I'm almost 50 and hadn't really focused on fitness for a long time. Walking into a gym can be intimidating at this stage, but that hasn't been my experience at F45 Training at all. I was first introduced when my son was visiting from DC and brought me to a few classes. After he left, I had a choice--go back to doing nothing or keep showing up. I decided to stick with it, and I'm really glad I did. The structure of the workouts makes it easy to stay consistent, and the energy in the room is incredible. What really stands out, though, is the support from the coaches. They make you feel comfortable, push you when you need it, and genuinely want to see you succeed. A big thank you to Gemma, Lorenzo, and Sarah for all the encouragement and support. You've made this a great experience. read more

Stopped by here with my passport membership and had a great experience! Coach Lindsay was energetic and encouraging. The class was a manageable size at 9am so it didn't feel too crowded. This gym provides chilled eucalyptus towels at the end of class which makes for the perfect cooldown! Stop by for a quick workout, you won't regret it! read more

I'm sure it's an acceptable gym. But the vibe was ruined by their staff before I ever stepped foot inside. After signing up for a promo, then 24 hours later had to make an emergency trip to another state to deal with hurricane damage on my house. I continued to recieve calls, emails, and nonstop texts. When finally answered the phone and I told the staff member that, her voice went from an initially high-pitched and overly nice to a quiet "okkkkk"... and then she hung up on me. I'm still out of state and had planned to come back next week to check the place out. Not anymore. This location is off my list. In an age where tech makes follow-up so easy, if your human staff can't show basic empathy or understanding when talking to a person on the other end, hard pass. Plenty of other options out there. read more

The studio is spacious, set up in a rectangle format big enough for 20-25 members. The lobby is way bigger than it needs to be, which somewhat takes away from more space for members. There are gym/sweat towels and showers available on-site with bath towels as well. There is only one shower in the men's bathroom. I assume the same is true for the women's bathroom. There's also a serious water machine on site that spits out really cold water. Free 2 hour street parking or paid private lot parking. I am usually lucky enough to get a spot out front. The only reason I'm at 4 stars is because they canceled class once and made no attempt to contact me or other members ahead of time. There was just a paper sign on the door saying class had been canceled, without any explanation. Other than that, read more

Genuinely the best F45 location in San Diego. My relationship with F45 was rather odd - I joined Renaissance location ..... 2 days before they permanently shut down. Not sure how the system allowed me to purchase the pass, but that's whole other story. Then I decided to check out Hillcrest location - had an absolute disaster of the experience with them signing me up for a contract without my consent. My last option was to try out La Jolla studio. Honestly, I had very low expectations but decided to try it out and so happy I did. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by studio manager, Shea, who took her time during my first class to fix my form and she was nothing but kind the entire interaction. Prior to class starting, she showed me the studio, gave quick run down and made me feel comfortable right off the bat. Honestly, I signed up mainly because of her but shortly after discovered that the whole studio is filled with kind, fun and passionate coaches - Lydia, Justin, Pearl and Nick are hands down amazing. If you are on the fence whether or not to join the studio, I encourage you to check them out to see for yourself how supporting and genuinely wholesome this location is. read more

This place is amazing. I've been to another F45 and it's not comparable how clean this place is. I love the energy. Definetly you should try it and you'll keep going back. read more

I've been a part of the F45 Fam for over 4 years now and I still can't get enough of it. I usually attend the 6:30am class and the coaches are the absolute best. DON'T DO IT IF YOU DO NOT TO BE CHALLENGED. I took my first HIIT class ever yesterday because I heard many great things about HIIT workouts, so I finally decided to give it a chance. Not going to lie, I was a little scared that I wouldn't be able to handle it. Luckily, my instructor was extremely nice and made sure I was pushing myself at a good level. He was very tentative and made sure I was doing the exercises correctly. I also like that you get to work out with a partner and rotate to different stations because you guys can try to push each to work out even harder. Even though this is my first time doing HIIT, it's definitely not going to be my last! read more

F45 La Jolla maintains a friendly, serious facility for physical training. Evan and his crew are very knowledgeable and helpful in helping design and coach workout routines. They also now carry some delicious organic snacks called Rickaroons, which can really hit the spot before/after the staff puts you through a grueling workout. read more

