I just went to Genna's one hour heated workout with weights and blocks and leg bands. OMG it was amazing. She has this awesome way of using every moment to relax and open up the body to get ready to work out, and the workout was really hard, but not too hard with lots of room to add more weight and resistance as I get...super strong n stuff:). To be honest, i'm usually in bed at 7:15am.... I am surprised I was able to pull off this class .... Dare I say I'm even impressed with myself hahaha. I'm for sure gonna go back I've never done that workout. I've only done Bikram with Genna and Coleen so I'm not surprised that I loved it. ALSO.... their Studio is... is the kind of place where a girl can rock a tank top for the first time after a double mastectomy and forget she just had ...a double mastectomy. I'm relatively new to hot yoga but had the best guided yoga practice ever today. Whitney (the Sunday 430p yoga instructor) did an amazing job of motivating and coaching us through the postures to ensure we're getting all the benefits. She remembers people's names and make everyone feel included. Highly recommend going to her sessions. This one was the sunday 430 90-min class. I never did a full class correctly before today. It's been 2 yrs since I've done hot yoga. Your reminder texts & emails are amazing. FINALLY got motivated and today was day 2. Jenna & Colline "talk" community but do nothing to foster it. No happy hours, no holiday events or parties, nothing. Nothing to give back to their loyal members either and nothing for birthdays. Just thoughtless. As a matter of fact the owner Jenna makes fun of and laughs at her students, makes certain gestures with her eyes about other students to her friends in class, and even dates her male students. TWEEDY (likely the dude watering her plants if you catch my drift) gets free towels, free yoga mat, water bottles, and doesn't pay for a membership. She's always massaging him and other dudes in class and calling him out by name for doing good. Disgusting and unprofessional I did a few classes but left after two months of ungrateful owners who are not only unprofessional but also do NOTHING to give back to their members and foster community. read more

As it has always been, the only place I end up to get a great work out, healing my mind / body and enjoy practicing among an incredible group of highly evolved men and women (a wholesome place for everyone! Ever since Colleen opened the studio.) I do not know, how many years it has been. Just this morning at the end of my yoga practice lying down feeling so grateful for her, other instructors, the studio and the practice itself. I was praising her for all these years, she created such space for all of us to walk in, in pieces, off balance at times or physically hurt and walk out solid and together. I've been going to this studio since January 4, 2016 (formally called Bikram Yoga La Jolla) and won't go to any other studio in San Diego! I've been doing Bikram style hot yoga for almost 8 years and this studio is by far my favorite. They have class times that fit in every schedule, the studio is always clean, and from my first day the owner and her daughter have made it a point to remember my name and little things about me. It makes the studio feel like home, which is great because often I head there straight from work! I really can't say enough great things about this studio. It's easy to get to, they have tons of parking (both in the neighborhood and their own secure lot), the price is right (I don't know where else you can get unlimited classes for $130 anymore), and they are always open to suggestions. Since I began with this studio in 2016, Colleen, the owner, has taken great pains to constantly survey her clients and make sure class times work for them. Absolutely in love with this yoga class. Colleen and Genna are both incredible instructors that lead the class in a positive, consistent flow. I've always dabbled in yoga, but never really fell in love until I started coming here! The room is hot, the lighting is gentle, the large windows in the back make the space feel open and free. I'm in from out of town and took the Bikram class, which I regularly do. Faith was a good teacher and the room had very cool bistro lighting. Only problem was there was a guy in the class, in the middle of the room, clearly not there for yoga. Didn't attempt one posture. Was on his cellphone. Keep doing helicopter twists and even practiced his golf swing. Very distracting. Faith did have a chat with him several times, but he didn't leave or stop being a distraction. However, the cold lavender towel at the end was a very nice touch. read more

The drop in price online was a $15 difference than what I was charged in the studio. That aside, I enjoyed the space as well as the class. The lavender towel was my favorite. However, the teacher brought attention to the class that she has been teaching for over 20 years after making the statement that yoga is about the individual and class. I have been going to bikram... for years, have tried all Bikram yoga places in San Diego (yeah I really did!) while they go through transition by adding various classes. Now I'm settled for this place. Here's what distinguish this place from others: - Floor: dry clean vs wet, stinky, moldy carpets at other places - Perfect sized room: some places were too big and I don't feel much energy, or too small I felt rather suffocated in the heat - Clean and friendly studio: you walk in and feel just comfortable and warm welcoming by people there - The place is well maintained and keep improving Now here are what BIKRAM has done to my body and mind - I have become more patience in my daily life; easily can manage stress from work - My mind and brain feel just clean, purified, fresh, etc I don't know how to describe this feeling - I am more relaxed than uptight and try to be perfectionist, flawless, etc - The shape of my body has changed, seeing things I didn't before or start showing things I've never had before (I'm happy about this change!) - Stubborn back pain and sciatica are gone; I used to go to places for chiropractic and aquapuncture paying $80 - $120 per session for 3 years on a regular basis every week, since I started the bikram, I no longer spend my money or time on these!! - Neck and shoulder tightness are no longer my problem as long as I do bikram - I had spider veins on my leg and felt tight around the area, that is now bye-bye - My everyday posture has shifted as my spine is better aligned - My body and mind feel purified, detoxified, healthy, strong, and beautiful! I've never been into the whole fitness class thing (more just going to the gym), but I bought a groupon to give it a try... very curious about breaking a sweat in a very hot room. YogaFuzn has been a game changer in my practice! I'm fairly new to this studio (~3 months), but have been practicing Yoga for years. Previously my practice consisted of Vinyasa and Yin. I came to YogaFuzn to try their Bikram (Hot 26 & 2) class and it was amazing. The HOT class moves slower than Vinyasa and really challenges you to focus and build strength by staying in the postures longer. I'd say the postures in this practice are a blend of restorative and strength/balance builders. The most exciting part of attending this studio is the variety of yoga teachings. I came for the Bikram, but became addicted to the Ashtanga. Ashtanga has really pushed me for upper strength and inversion balances. These classes mixed with the Warm Vinyasa flows and HITT Pilates classes they offer have given me a complete and well rounded yoga practice to help me achieve new limits!! read more

I haven't done Bikram in about three years, so I was so nervous to get back into it. At this studio, they have a shorter 60 min version, so I thought that would be a good way to ease back in. I was running late (dang La Jolla traffic), and in my experience, most studios will love the door at exactly the class time, even if they see you outside of the window. Carey was the instructor today, and she saw me all disheveled and nervous, and told me not to worry. She let me get settled in before locking the door and getting started. There was only one other person in my class (it's a BEAUTIFUL beach day today), so it was almost as if we had our special private class. Carey was great, let us take our time, and was extremely encouraging. It's hot, of course, but that's to be expected in a Bikram class. I personally don't know how I was able to do 90 min classes in the past, because the 60 mins was just right for me. I'll be sure to come back again!! read more

If you're in to warm yoga and Bikram this is the best place in San Diego. I've been coming here for almost for a year on and off. The gym has been renovated and it looks great. As always it's very clean and the decor is very soothing and basic. Colleen and daughter are terrific teachers and also a very supporting and friendly. I'm glad that I found it.
