The playlist was amazing but the music was too loud. It's hard to hear the instructor when there's loud music playing. Haley checked in on me and other students regularly to make sure we were all doing ok. She encouraged us to do the best we can. For a cold Friday evening, the class was full which is amazing. The studio is clean and has plenty of room to lock up your stuff. They have those code based lockers. They have two restrooms and a shower. They provide with hair ties, spray deos and dry shampoo to refresh after the workout. There's also a water filling station to refill your bottles which is a nice sustainable touch.

My friend and I purchased Passport to Prana, and Lotus Yoga Centre was a participating studio. The…read morewebsite was very informative and the yoga class had a detailed description of the class, as well as a biography about the instructor that was leading it for that morning. I have never practiced kundalini yoga before, so this was a great treat to an early morning. The pictures from the site reflected the space, it was tidy, and clean. The studio had yoga mats, blankets, and pillows for participants to use for free. Shivalee was the instructor for my class, she was very descriptive in all the moves and it was a very smooth transition from one move to another. The class itself was an hour and a half. The location is very accessible by the spadina streetcar and it is walkable from the spadina subway station (about a 10 minute walk). Although I had a great time, this type of yoga is definitely not for me, but when I do purchase the passport to prana again next year, I will make sure to come back again.

I come here regularly for various yoga classes, such as vinyasa flow, hot yoga, etc…read more I recommend bringing your own yoga mat otherwise they charge you $3 for rental. The staff are always friendly and they provide complimentary water and tea and a comfortable seating area if you want to lounge before or after your classes. The change room is also clean. I believe they have two rooms at this location. One for hot yoga and one for regular. The instructors are also very good. I've had no issues with booking online through the website as well as adjusting my membership status and taking advantage of their promotions. If you have any questions or get confused, I highly recommend that you call the studio or ask it in person.

The class with ghazal tahari was ok. It felt like humid yoga as opposed to hot. The studio wasn't…read morehot enough. I've done hot yoga before and I'm usually sweating at the end of the class. And at this studio, I didn't break a sweat. The instructor was giving too many instructions. It was hard to keep up with her. She didn't hold the poses for long either. She did give breaks to sip water which was nice. Be careful that not all lockers in the restroom lock properly. The herbal tea is a nice touch. In the class pass instructions and the email yoga tree sends, it isn't mentioned that borrowing a mat is $2. So be aware of that too prior going to class here. I'll skip this spot.

This is a review for their smoothies and seating area…read more I was craving something refreshing like a smoothie so I decided to come here. The Lagree Shake caught my eye because the ingredients sounded so good and I'm so happy that I tried it because it was amazing. The smoothie itself was very nutty from the cashew butter. I decided to remove the creatine because I didn't want to consume it. The cashier was able to move the creatine from my smoothie to my boyfriend's smoothie. I also tried a bit of the immuno berry smoothie. Taste wise it wasn't that great but I'm sure the benefits are good. There's some seating with some outlets if you want to do some work and also some barstools to sit at as well. There's also a water filling station and a fridge filled with juice, chia pudding, and light bites like falafel. Hopefully, I can come back for this smoothie!

Lovely, albiet little, studio tucked beside the spa at the Ritz…read more My girlfriends and I took a Weekend mid-morning Yin. There was only the three of us and one other participant. The class itself was ok, I prefer a different style of teaching but it is only personal preference. Good props, little scented eye pillows and round mats. Being that it is the Ritz, the check in staff and spa staff were incredible. After class the girls and I used the pool and hottub for an hour or so without interruption. Nice treat! (extra star for this for sure) If I lived at the Ritz (dreams !!) or was visiting, or worked here even I would definitely be a regular. The one teacher Alex, I have heard is really good.

This is the first studio I've been to that supplies round yoga mats for student use. I really liked…read morethese because they ensure adequate personal space for poses and they also make it easier to adjust your stance without going off the mat. I took the Hatha class with Reena on Friday afternoon; it was very relaxed and I loved that the maximum number of students for this studio is only around 6 people! The natural light and spa location make this tranquil setting ideal for unwinding at the end of a long day. Even though I was not a guest of the hotel, the staff here personally escorted me to the location to ensure I wouldn't get lost (the spa location is a bit tricky to find). Overall I found the class to be pretty straightforward and Reena provided several adjustments throughout the class. This studio also has props for student use. If you're in the area I'd definitely recommend this class if you can make it several times a week; anything less gets very pricey though. The change rooms and washrooms are very luxurious - there are private lockers and plenty of space. I'm not sure if Passport to Prana members can use the gym facilities, but take advantage of that if you can. The entire gym and spa area is gorgeous! My only regret here is that I didn't take photos. There were only 2 other people participating in the class so it was hard to sneak a few ;-)

this is definitely my favorite Pilate studio in downtown Toronto. I've tried all reformer Pilates…read morestudios within the downtown core and some on the west end and I'd have to say MMC is truly the best in turns of hospitality , professionalism, convenience and cleanness of the studio all staff and instructors are very welcoming and warm, the classes there are really designed to help you grow lean muscles while helping you with your postures the instructors are truly amazing that if you've never done reformer Pilates before, this studio will set the standard for you so high (in terms of customer care & studio experience)that you'll notice the difference in trying other studios immediately after going throw all sorts of studios I find myself leaning towards spending more time in MMC.