Beautiful studio with amazing coaches who are super upbeat, positive, and encouraging! Shea's energy made this such a great workout while visiting San Diego. Definitely recommend checking out this studio!! read more

Probably my favorite bootcamp class in San Diego. Everyone is really friendly. Love the monitors that show each workout so that I'm reminded of proper forms. The alkaline water is delicious. Music selection is spot-on (mostly). Everything is clean and organized. This is how a bootcamp should operate. Would come back. read more

I finally found a fitness routine that fits my lifestyle. F45 transformed my body and pushes me everyday to be a better version of me. I am not one to stick to a workout routine cause I get bored so easily but F45 has short workouts and everyday is a different routine- from cardio to weights. The music is awesome. The trainers are awesome. Everything about this place is awesome. They also offer challenges with all the tools you need to succeed and accomplish your weight loss goals. read more

My husband & I joined two months ago & we are loving it. It makes the decision to get an all-body work out really simple - all we have to do is turn up & the 45 minute sessions works every muscle group. I thought 45 mins would seem too long, but it goes really quickly with the change up of each workout pod & music. Highly recommend. read more

F45 La Jolla was one of the BEST places I've ever worked out in. I just moved away and sadly had to stop attending. I wanted to write though and just say how amazing this studio is. Sometimes you go to studios and the classes are good but the trainers are horrible, or vice versa. I've got to say that this particular studio has the best of both worlds. All the trainers are amazing. They are informative, high energy (which is HUGE in my books for getting through a gnarly workout), motivational and push you as far as you are comfortable! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Miss you guys!! Stay safe :) read more

Interesting gym. I needed a couple gyms to go to off of ClassPass in La Jolla, San Diego, CA. I found a yoga gym and the F45 gym. I think that is a good combination. Here, I did their version of HIIT circuit training. They have their own equipment. I asked if it was custom made and she said that F45 is a franchise. You run the franchise and they provide the equipment, which includes kettlebells, dumbbells, and whatever else. I have done most of these exercises training in SF. I think it is a good workout. You still need to get some cardio in by swimming or running. Challenge yourself with various weights. It's circuit definitely and you look at a video screen with the exercise stations. It would be hard to remember. They give you a run through at the beginning. It's 45 minutes, but that feels like a long time. I had to leave early to get out to the cove for kayaking today. Jason was helpful and it's worth it off ClassPass. It's in La Jolla, so it's more polished. read more

I know this sounds super cliche but this gym and the community itself changed my life completely. I've been going to F45 in La Jolla for over a year now and I can proudly call this gym my home and the members and coaches my family. Before F45 I had zero accountability, I lacked the knowledge, skill, form and most importantly the confidence to go to the gym by myself and crush workouts. I was at first apprehensive about the class based structure of the gym. F45 is unlike anything I had experience prior. No egos. No asshole gym rats. Nothing but friendly competition and trainers to help push you when you feel like you're about to give up. There are no mirrors and you're so busy focused on what you're doing that you don't have time to look at anyone else. The classes are super challenging yet efficient. It's a 45 minute work out designed to leave you dripping in sweat and gasping for air. They are structured so you burn as many calories as possible in the least amount of time. The trainers and monitors at the front of the room show you the exercises/stations for each pod so always know exactly what you're doing. This gym is a sacred gym and I highly recommend it to anyone. These other F45's don't have shit on the La Jolla crew!!!!!! read more

Super challenging and intense workout. I loved everything about it- from the two helpful instructors, Jonny and Stephanie, to the high energy music, to the different themed workouts. Even cold eucalyptus towels after class! The people taking the class were also very encouraging and helpful. I signed up for a one week pass because I'm just visiting, and once I went, I was hooked and looked forward to going every day I could before leaving! I highly recommend this gym if you want to get in a challenging workout in only 45 minutes. Please bring these gyms to Phoenix!!! See you next summer! read more

I have been working out at F45 La Jolla for the past year! I absolutely love everything about it. It's practical, it feels like you have a personal trainer every single time U go, trainers are loving and on top of their games, I could recommend it all day long! It's only 45 mins and it's in and out! 45 mins of joy, all fun classes with the most exciting music, never thought I could find a gym that I'm having fun while working out! I always hated gyms and absolutely love F45! Cheers! read more

I love F45. The staff is high energy and amazing, The workouts are some of the best in the industry. I feel like you get a lot done, but never get bored. On May 1st I walked into a new gym with the mindset that I needed something different to get me back into shape. What I found was much more! F45 La Jolla has changed both my body and mind. Such a fun workout, great space, great people! Very clean and I love the eucalyptus towels! Conor is an excellent instructor!

