogurt self serve shop sure hit the spot! Located in La Quinta right off of highway 111 and Washington this spot was easy to find. The shopping center goes get busy so parking can be a little tight but it's convenient to get to from where I stay. The shop itself is immaculately clean which is a 10/10 A+ in my books. They have gloves at the front which is really smart so you don't accidentally make contact with any of the toppings. Some might say overkill but I appreciate the extra cleanliness measure. Also they are practicing what they preach here as this store is super clean and tidy! Counters were free of spills and nothing was sticky, a tough thing to accomplish at a desert bar. I loved all of the toppings and flavors they had here. The soft serve selection was impressive. Off the top of my head they had vanilla, chocolate, watermelon, banana, cookies and cream and cake batter to name a few yogurt flavors. I went with the cake batter which was a good choice in my books. For toppings they had wonderful selection, made it really hard to choose to be honest. I added mango, hot fudge, Nutella, cheesecake bites, Reece's, and some cherries. Man was this dessert delicious and filling. This is really an awesome spot to cool off in the summer or just when you are craving a sweet treat. read more

We've been coming to this spot for years! It has a variety of flavors and toppings that make this a must stop. The yogurt is also labeled perfectly to let you know what is dairy free, nonfat, peanut allergies, etc! There are also a wide variety of toppings - candy, fruit, sauces - so you can really make all happy! Service is also phenomenal and very friendly. You can't go wrong with fro-yo! I thought it was odd that Yogurt Island still requests guests to wear masks, and in addition you have to wear gloves in order to proceed through the line to get fro-yo. I appreciate the precautions but I think the gloves may be excessive. The three stars is focused on the fact that a lot of the machines didn't have flavors and there wasn't a great variety of flavors amongst the ones that were available. The pricing is decent, it's close to some shopping and restaurants. The best part is it hits the spot! read more

Customer service is Terrible. I would totally be on board to wear gloves but not after he made initial contact and answered a question, a few min he went in the back and so when he came out he had not seen that i had just sanitized. It should have been the first thing he did. Or a sign next to the cups. read more

been here multiple times and it's always a good experience. the place has always been clean when we've gone and i love the selection of flavors to choose from and the toppings that you can add to your taste. me and my boyfriend together spend around $20 about ten each. i love getting the vanilla flavor with butterfinger pieces, peanuts, strawberry boba, strawberries, banana (if there's none there you can ask them to cut some up and they will) i tried the strawberry flavor today and it was yummy. read more

In response to the Jackie J. review: I find this review very inaccurate. The immigrant couple that runs this are reasonably friendly. How much customer service do you expect from a self-serve buffet, anyway?! They are going very far to sanitize, maintain Social distances, and they wiped down the checkstand and scale after each customer. They make you don gloves when you come in. And, they no longer require cash; I used a credit card terminal there. And they had10 of 12 flavor options working. WTH, Jackie J? read more

Small shop right at 111 and Washington. Good selection of flavors and an ok selection of toppings to choose from. Nice husband and wife team (I assume) that were running things when we were there. They a few tables out front but not much seating other than that. read more

Wow! If you want toppings, this place has got 'em! They have at least 10+ different cereals (located in the nifty red dispensers toward the back) and lots of fruit toppings. Also, you have to ask for the whipped cream --- very worth it! There is nothing too special about their froyo flavors though... None of them were very exotic and most were just plain fruit flavors. They did, however, have pistachio, which is one of my favorites. I love that I can stop here after a late dinner since they don't close until 11:30 PM, on Saturday that is. I'm not sure about other days. This place is popular w/ teenagers; when I walked in at 10:30 PM, the place had 10 or so guests still. Their dining area is very welcoming. There were flat screen TVs at a few of the tables which definitely made me feel right at home. They had Shark Tale playing when I went. This is a cute little froyo shop. I recommend it! read more

Finally! A place I felt 100% safe to go to during the pandemic. The place was spotless and I saw the owner wipe the door handle right after I walked in. He also made sure gloves were used when we were using the yogurt dispensers. On top of that the yogurt was amazing. Highly recommend! read more

