There are gym/sweat towels and showers available on-site with bath towels as well. There is only one shower in the men's bathroom. I assume the same is true for the women's bathroom. There's also a serious water machine on site that spits out really cold water. Free 2 hour street parking or paid private lot parking. I am usually lucky enough to get a spot out front. The only reason I'm at 4 stars is because they canceled class once and made no attempt to contact me or other members ahead of time. There was just a paper sign on the door saying class had been canceled, without any explanation. Other than that,

I was first introduced when my son was visiting from DC and brought me to a few classes. After he left, I had a choice--go back to doing nothing or keep showing up. I decided to stick with it, and I'm really glad I did. The structure of the workouts makes it easy to stay consistent, and the energy in the room is incredible. What really stands out, though, is the support from the coaches. They make you feel comfortable, push you when you need it, and genuinely want to see you succeed. A big thank you to Gemma, Lorenzo, and Sarah for all the encouragement and support. You've made this a great experience.

I have been exercising and training since the late 90s (not to age myself), and I've worked with 3…read morepersonal trainers, tried every new fitness program from lifting, cardio, circuit training, tabata, CrossFit, HIIT workouts, yoga, cardio, and sports. I've tried all the new circuit classes from Revel Fit, Renegade, OTF, F45, and I guarantee that no one will program or kick your a$$ like Bryan at Versatile Fitness! This is a no-frills, old boxing gym vibe (think OG Rocky) where you come to WORK! Bryan's programming, exercise acumen, and super sets will challenge you, but also be some of the most effective and productive workouts. He has almost every piece of equipment I've seen in a gym from rowers, ropes, barbells, curl bars, pulley systems, sleds, water weights, benches, kettlebells, free weights, Terra core, TRX, bands, discs, and the list goes on. I have attended about 10 classes and I have yet to repeat a workout. It's insane the quality of training and programming you would get through this gym for the price. Anywhere else, it would cost thousands for this level of programming, so anyone who attends these classes is getting a steal of a deal for this type of workout! Classes are 45min, with several stations per class. Each day has a target focus such as pull, push, leg, abs, and/or cardio, depending on the day. The target is there, but you are always getting a decent total body workout. Each station has 2-3 exercises that you do 2 sets per station. You have around 3 people per station, and then you rotate. Bryan goes around to demo each exercise as you move stations, and also has the workouts written on a whiteboard at the front of the room. Bryan will also provide quick corrections, as needed. Please note, in large group class settings, rarely will get you get alot of correction or instruction. It's not feasible to have that much personalized focus in these types of classes. Each class starts with a short warm-up, and a quick cooldown at the end. I have only taken class with Bryan, as he is the staple of this gym. He also has an extensive background with over 20yr of experience and he also offers some nutrition and personalized coaching programs for fat shredding and other fitness goals. This gym is a hidden gem and morning classes are usually full. I am literally perplexed how the afternoon classes are not exploding with members because I have yet to see anyone have the stellar exercise programming and versatility that Versatile Fitness provides. I've seen so many different trainers and attended many gyms, and Bryan's programming is the most innovative and BRUTAL (in the best way), that I've experienced. If you're looking for a serious SWEAT, a great community, and incredible workouts, VF is the spot!

Side note: I appreciate that Bryan the owner places a large focus on finding trainers that are a cultural match for VF. Shregar, Victor, and Mauritzio all bring the energy.

This isn't like a heated class but you will definitely be sweating by the end. We arrived 20 minutes before class began and we're able to enter the building with a pre-generated code. Before the main room with all the machines, you'll find lockers, bathrooms, and water fountains. We stowed our stuff and once doors opened, we quickly went in to claim our spots. If it's your first time, make sure you come early so there's enough time for the instructor to go over the equipment and how the class works. Instead of weights, the equipment relied on tension and it might not seem hard but the workflows have a lot of holding that tension so you really feel the burn. The beginning started off with a lot of abs exercises and then switched to lower body with some upper body stuff. By the end, I could really feel it in my abs and slightly in my legs. Highly recommend trying at least once! Haley was great and kept a fun energy throughout the class!