Clean gym, friendly staff, great workout, convenient location. I will definitely be back.

I absolutely love F45! I'm on the one week trial right now and I'm planning on going every single day this week. I had no idea they were open for so long and had such a great community built in. I've been addressed by name and really welcomed every time I've been in there. The workouts are HARD. They've left me more sore than most other workouts I go to. The best thing is that you are constantly switching what you are doing in the circuit that the time just flies by. You never get bored or even too tired to take on the next challenge. The best part of all of it is that you never get down on yourself or think that anything is too difficult... because you really can do anything for just 30 seconds or a minute! The equipment is great - a lot of stuff I have seen before but a lot of new things that I'd love to learn about more. Depending on the day, you're rotating between stations, sometimes less than 10 for more rounds or sometimes more for less rounds. You don't get a lot of break time, so use your water break wisely and definitely hydrate before you go in. Usually M, W, F are more cardio days (the hardest for me), and the other ones are strength (which makes it hard to get out of bed in the morning....). I'm really pushed by the instructors, and they're always around to give you a high five and let you know that you can do it! The one thing that I would say is that they don't provide a space or time to stretch after class, and I think that's the main reason I've been so sore. I probably should stretch a little on my own, but I do love it when classes have that build in time. Also, sometimes I feel like I'm doing one of the exercises wrong, and the time is too short to ask for help or get corrected! Sometimes I'm scared I'm going to hurt my back when really I should be working out my abs, etc. Overall, I'm so excited to finish out my week and keep returning to F45!! Highly recommend if you want to be pushed to the limit and get in shape. read more

This is THE BEST GYM AND STAFF I have ever seen or experienced in a long time! In some classes, they have 3 instructors on the floor pushing and motivating members !!! Not one, but up to THREE instructors with fantastic genuine and caring attitudes! WOW! The gym is super clean and organized. The music and video screen visuals are awesome too! I Just go there in person and see the gym and classes for yourself, talk to Evan or Alicia, you will be immediately impressed! Good luck and Thank you, Alicia, Evan and the rest of great Australian ( Kiwi and American) staff! Best regards and wishes, Reza Badei, La Jolla, CA read more

So I was traveling through For a couple of days and wanted to get a good work out in, I've seen articles about these gyms so I figured I'd try it out. The gym is very clean and the first thing you will notice is the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Straight away they helped me know exactly how it works and introduced me to everyone, the gym has a whole bunch of people working out at the same time all motivating and pushing each other at the same time, it's probably the best atmosphere I've felt in a gym before. I pushed my self extremely hard from all the encouragement from everyone and honestly say made a few good friends from just a few visits. It's worth the money just for the atmosphere let alone the great workout you get. read more

My new fav workout! High intensity circuit training where you stay in each station for 45 seconds and move to the next. Perfect for the ones that get bored easily working out bc this workout keeps you interested! It's only 45 min long and you get an amazing, challenging, fun workout! read more

I've been a member at more then one f45, so its good to see what the differences are at each location. I like this location, its convenient and I always find parking easily in front on the street. The gym is pretty clean and organized. The workouts are good, but can get repetitive. I especially love Tuesdays and Thursdays for toning. The other days are great for people trying to lose weight. The staff is all very nice. The only suggestion I have is for the trainers to help more during class. A lot of times they stand around talking to each other instead of helping or correcting people in class. My favorite is Conor's class. He is probably the best one at helping and correcting people doing weights. Also, the best part is the classes are only 45 minutes. You are in and out. Its great for busy people without a lot of time. read more

