I chose the Yoga Loft on a whim, but mostly because of how close it was to my house. I had attended my first class at the end of December and ended up choosing Abby's gentle yoga. That class is what led me to stick with the Yoga Loft and continue my practice to now. The environment is very soothing and calming, and puts me at ease the second I walked in. While I haven't had a class with all the instructors, I've had at least one class with majority of them and there isn't one I would not recommend. They're all dedicated, caring, and have their unique quality. I also love the mix of classes -- about a month into attending classes, YL offered a free total body conditioning class. This is now a regular class and one I attended. So now not only am I more relaxed with yoga, I am becoming and feeling stronger with TBC! I can't recommend this studio enough -- and as someone who just started practicing yoga a few months ago, I can assure you this is a safe place to start!

The summer challenge in 2025 encouraged me to get out of my comfort zone and try other studios. Powell quickly went from that studio I tried one time to the studio I go to twice a week every week. This location helped me to expand my workout regimen by offering a wide variety of classes and consistent childcare. Worthington will always be my home base in many ways (big love!!!), but my yoga community has grown and strengthened by opening myself up to new things and new places. I am truly grateful for the wonderful people at this studio.

I was warmly greeted and shown the space…read more It was clear most people there are regulars, but the manager and class instructor did an excellent job of making me feel like a part of the group. I participated in a hot candlelit yoga class and it was hot! The vibes were nice, it seems like pump essential oils through the room so it still smells pleasant even though it is so warm. Also, it was in the evening and was a great mix of stretching, moving, and slowing down at the end of the class. I hope to stop in again!

First time visiting this new Yoga Studio at Worthington Mall. It is located on the north end by the…read moreindoor playground. They have a few different style of classes- gentle, flow, power. I went to the flow class, which was great for beginners or just to get a good stretch and still sweat/ get a slight workout. The Studio was warm, but not hot. The temperature was nice for the class. I had Ali as instructor and I thought she did a nice job with explaining poses and taking us through the flow from pose to pose. I am glad i have a studio so close to my house!

The space is practical in how it's set up and I loved how open it is. So many Pilates / Yoga studios in the area are missing this aspect! I didn't expect the level of intensity to be high but it was a great burn! Katie is great in instructing breath work and the exercises, which I appreciate. The room was quite toasty, about 98-100 degrees F, which was great bc I prefer a class like this. My only critique is that the playlist wasn't my favorite and was a bit sleepy but not a big deal. Overall my experience at Union Yoga Studio is a 10/10! O, also! I forgot to mention that the community here is incredible & diverse!! I was observing the interactions between the other attendees and wanted to call this out. Always a plus to see this.

When I finally had a month without going out of town I signed up for the $10 intro month for new clients. This is such a great deal since each class is $10 plus. You go twice and it paid for itself. The yoga was challenging and the room was hot. I splurged on a thick yoga mat and non slip towel from Amazon so that I was prepared. I signed up for 26 and 2 which is a hot yoga that incorporates 26 poses twice. I went at my own pace. When I felt I needed to sit, I just sat and breathed and did not try to overdo it. I would say that the heat does make you stretch a bit more than without. I did not realize my body could bend the way it did without injuring myself. The feeling afterwards is exhilarating! You start off standing for half the poses and then you get to lay down for the rest. It ends with a breathing exercise and the best part is when she lets you meditate in the dark and hands you an ice cold lavender oil towel. I absolutely love it! I think this is for everyone. There were beginners as well as advanced, while some just layed on their backs for the sauna effect. Pooja is the owner and instructor and her voice is so soothing but still very persuasive to push yourself. Every time I leave the class, I'm at least 10 lbs lighter from sweating. I feel so accomplished like I did something good for my body and my mind. Self care is not Selfish, it's mandatory. When I drive my 25 mns. Back to my house all I can think about is when can I go back? I need to book again.

I have been taking classes at Balancing Owl Yoga for several weeks now. It was recommended to me…read moreby a friend as I mentioned I was looking for online classes. I began taking online classes during COVID as my studio pivoted when they had to shut their physical doors. Upon reopening, I had become used to both online and in person classes. The studio was less than 10 minutes away and VERY convenient. However, they were facing a closing and I'd also found fewer and fewer classes for me to take. At the peak, I was at the studio 5 days a week for classes. By the end, I only had 2 classes a week. I'm an ALL IN membership person. Will pay monthly fees to have full access. So what drew me to B.O.Y. was its online offering. In looking around at local studios, I find VERY FEW have continued to offer virtual classes. Unlike BOY who live streams just about all in studio classes, other studios maybe offer a couple classes a week - despite having LOTS of in person classes. Another thing I appreciate at BOY is the slower, less physical practice. I have an injury and am unable to fully participate in the power yoga I am used to. I also am getting older and have found the need to modify what and how I do yoga. I am finding great success in the gentle, slow and restorative flow - allowing me to really focus on the mindfulness piece and how each movement and breath feels in my body. The times of the classes are pretty good. Ideally, I want a 6 PM start. Most of the BOY classes I attend are 6:30 - still within my wheelhouse that I'll be sure and show up. Which leads me to the big differentiator. BOY offers all virtual class recordings for a 24 hour period following the delivery of the link (within a couple of hours of the class concluding). I MUCH prefer to attend a live class and have found it a challenge to get motivated to watch a recording. I'm a disciplined person when it comes to all other things, but I know when I register for one I'll possibly watch the recording, that there is little chance I'll do it. The friend that referred me thinks quite differently - so she takes advantage of the recordings. This is only the 2nd studio I've tried after moving away from my former home studio. The entry month deal is great and I highly recommend you give it a try if you have any interest in attending their classes. I may or may not return for a full membership. TBD at this point. Definitely need more research before making that decision. Which reminds me, I need to leave a review for the other studio I just tried online!!