I can push it hard or go easy depending on what else I'm doing, instructors give clear instructions and alternatives. At this point I'm starting to learn more of the exercises so It's not cognitive overload trying to remember everything at the beginning of the session. They always helped me out, but it feels good to just relax into the workout. So, give this a try and give it a few months. Only wishes are: 1) the mat smell can sometimes be overwhelming, not sure what to do about that. 2) they only offer 5 lbs weights and 10 lb dumbbells on the racks. As a woman (lots of us here!) it would be so much better to have some 7s or 8s because I always have to choose too low or too heavy. 3) No real community, but it's dark and loud so you can't really carry a convo inside. Dark and loud is great for concentrating on the exercise though so it is what it is. The coaches are phenomenal and get me to work harder than I ever would on my own and I am "forced" to do a cardio circuit which is my least fav and also getting easier. Yay renegade. Also, and people have mentioned this in other reviews: everyone is ripped here and I frequently see instructors in my classes so while I'm sure folks do other things too, I think this workout really gets results if you show up and push hard.

She helped me build my technique brick by brick and I attribute any compliments I get regarding my form to her excellent teaching. I love coming here and introducing my friends to lagree. Her energy, encouragement, and music were perfect throughout, fast tempo, upbeat, and exactly the kind of playlist that keeps you motivated. This was also my first time on the MegaPro machines and they did not disappoint. The workout was so good that my wife and I actually came back the next day for a regular class and it was just as fantastic. If I lived closer, this would absolutely be my home studio. Carol and Lagree Lounge are 10 out of 10. Highly recommend for both beginners and experienced Lagree lovers.

The gym was complete with all of the standard equipment, well designed and a sufficient amount of space. Coach Sam did a fantastic job leading the class. He started with a warmup that intentionally included stretching and movements that we would be using in the workout. In addition, we went through all of the scaling options for some of the movements which really helped me know where I was before starting the WOD. Sam was very attentive encouraging me, making sure I had all of the equipment I needed and that I understood the workout. Incidentally he does this for everyone and not just because I looked lost. The workout was challenging yet doable (looking at scaling options really helps) so I was able to get through without killing myself. The members of the class were very friendly, (it was a pretty full class for 6:00 AM) encouraging me throughout the WOD and congratulating me when it was over. Admittedly, it's a vibe. However, these concepts have you starting on the tread and switching off to the bench anywhere from 2-3 times. I feel like you do not get the ultimate benefit of either. The weight segment is also super ineffective, incorporating "compound" moves for basically everything with upwards of 5-7 different exercises for a max of MAYBE 2 sets. I get why people love this concept because it's hard to stay motivated with the same boring workout. Plus, these workouts will undoubtedly have you feeling sore, this feedback being what people thrive off of, because sore muscles=growth, right? WRONG, as you absolutely SHOULD NOT feel sore after every single workout. In terms of progress, you will quickly flat line with the lack of consistency due to all the randomness. However, people have different goals and exercise is better than none, I mean, if you can afford it!

There is plenty of retail parking on the first level of the parking garage as well as ample street parking. The studio is clean and has bathrooms, showers, high-end personal care products (lotions, soaps, feminine care products) and offers free towels to use during the workout. The studio is spacious and has treadmills + benches with weights and bands in each space plus extra weights along the wall you can grab for heavier lifting. Another thing I really love about the treads is the ability to do sled pulls and parachute runs...haven't found another studio in SD that has them! The trainers are motivating, the music playlists are curated to really pump you up and the workouts are 50 min - it's effective, efficient and you get a total full body workout and a balance of strength training and cardio w/ the option to double up on weights. I took advantage of the special they had for March for $196/month for unlimited classes (normally $300/month). I have been averaging going 3-4x/week so the value is there and this promotion was a really good deal! Can't wait for my next class!
