Great service, great vibe and great amenities. Have gone twice and it's the best. Parking is convenient and everything else

This place is awesome! Such a great concept to have a place that you can do yoga and then go straight to cold plunge and sauna. I like that they have a specific class that's slightly shortened than integrates the cold plunge and sauna. Staff is all really awesome. And so are the instructors. read more

Soul Plunge is the perfect relaxing escape for any busy worker bee. Contrast therapy is my favorite way to wind down, and they also offer wonderful yoga classes and private red light therapy sessions. Whether you're a wellness regular or just looking to recharge, there's something here for everyone to enjoy -- and feel the benefits of :) read more

This is a fun lil yoga plunge studio in the heart of cutie La Jolla. Dropped in for a class but did not budget time correctly. Despite their 5 min grace period, I missed the yoga portion due to trafficy streets + rough parking. That being said, add 15 min or so to your commute and you'll be solid. Upon arrival, the place is peaceful, breezy, and welcoming. I enjoyed my first guided cold plunge and followed it with a sauna. While there's open showers for rinsing, would love a closed shower for the full thing. Overall nice spot with a bit of it all. read more

This has become a regular spot for me multiple days a week. It's perfect recovery and just simply relaxing. Cella at the front is always very helpful! read more

One of my favorite sauna & cold plunge spots in SD! It's by the beach, close to cafes and several local bookstores. I always enjoy coming here for a detox sauna session when I'm feeling sore or just because! read more

Started out doing their cold plunges and breathwork in their side yard in PB. It's great to see that they've expanded to a brick and mortar studio. Took a slow flow + sound healing yoga class on a Sunday- it was divine. There needs to be more of this in the middle of the day. I'd say Sundays at this time is probably a bit troublesome for parking as the La Jolla Open Aire market is down the street at this time, but if you're lucky there are a couple of parking spots in the front. Have yet to try their cold plunge or sauna yet. Will definitely be back again. read more

Such a cute studio! Really enjoyed our yoga class and the sound bath meditation at the end. I'm excited to come back and try other things here! read more

You hear all the craze about breath work and cold plunges, but to experience it yourself truly demonstrates the value and benefit! I've been in healthcare for almost 20yr and from a medical and biological standpoint, it makes sense what breath work and cold plunges/infrared sauna (contrast therapy) can do. I have done multiple modalities of self-care from exercise, sports massage therapy, compression therapy, foam rolling, energy healing, and sound therapy which have all been valuable, but breathwork and cold plunges create an immediate shift in your nervous system to help you reduce inflammation, stress, anxiety and quickly readjust your focus. I've only taken the signature class which is a guided breathwork class followed by a cold plunge and infrared sauna session. I've taken about 5 classes with the owners Mia and Matt, and I found it to be extremely valuable and have always appreciated the energy of the group and the release I've achieved afterwards. Mia and Matt guide you through 3 types of breathing exercises: - Box breathing: traditional yoga-style breathing where you breath in for 4-5 seconds and breath out for 4-5 seconds - 4-7-8 breathing: breathe in for 4 seconds, hold for 7 seconds, and breathe out for 8 seconds - holotropic breathing: rapid breath that they refer to as the "mountain climb" where you take 2 breaths in, 1 breath out, or 1 wave-like breath in, and 1 breath out The holotropic breathing is designed to help you release blocks and facilitate emotional healing, growth, and spiritual exploration. It can be difficult to sustain, and is only done for a short period of time but can cause a "heady" or lightheaded feeling as well as tingling sensation in extremities or other parts of the body. Some may also have other physical responses such as laughing or crying. Depending on the intensity of breathing and duration, every person's experience will vary. They play awesome music that compliments each breathing exercise which really helps you stay focused, especially during the mountain climb :D They also may provide hands-on support, if needed. At one of my session, I was having quite an emotional response, and I appreciated Matt coming to encourage me. Class is in a beautiful room with sound bowls and a lovely starry sky projected above with blankets, yoga bolsters, eye masks, and essential oils to make you comfortable. Bring your own yoga mat and towel otherwise both can be provided for a small fee. Pair the breath work with contrast therapy (cold plunge & infrared sauna) after and you're giving your mind, body and nervous system a complete "reset." The cold plunge can definitely be a shock (that's the point :P), but it's well-worth the benefit! Altogether it will give you a feeling of release, relaxation, and reinvigoration. It can also really help with sleep! Because of the simplicity and guidance that Mia and Matt provide in this class, I've been able to do the breathwork on my own at home, and have the same response. It's definitely not as enjoyable as class since you're in a community and sharing energy with others, but I greatly appreciate having the tools readily available to exercise this at home, if needed. The front desk staff has always been very friendly, and the studio is always well-kept and clean. I do wish the storage space for personal items was a little easier, but understandable given the setup/area. Parking is on the street but generally it hasn't been an issue, although I'm sure it can depend on the day and time (e.g. farmers market). I have asked other members about the other classes and they always have very positive reviews! Mia and Matt have created a very sacred and inviting space for you to discover another path to plunge and realign with your soul. Definitely don't miss out on supporting such an amazing, fabulous small business and wonderful community! read more

Recently I took the plunge and signed up for a membership at Soul Plunge in La Jolla. This a small business at 7463 Girard Ave La Jolla, Ca that has two cold plunge tubs set at 40 degrees, an infrared sauna that is typically set to 165 degrees. and a yoga studio. My first cold plunge experience was in 2023 with my homie Shea at the Seedless Clothing warehouse. It was incredibly difficult at the beginning but I quickly settled in and learned to enjoy it. After jumping out, I felt energized and invigorated. I was instantly hooked! It took me a while to find the right place to get into a cold plunge routine and when I discovered Soul Plunge I was all in! It's located off of Girard tucked behind DG Wills Books. On my first visit I was greeted and given a tour by the super nice and helpful Julia. Julia gave me a few pointers and off I went! After a few visits I fell into a routine of 3 minutes of plunge, 15 minutes of sauna and then 5 minutes of plunge. I always leave that place ready to face the day! This has truly changed my life in that I have learned to relax myself in uncomfortable situations and not only accept but also let go of external stresses. Please give it a try and support local business owners Mia and Matt Heck! read more

Overall, I think the class is very well run! I would say, however, the studio is too cramped. Maybe a bit of over booking the class, people are practicing somewhat on top of each other in some poses. The ambiance was nice, great vibes, and very clean! The staff is also super friendly. I would probably recommend to more experienced yogis who may be more comfortable being really close with people. But if you're someone who really needs your own space this may feel a bit too cramped for you. read more

Mia and Matt the owners and Trish at the front desk are all so friendly! It's very clean and the most beautiful zen space. We moved here from Manhattan beach, CA 2.5 years ago. Great yoga and a beautiful spa. I'm so happy I found this incredible place and community. BEST CHRISTMAS GIFT EVER to be a member at Soul Plunge.
