Because of yogurt beach I now have a dangerous love affair with frozen yogurt! I have tried many other yogurt shops but none compare! The yogurt always has a much more creamy texture, they always have tons of flavored to chose from and even more topping choices! Ok, it's Yogurt, which is basically a healthier version of soft serve ice Cream. Call it what ever you want to market it to the masses! I really like this place. Generally you don't hit the frozen sweets mid winter, but this weather has been an exception! After a great bike ride we stopped in, and to no surprise, the place is always busy. They stay on top of replenishing the fruits and toppings, and they do a nice job of mixing up their specialty yogurts. The only problem we ever have is deciding what to get! Can't wait for the warmer- warm weather and we will be here every day after school! It was a cold Tuesday night in Reno. I had just eaten a wonderful burrito and Buenos and I was craving some dessert. I opened the door to Yogurt Beach and was welcomed by an employee that I would later get to know as "PJ." Walking up to the yogurt selections I was overwhelmed by the plethora of yogurt flavors. It is rare to find so many different flavors these days. PJ offered me some samples and I must admit I tried almost all of them. I created a wonderful tart, cookie dough, and caramel base and threw on some of the many different toppings that they offer. I checked out my creation as I walked up to the register and boy was I happy! PJ commented that my yogurt looked "fantastic" as he rung me up. I enjoyed my creation in one of the cool island themed tables. This place deserves 5 stars because of the friendly workers (PJ) as well as the high quality yogurt and selection of toppings. read more

I haven't been to any other yogurt places in Reno, but I went here based on the Yelp reviews and I had a fantastic experience. I asked them questions about allergies and they answered them easily. Nice to see a place have such a great selection (especially toppings) and also be so aware of cross-contamination issues when it comes to allergies. read more

This is by far my favorite place to get frozen yogurt. I can not say enough good things about this place. They have a great selection of yogurt choices, and so many topping to choose from. The toppings area is huge, and you are never having to wait for other people to select theirs. The fruit is always fresh. The cake batter is by far my favorite. They have a new flavor or two every week, and they have all been great. The staff here is so friendly. I have been their several times since they opened and have always been treated so kindly. This particular Yogurt Beach is a great atmosphere for children and adults, many kids on Wednesdays after school head over to Yogurt Beach for a great experience. My brother and I enjoy it very much it is always the highlight of our day whenever we go. The prices are great and the yogurt is amazing. The service is absolutely fantastic, and you will always leave with a big smile on your face. There are many great flavors and toppings that you can put on your delicious yogurt. Im sorry but the workers JP and Hannah are awful!! So uninviting, depressed looked on their faces, so rude whenever I asked a question. I couldn't even find a green cup they hadnt refilled them. It seemed like I was pulling teeth asking for a sample. The customer service was just terrible and Im really dissapointed...If I spend money at an establishment I want to at least be greeted with a hello and smile...I got misery and I felt like I was a bother being in here. The last few times we've been in the girls at the counter are too busy flirting or chatting with boys in he store to bring sample cups over... seriously when will yogurt beach decide to let customers grab their own sample like all the other places do? Just treated myself to a healthy small cup of chocolate custard and cake batter, added fresh mango, black berry and kit kat pieces. They charge by weight so be extra careful not to overdo your bowl. Still its fun to mix and match toppings or just leave it plain. The employees greet you at the front door "Hi welcome to Yogurt Beach. Yogurt Beach is wonderful. They always have delicious flavors and often rotate new ones in. Their toppings bar is what really sells me though. There are so many options: fruit, cereal, nuts, candy, chocolate, syrups. They have the best variety, in my opinion. They also do shakes although I haven't tried them. They have punch cards to gain rewards. Every 10 punches earns you a free yogurt. The staff, while young, is always friendly & quick. Samples are available upon request. The store isn't all that large. Which would be my one complaint; although, the shopping center has a lot of outdoor seating which is nicely landscaped. It's a fantastic place to grab a quick snack or to catch up with friends. read more

This is the best place in Reno to get frozen yogurt. The consistency is perfect- when I get froyo at other places, it's icy and way too sweet. I also like the flavors here the best- raspberry and peanut butter are my favorites. You can also make root beer floats with the vanilla froyo- I haven't tried it, but it's a cool option if you want something different. It's located in a nice little plaza with Walden's Coffeehouse and various other bakeries/restaurants/little shops. I like that it's in a more secluded area instead of next to a bunch of commercial chain stores like most froyo places. There's seating inside and outside, and the price is pretty standard for froyo. Awesome place! Love the variety. Unfortunately, every time I have gone, they are out of cups. How does a yogurt place NOT HAVE yogurt cups? Instead, you get stuck with an apology and a MASSIVE cup the size of a 52 gallon drum. Yogurt Beach has the best frozen yogurt I've ever had. You won't want to go back to u-swirl or Yogurtland after eating here. The prices may be a little higher than the chain frozen yogurt shops, but you won't be disappointed. Their yogurt has more of a creamy texture and reminds me more of ice-cream than frozen yogurt. I have stopped at this store several time. It is a much better setup than MMM Yogurt and there seems to be more toppings. The staff has been extremely nice. I really like the more tart flavors and the plain tart is my favorite. I always get the blackberries and they are nice and fresh. As others have pointed out I wish they had smaller cups but I know the idea is to fill them up since you pay by the ounce. Nice place to stop for a treat. read more

A great, fun little spot for a fun dessert. Lots of fun yogurt flavors, and an amazing array of toppings to make a custom frozen creation. The staff of young people were all super friendly and helpful, and talked us noobs through the process of building our sundaes and paying for them (they sell by weight). Beyond irritated, and the employees just look, never have offered a napkin...or a "the napkins are right over there" when I'm looking for them to clean myself up. Its like U-Swirl, Yogurtland, and basically any other serve yourself frozen yogurt place you could think of. You walk in, grab a "cup"(more like a bowl in my opinion), ask for a taster of the flavor that seems to have the most potential and proceed to fill your massive bowl full of whatever goodness you've picked. Then move on to the toppings bar where you continue to fill your bowl with even more stuff, mixing things into a concoction that surely only you could love(They have a lot of different toppings ranging from berries/fruits to cereal to candies like gummy worms and peanut butter cups). When you've filled your bowl you go to the weighing station where you put your creation on the scale to find that you've just piled 8 bucks worth of cereal, yogurt, etc. into that oh so deceiving 'cup' and pay up. Feeling guilty that you just paid 8 big ones for this bowl of mush, you proceed to pile it into your mouth. Sooo good yet sooo bad you continue this vicious cycle because it is fun and right now the thing that everyone in Reno seems to love. Until the next fad rolls into town. Three stars here. One cause I like the cheesy beach theme they've got going. Another cause the workers, although generally high school kids, seem pretty competent and are nice. And the third cause I have a friend who loves it so much that I feel obligated to give it a good review. Great selection of yogurts and complementing condiments. Ambience, interior decor, and availability of outdoor seating makes this better than most. But if this a self serve yogurt place, why is someone serving me samples? All places in Southern California allow you to sample yourself. By having a server handle the samples, it takes away from the whole self serve yogurt experience. Might be acceptable in Reno, but not to me. read more

Went here on 8/3/18 about 9pm. From entering the building, to leaving....I was absolutely amazed. Living in CA this yogurt place was out of the ordinary. The decor was beachy and comfortable. The yogurt (Cake Batter) was not only delicious, but savory. Not to mention the endless topping available. To top it off, the staff was friendly and attentive. read more
