I arrived at this retreat tired in a way a long weekend doesn't fix, and I left with something more…read moreuseful than rest: a practice I can keep. The program is built on Ayurvedic principles, and what impressed me most was how deliberately the pieces connected, from meals designed around how my body actually works, to yoga paced to meet me where I was, to spiritual healing sessions that gave me room to slow down and listen. Nothing felt generic or performed; the teachers explained the reasoning behind each practice, and that is what earned my trust. A week later, I'm still using the simple routines I brought home. If you're looking for a reset that lasts beyond the drive home, I recommend it without hesitation.

Mountain Retreat: A Journey of Transformation…read more After returning home, I found myself grappling with the changes and tools I had brought with me. For about a year, I had been expressing my desire to attend a silent retreat. However, everyone I knew dismissed the idea, warning me that I wouldn't survive. As an extrovert and empath, I had reached a point of exhaustion that often led to deep depression. I realized that the only way to overcome this overwhelming feeling was to find true stillness. This is where Deepak's knowledge, life experiences, and the incredible place he has created come into play. After four nights and three days of focused self-care, I felt a renewed sense of vitality and the ability to navigate the chaotic world once again. Between sessions of breathwork, yoga, meditation, and sound healing, I was nourished by the most incredible meals prepared by Joselyn. Her organic and vegan cuisine was out of this world, reminiscent of dining at a Michelin-starred vegan restaurant. The 260 acres of the retreat transformed into my sanctuary. Sitting under the majestic Gaint Oak tree named Judith in the morning, sipping tea and surrounded by at least 20 woodpeckers, was a perfect start to my day. Ducks glided gracefully across the pond, and a visit from a mother deer and her baby filled my heart with joy. During a tour of the property, I was amazed to learn that Deepak had partnered with an organization to plant 150 trees and create a pollinators garden. This dream project was a testament to his commitment to making a positive impact. This retreat is more than just a high-end, luxurious getaway. If that's what you're seeking, look elsewhere. However, if you're looking for a transformative experience that will change your life, book your stay at Mountain Retreat now!

Inside the wellness center is a large room that they use for fitness classes (zumba, chair class, pound, ect) as well as a gym on the second floor. Outside also has a gym area (covered and on the second floor) so you can exercise inside or outside if you prefer. There is both cardio and weight lifting equipment available. Everything is well maintained. The best part about this facility though is the outdoor pool. There is a large swimming pool with both lanes for laps (about 8 lanes I think) and a very large shallow end perfect for water aerobics. The pool is heated and available all year round, and is salt-based I believe. There is also a second pool called the "therapy pool" that is heated to around 90 degrees and is perfect for people with arthritis, fibromyalgia, ect. It's always clean and the patrons are very friendly. Outdoors has a shower and locker room available for both genders. I also want to note this facility is 100% accessible. There are ramps and elevators to get to the second floor. Also available is assistive machines to get into the pool. The wellness center offers both daily passes as well as memberships. Discounts are available for Medicare holders.
