Delicious food!! Amazing customer service. Clean environment. Love the drink and sauce choices. The temura shrimp is amazing and the sushi is perfect. Prices are a tad high but I think they're worth it. The streak and chicken teriyaki are delicious as is the sticky white rice. I found my new fav place!!!

    Dirty vents need cleaning.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant and overall I wasn't blown away by any means. The workers were nice enough when not on their phones. The atmosphere was somewhat clean minus the vents which I took a photo of. As for the food the chicken and beef was decent and I did enjoy their sauce. But their rice was alittle mushy and their sushi was also not very good. If I was going to spend 40 plus dollars on a fast food restaurant similar I'd probably go to Tokyo joes which I feel is more fresh and wait time was about the same. Hope this helps others not waste their time and money on a place they might not feel is worth it.

This place is a joke and cheap with their sauces on to go orders. 1. Beef plate more fat chewy piece than beef 2. I ordered chicken katsu and vegetable tempura with a side of spicy mayo to go (it wasn't my first time) I got home notice no spicy mayo on side whatever its 50cents opened the food container and noticed spicy mayo on my food and no teriyaki sauce. This place is cheap they can't even honor a 50 cent side of spicy mayo they only gave me a drizzle (I wanted it for my vegetables) and no sauce for the cold chicken. The reason for this review for the careless response from management. See photo.

    Can you spot the hair?

Had to eat my veggie roll with a fork because the roll wouldn't stay together. My husband found hair in his food halfway through. We will not be back.

Dined in at yogis and was served in a timely manner. The staff was really nice and provided everything we asked for. The food was pretty good and was made fresh to order. It is a little pricey but it's the closest spot that has a good teriyaki chicken meal. The katsu chicken was okay, not as good as the teriyaki meal. My mom got the sushi and they were pretty big and she did like them, the only downfall is they didn't come with cucumbers. They have an unlimited amount of spicy and regular teriyaki sauce by their condiments which I really liked. Based off the reviews I see a lot of take out orders and they aren't good. I would totally suggest eating here if you plan on getting this place so you're not disappointed. Not every place can master take out lol. It was also pretty clean in the restaurant too.

This restaurant takes me back 20 years, they are a Teriyaki place adding to the menu and not quite sure how the want to launch. Ok don't take it wrong, it was not bad, not great just barely average thus the 3 stars. This is a counter order restaurant but they do carry your meal out, very generous with sauces and condiments on back counter. We did not have Teriyaki but the plates we saw looked really good. We started by sharing a Miso, you can always tell how good Japanese food is by their Miso. The broth was wonderful and tasty with plenty curd. My complaint absolutely nothing in the broth? No tofu, onion, seaweed? Nothing. For such great broth if they added something to it, it would be great. I ordered the spicy tuna. It did not look very appetizing when it arrived, they were generous with rice and spicy tuna, they also topped with maybe a quarter avocado, but what really surprised me was that it had 2 little pieces of cucumber? Cmon even your pic shows 4. Once mixed up it was fairly tasty. My husband got the chicken Katzu, a little dry and tough but again once it was sauced up not bad. The prices were fair for what we received when compared to other restaurants. Eating here is like fast food Japanese. When in a hurry for a quick bite, I would try again, only thing, not quite sure I would order the Sushi. It's worth a try based on your budget and quality you might be looking for.

    Rotten spicy tuna roll

As with other reviews I saw, the food is not fresh. Ordered a spicy tuna roll and could tell it was not fresh at all it tasted fishy and rotten. I recommend Ah Hai off of cotton lane. They have very fresh seafood. This tuna tasted spoiled. I ended up eating a few bites, then throwing it away. Close this place down. Yuck!

Gross avocado with black spots all over it for an up charge.

First time here as I wanted to try something similar to flame broiler since they don't have that where we just moved to here in Arizona. So I asked for white meat chicken with halfbrown rice, half veggie, which apparently they don't offer so I had to get full brown rice and then pay $2.99 for veggies on the side. I asked for avocado which cost extra as well and then I asked for my sauce on the side which they apparently charge for per packet! I'm told the sauce comes free on your bowl, but if you want it on the side, you have to pay extra, make it make sense! I ended paying almost more for add ons then the actual bowl. Then I get my order after an extremely long weight, and I look at it and there are sesame seeds all over it which on the menu, it does not list that as a topping. I told the girl that I'm allergic to sesame seeds and she seems very upset goes and tells the cook who looks at me and rolls her eyes so hard and instead of remaking my bowl they just picked off the avocado that had the majority of the sesame seeds and replaced the avocado, which by the way had black spots all over it so the avocado I paid extra for was no longer good. I am now not even eating this because who knows where else there is sesame seeds in this bowl. This could be a health issue with my allergy. The girl told me that I need to tell them next time I do not want sesame seeds on the bowl. I told her that's fine but I've never been here before and their menu does not explain that there are sesame seeds on their bowls. And she basically told me that since it's a Japanese restaurant that I should just know that they come that way. I've been going to Japanese places for many years and they always have allergy stuff listed and tell you what's on their food and I've never had an issue. I will not be coming back here. The service was awful and the food is way too expensive. Edited to add the cook eats and picks off peoples food while making orders. Disgusting!