A quick high intensity workout! Great for experienced folks looking to switch things up. Your whole body will feel it the next day! The F45 workout is one of the best I have ever witnessed. It keeps my body in check and it is a part of my lifestyle. Since, I moved to San Diego, I have been going for almost 3 months now, every day with rest days in between. The trainers are a motivating group, function as a family and help modify movements that suit your needs. No workout is the same, which is great! That being said, the atmosphere and vibe are probably the reasons why everyone I've met at F45 is so hooked on to it. I can see myself getting into shape more and more everyday and have started to make better lifestyle decisions as a result thereof. If you live near La Jolla, this is a must try and they have several other branches across San Diego, for those of you who live near Sorrento Valley, Del Mar, Downtown etc. Everything about the F45 La Jolla unit is exemplary. read more

Luke and Evan are very very good gents who genuinely care about there members and want to see positive results. They have a passion for what they do and it shows. The turn out for their grand opening was amazing and it's because they are lovable guys and people gravitate towards them. I don't like working out however the program with short intervals gets your body going and you burn the calories (fit bit proven). This unique style of conditioning paired with good coaches will do very well in this work out saturated pocket! Get it guys ! read more

My favorite place to train. Friendly coaches / staff, make the environment super fun and motivating. Every day's workout is different and they are constantly updating / changing the routines. I have given this gym 2 chances. The last time I canceled my membership, and I have emails to show the cancelation and I just now got a letter from collections because they couldn't afford to stay open during this hard time for everyone. They are soo money hungry especially since LIFE Time opened in the neighborhood which is a bit cheaper then them but offers sooo much more, came into play that they are sending past customers to collections without any care for this situation. Right is right and wrong is wrong this is wrong. It's just gotten pathetic now. Awful management and not clean equipment, something is always broken and the trainer talk trash about each other to you as you workout... very motivating. read more

Awesome facility, supportive staff, and really fun patrons. Everything you want from a workout!

45 minutes of dedicated training is all you need to make your dreams come true! Evan and Luke have done a great job of bringing this popular workout to the La Jolla village. In a community that some would say is oversaturated with gyms, F45 stands out as a refreshing circuit training experience. If you're into cardio checkout Firestarter and if you love to lift, like me, Romans will be your jam! Pro tip: parking can be tricky in the village, make sure to give yourselves ample time so you don't miss the warm up! Also, don't be scared to ask for help from the coaches, no shame in that game, boo! read more

I've never had such a fulfilling, moist, amazing workout in my life until I trained at F45 in La Jolla. fast paced HIIT style of training really... HITS (see what I did there?) your muscles hard and gives you a pump that's going to have your muscles feeling and looking like The Rock in the Fast and Furious. And if that wasn't enough, the hot Australian coaches/owners there serenade you with their accents to push you to unsurmountable levels of blood flow to every inch of your body... Or centimeters because they use the metric system over there. Highly recommend to anyone looking to change their lives both physically and romantically, especially if you're into dudes with Nickolodeon tattoos on their body. read more

The workouts are really good, but it's a franchise and the workouts are the same at any location.. I would recommend other locations, just not this one! It used to be such a great place to workout but then over the last 6 months it just really started going down hill. The equipment wasn't cleaned, there wasn't toilet paper or soap in the restroom, the floor had wads of hair all over the place, the water fountain was broken etc etc.. Not entirely sure that it was ever cleaned. For $200+/mo, I'd expect more! The cleanliness was my biggest issue but I would also advice that if you join or are a member already, watch your credit card statements. I had to call my credit card company multiple times to report unauthorized charges. Especially if you put your membership on hold. It's supposed to be a one time charge of $20 and they were charging me every week. They also aren't the best at keeping their word. When I signed up they toted about being "not like other gyms" and if I wanted to cancel I would be able to for no charge, no questions etc. When the filth got to be too much I emailed to cancel and they told me I'd have to pay a fee. I argued and they finally agreed to not charge me, but only after I told them I'd be using the two weeks they were forcing on me to recruit members to other F45 locations. I'm giving them 1 star for how the gym is run...but in fairness F45 is a great program and you will get results....There are multiple locations popping up all around San Diego, I'd recommend them, just not F45 training La Jolla. read more