This is my new favorite yogurt place! Went a little before closing tonight, and the experience was great. There were so many options from the yogurt to the toppings. I was surprised at how well stocked everything was this close to closing. Also, the place was soooo clean. I enjoyed seeing the gloves and sanitizer provided to customers upon entering. The owners were also so welcoming! It was all around a great experience, we will definitely be back! read more

I will never go back to yogurt Island if it was the last yogurt place in the world. The owners are nasty unfriendly and unaccommodating. They actually cheated me out of my free yogurt and when you go over to sample they watch you like a hawk. I don't review on Yelp very often but I had to post this. I've actually been to this yogurt place a few times and every time it's been the same unfriendly to the extreme! I will never spend my money there again. read more

Love this place. We used to go to Tutti Frutti's all the time, then we discovered this place and it became our #1 favorite yogurt shop. They have more flavors and more toppings, not to mention a better reward thing. Basically instead of the buy 10 get 4oz free or whatnot they do it by an amount of money you earn based on weight- so you can save up to get how ever much you want free, and they put the running total on your little reward card. I DO however think Tutti Frutti is cleaner, but I'm not sure if that's because it's more brightly lit or because Yogurt Island has so much traffic going through constantly it's hard to keep up. Anyway the yogurt is so yummy I can't dock a star for that. read more

wow !!! everything you could want or hope for in a frozen yogurt place. man, yogurt's come a ways from the mom-and-pop hole in the wall places that popped up everywhere a couple decades ago. like WILLY WONKA in LAS VEGAS -- this is a visual cacophony on steroids, a complete sensory overload. YOGURT ISLAND would be the perfect location for the follow up made-for-TV movie of the LOST series. wacky, mysterious and completely over the top. read more

Awh My personal favorite is yogurt island, they never disappoint with flavors and consistency! I've tried other yogurt spots and their flavors and it's nothing compared to yogurt island! The la quinta location is clean, always stocked with condiments and cashiers are always pleasant. My personal favorite combo is vanilla cookies n cream with graham crackers crust, strawberries and cookie dough! delish! read more

WOW, Golden Spoon who? What a lovely surprise. Just when one thinks that frozen yogurt has become so predictable along comes Yogurt Island. You have about 15 different base yogurts to chose from and then you just build from there. All kinds of toppings under the sun. I was so happy with the large selection of fresh fruit in particular- Mangos, Blackberries, Blueberries, Pineapple, Oranges, Strawberry's, Kiwi, Fresh Cherries etc, etc. Extra yummy sorbet flavors too! read more

This is the best yogurt shop in the Coachella Valley. The atmosphere is very high class. Always a wide variety of yogurt flavors and the largest selection of toppings I've ever seen. This place gets really busy at times, but the workers are always non-stressed and awesomely nice. Seriously, if you're having a bad day, go. They'll make you happy! They have dairy free options which is amazing! Lots of different flavors to choose from as well as sample. Quite a large selection of toppings from dry, cold and hot. The pricing is pretty cheap as well. Great place to go for a cheat dessert and kick the sweet tooth craving without feeling so guilty. It seems like they're always playing Finding Nemo on their tv though. They also have inside as well as outside seating. read more

Best frozen yogurt in town! Love frozen yogurt and have tried practically every place in the desert, this place by far is the best tasting yogurt! It's got more toppings than any other place and more flavors too. I'm a fan of their vanilla, pistachio, peanut butter, and tart. The only gripe I have about this place is that I wish it were bigger. Can get congested near the machines on occasion...but I guess that's a good gripe for this business! read more

The raspberries taste old in my chocolate yogurt and they had just ran out of the old fashion granola Getting a yogurt now..not what i thought it would be! Sorry to say this was not good yogurt at all even some of the yogurts i tried were runny and they had run out of Old Fashion Granola Topping so i was very disappointed.There are other choices even if you have to make a little bit further drive into Palm Dessert you are far better off!!!. read more

The frozen yogurt was delicious, and the fruit toppings were fresh. The only downside is that they should really offer sample cups for tasting the different froyo flavors.