Yogis--- it is what it is & this location is fine. IDK what the bad reviews are for!?!?

This yogis is just fine and the young ladies working here are oh - so friendly and fast! This ain't a Michelin star restaurant... so get over it!!!! And get over yourself. Lol

Chicken and beef lunch special large
    Fatai S.

Yogis has been a very reliable teriyaki and sushi spot that creates your food in a very timely manner and at time performs above and beyond when discussing food presentation and preparation. You can never go wrong with the lunch special that is from 11am - 2pm which is the best bang for your buck. The sushi at times can be very chewy and unappetizing but also can be extremely delectable and savory. My absolute favorite part about Yogis is that it provides you with a self serve mini bar which you can add jalapeños, green onions, and other add ons; all for free! I don't understand why this place has so many bad reviews. It's by all means not perfect but where things really matter, Yogis get done right. 4/5 Stars

    A 14$ Salmon Teriyaki Bowl
    Victor V.

I come to this yogis almost everyday to get the usual, this time around on 10/19/22. I paid 14$ for a bowl of white rice and this small salmon. After asking the employees if I can get this remade or give me a normal size salmon. I was told that all salmon is portioned out. So I left and never would of though I'd be giving my favorite place a 2 star. Just because they couldn't remake a salmon and give me a decent looking one especially for 14$ that is insane. Don't think I'll be coming back here for a while or ever matter of fact....

It was both gorgeous and delicious!!! Nestled in an Avondale strip mall, this cozy little Japanese place serves up a deep menu of over 60 different sushi rolls, five different kinds of ramen, as well as staple Japanese and Korean entrees like Teriyaki, Bulgogi, and Katsu bowls. The restaurant is pristine: everything in the front of the house was clean and the decor was a balance of both modern and traditional Japanese. Their lunch rush was steady; the dining room was well occupied shortly after opening. And the service was attentive and genuine! This is, hands down, one of the best sushi spots in the area! I will be back!

Unfortunately, I have to change my review. We've been coming here since Sushi Love first opened,…read moreand in the beginning this place was on top of things, the servers were friendly and attentive, and while the kitchen could be a little slow at times, it was never anywhere near as bad as what we experienced today. Here's the timeline from when we arrived to when we finally received everything: 12:10 - Seated 12:20 - Finally able to order drinks and food 12:27 - Received my single sushi roll 12:54 - Guest received his entree 1:04 - Just received our gyoza appetizer It took over 10 minutes after being seated before the waitress even got us water. I was trying to look up other restaurants in the area because we were about to leave. What made this even more confusing was that it was a Sunday right after opening, and the restaurant wasn't even busy. Because the appetizer took so long, I ended up splitting my single sushi roll with my guest so he wouldn't have to sit there hungry while waiting on his food. Even then, it still took over 30 minutes for his entree to arrive, which was ridiculous considering it was just one dish. The most frustrating part was waiting nearly 45 minutes for a single appetizer order of gyoza. We were honestly close to leaving before it ever arrived, and I would have left still hungry. If the appetizer had come out in a reasonable amount of time, I could have actually enjoyed the roll I came there for in its entirety instead of having to split it just so we could get by while waiting. The pacing of the food also made no sense. Appetizers should come out before entrees, not after everything else. Instead, one person was eating while the other sat there waiting, which made the entire experience awkward and frustrating. If the waitress paced things correctly it would have made a huge difference and likely helped prevent the kitchen from getting backed up. On top of that our waitress never apologized for the delays or acknowledged the excessive wait times, not even after we waited over 10 minutes just to get water. She did repeatedly asked if we "needed anything else" while we were still waiting on food. Like, yes, we needed the food we already ordered? Overall, the experience felt extremely disorganized and uncaring from both the service staff and the kitchen. What's especially disappointing is that this wasn't our first bad experience here. This is now the second visit in a row where we've dealt with extremely slow service and a noticeable lack of attentiveness (last time we were there they forgot some food, not only ours but also a table next to us). This place used to be good, which makes the decline even more frustrating, the kitchen needs an overhaul or something. Sushi is good and not as slow but ordering anything from the kitchen or getting drinks is like pulling teeth to get. Sushi Love isn't a huge restaurant, so it's hard to understand how things have become this disorganized. We gave the restaurant another chance hoping things would improve, but this was by far the worst experience we've had here.

I also had a small fly hovering around me while I ate (I was inside). Thinking about this experience a little deeper however (after the bill) changed things for me a bit. Was the food okay? Yes, I think... Was it noteworthy? Not really. The stacks of premade rolls sitting on the counter made me think twice about ever eating here again. I paid around $45 for lunch after tax and tip. I ordered 6 pieces of nigiri, a tempura roll, a small bowl of miso soup, and an iced tea. I don't consider this anything crazy or over the top.