I love nothing more than a brand new yoga studio that is clean and pretty! I've tried two classes…read morehere so far and there were about less than 10 people. The classes are hard imo because the instructors were demonstrating some challenging poses that I've never seen before in other yoga classes I've tried. There were definitely people struggling in class. The prices are pretty steep coming close to $40 if you're just buying one class.. I would love to be a regular because these classes are definitely a workout and it is located conveniently near me but I wish I didn't have to break the bank lol

What a gorgeous studio! The entire space from the entry, to the front desk, to the locker room, to…read morethe studio was very bright when I visited during the day. The Manifest studio is massive, and didn't have a mirror - which I prefer! It also has a beautiful view of the ROM. The high domed ceiling is a gentler experience to the more common exposed concrete and wires you see in many spaces nowadays. The reduced heat class had the right amount of heat - hot enough I was sweating, but not so much I was slipping off the mat, or felt overheated. That will of course depend if you are doing a power vinyasa flow or more static class. I did Queenie's class, which I enjoyed, but I have done her class many times before at other studios. Cymetree seems to be choosing from the Yogatree teachers (which the owners also operate) whom are always professional. You might just need to find a teacher and class that matches your vibe. The locker room has new digital locks. It also has a nice natural lotion, which is necessary for me after a hot yoga class. The front desk staff were lovely. My only suggestion would be to put a bench where the shoes are, since I can sometimes barely stand after a hot yoga class. Will be back soon!

The thing I love about BeHot Yoga is definitely the variety. Not only do they offer a bunch of…read moredifferent classes ranging from Vinyasa, Original Hot Yoga, Pilates/HIIT, and then everything in between. There's classes with music to guide the practice and those without. Then there's all the different instructors who bring their own flair to each class and I honestly love this. This is the part that can't be replicated. The quality of the classes is great. Instructors, even with larger classes, will have an eye out and verbally guide you to correct poses. My ultimate recommendation is to try a different class each time to see what works best for you and aligns with your fitness goals. The main hot yoga room is actually quite hot and you need to ensure that you're hydrated before, during and after class. This is not for the faint of heart but you'll feel reborn afterwards. I am not flexible by any means, but I find that the heat gives me a better workout and allows me to extend/be more flexible. In terms of supplies, there are mats and towels to rent, but if you're in it for the long haul you'll need a yoga mat, long towel to place on your mat, small towel to mop up all that sweat and a water bottle. You can clean and hang your mat in the back to dry after a class near the woman's change room. In terms of attire, I usually wear yoga pants and a light top but the majority opt for shorts and sports bras (for women) because of how hot it is. Feel free to wear what you're comfortable with. You can always lay in Shavasana if it gets to be too much. There is a change room for each gender, toilets and showers. Small valuables can be placed in teeny tiny lockers big enough to fit your phone and wallet (they provide keys). There's a communal area to hang your jackets and shoe racks for shoes. If you're looking to work off some pandemic pounds or just trying to be healthier, then definitely try them out. I used the $75 for 5 classes intro offer for new customers (caveat: expires in a month so be sure to use it) and will definitely be coming back!

Feeling very urban and brave for having slept at my boyfriend's condo in Toronto's West End, I…read morechose this morning to venture further out of my comfort level and actually tried a different yoga studio. Now, there is a marked difference between the people living in midtown Toronto (myself not included since I am a Winnipeg girl at heart) and those living in the West End; that is, the denizens of midtown make lots of money, prance around in designer clothing and flashy sports-cars and probably live outside their means, whereas West-enders have recently begun to earn money, walk around looking like paupers, and probably live beneath their means. Now what does this have to do with yoga? Well being from the midtown, I was afraid the West End Yogis would smell the stink of St. Clair on me and resent my presence. But Yoga Space is a relaxing environment, with friendly staff and a very yogi clientele. Everyone is welcoming, or at least leaves you alone. For the most part, the instructors are good, but the classes are often taught by students since it is a yoga school as well. The best part about Yoga Space though are the calming efforts the teachers make to relax you into your final pose -- Savasana -. Each end to the class is different, anything from bean-bags on your eyes to a foot rub to a eucalyptus scented blanket is used to let you close your practise in complete comfort. Yogi or not, one thing is certain, no Good Life gym under the Sun would offer you that kind of treatment at the end of a workout.
