I've been going to this studio for a few months now, and I can honestly say I adore it. There's something special about everything here--the people, the vibe, the instructors, even the little touches like the eucalyptus face towels after hot yoga (truly the best feeling ever). All of the instructors are wonderful, but D'Andre, Crizzle, and Sarah each bring something extra special. Their energy is so uplifting and motivating, and I always leave feeling better both physically and spiritually. D'Andre's and Crizzle's classes are definitely on the more challenging side--in the best way. When I first started, I couldn't get through them without taking long breaks. Now, I'm mostly getting through entire classes without stopping, and it feels amazing to see that growth. Sarah is super fun and full of life, and her TRX class is incredible. I almost don't want to say that because I don't want it to get too packed and risk getting waitlisted! The owner, Rebecca, is also such a sweet presence. You'll often see her taking class right alongside everyone else, always kind and welcoming. Dylan, her brother, is just as warm--kind, accommodating, and genuinely supportive. They also have workshops and retreats, and it always feels like something exciting is happening. More than anything, the studio has this close-knit, family-type community that's hard to find. I love this studio! Very clean. Easy parking. Wonderful staff! Having long-time issues in both knees from BJJ and snowboarding, I find the Slow Flow and Restorative classes perfect to center myself and bring healing movement to my body. Johanna's instruction is superb. She has a clear and calming voice to guide class through movement and posture, all while keeping us motivated through challenging positions. I signed up at this studio with an unlimited membership when it first opened and I was impressed at the time. However I have seen a decline in the instructors over the past few years. There are several who do not demonstrate the poses let alone help you out. There is one instructor in particular who I found really annoying because she likes to talk about herself and constantly makes jokes that are just not funny. I found that I was avoiding her classes because I just don't like this kind of aggravation while I am taking a yoga class. To add insult to injury, to cancel your membership you need to email them "30 days before your next billing". I emailed them 20 days before my next billing and was told that my membership would be canceled 30 days after my next bill. So in practice this means your membership cannot be canceled until 30 days after your next billing. I never did get an email confirmation of my cancelation. They make it easy to sign up but difficult to cancel. Poor customer service. read more

My friend who has a membership here had been trying for the longest time to get me to take a class (1st is free) so I finally gave in! She kept telling me that it was not crowded like other yoga studios; however, not for their 5:30pm "slow flow" class. I was also under the impression that it was not a "hot yoga" class, but the heat was on (more like a warm yoga class) as I feel comfortable around 70 degrees indoors; however, it was tolerable and I did work up a good sweat! I really liked the class and the quality of the instructor but I did not like how small the room was as I felt claustrophobic. I also felt like I had to be careful not to accidentally bump into another yogi. As for pricing, it is way too expensive (starting membership is 4 classes per month for 99.00), but just like everything else these days: inflation! I would come back if they have any specials or if their prices came down for a pop in class here and there; otherwise, the class was pretty much the same as I have at my big box gym. read more

This studio is Unhelpful as it relates to customers service and billing concerns. They won't provide aid to contact customer service or the billing department. I have been a member at different studios on and off for over two years and have never had these types of issues. I had to go out of my way to call a different studio to get access to my receipts to submit to my insurance for membership reimbursement. It just seemed like for whatever reason they didn't want to provide me with the documentation I needed. I had been calling for two days to get a formal receipt and was only provided what looked like screenshots of payments. This is an unacceptable form or proof of payment to provide to insurance for membership reimbursement. The manager Janely is unhelpful. Update: I was able to contact a different employee at the Long Beach studio who was able to provide me with a copy of my receipts with no issues. I'm very disappointed that the manger, Janely lied to me and had me calling other studios, emailing corporate, waiting and wasting all my time to get a copy of my receipts. I know this was intentional and she did not want to be helpful. I'm concerned that she may need more training on how to operate their software and additions customer service training. I'm considering canceling my membership and no longer feel welcomed in the studio, because this simply makes no sense.... maybe it was the intention to make me aware that I am unwelcome. Finally found a studio that seems to care about their clients needs. In a world of hot yoga studios, YogaSix Long Beach offers: hot, warm and NO HEAT classes. True yogis know "you make your own heat" and as someone who is temperature sensitive I appreciate the options so that I can get the best workout possible. I was finally able to push myself in my practice without fear of overheating. On top of the great options the customer service is fantastic. The instructors are top notch (I love Makayla and Sarah), and Lyle at the front desk has been so supportive and always brightens my day. Customer service needs improvement. Lack of communication and call backs and responding to emails. Really wanted to love this place and stick around, but as mentioned lack of air flow, overcrowded without ventilation and at times can smell but more than anything poor customer service. I called and left messages, sent emails, even to corporate with zero response regarding an injury which I'm still in the process of seeking medical attention. I wanted to let them know that I'm unable to continue at this time, but was billed anyways and then finally canceled and unable to be refunded since they could "no longer find me in the system." All I have to say is be aware of what you get yourself into while the texting promotions come along and know what you are committing too and if you do get injured know that it makes no difference. I finally did get to speak to someone who was able to let me know "I'm no longer in their system," and they could not refund me but could extend my visits. I have no desire to go back to this location or any Yoga Six that doesn't care about their client. Just not genuine enough for me. read more

I have tried getting into yoga more than once in my 40 years on this earth. Either the class times weren't right or the price was too high, or the instructor was intimidating. And then I found YogaSix and immediately knew this what I was looking for all along. I love every one of the instructors. The owner greets everybody by name. They put on fun events every month to foster the community of members. They offer 6 different classes and in each class they offer modifications for expert level and beginner level. That's probably my favorite part about their sequences along with the music and fun light changes. Then when you've melted into a puddle of sweat they bring this lovely towel around and fan you. They even have ice cold eucalyptus towels as you exit. That smell like heaven. It's so fancy with a very reasonable price. read more

I enjoyed tonight's Sculpt & Flow class with Sarah as the instructor. She was cool! Easy going and wanted you to do whatever felt good for your body. This class was heated and had music. We lifted weights and used yoga blocks for support. They let you borrow mats and towels if needed. At the end you get a cold eucalyptus towel and it's so rewarding to cool off with a relaxing scent. The pace was great and I definitely can see myself doing more classes at this location. Due to my own hectic scheduling and possible move - I didn't do the membership, but she gave me great options such as a discount for working in healthcare + cancelling the membership for when I possibly move. Hooked on Yoga 6. I've been going regularly for 4 months now. While my favorite class is hot yoga, I have tried most of the others that range from power (tough) to restore (easy). The instructors are great and the Yoga 6 approach is tailored to all skill and fitness levels. They make it easy to try their studio out and see if you like it.
