    After driving to Visalia to visit family I decided I needed to stretch and relax my muscles a bit. The front area of the studio is a small boutique with lovely items like: clothing, soaps, jewelry, candles,etc. I took the Restorative Zen with Jen class with a drop in rate of $15. She was very good at guiding the small class through poses and setting a tone that was peaceful and calm. She did adjustments that helped me get deeper into some moves. I left feeling more composed and loosened up than when I had arrived. Two things that made it a bit of a challenge to totally be immersed in the class were: 1- The chime for the front door went off each time it opened and closed which seemed hard to do because many clients had to slam the door shut. 2. I could hear the instructor from the class next door which was a distraction. Overall, I will be back whenever I am in town because we all can use some tranquility in our lives.

    (Be warned if you don't cancel within 5 hours of class your payment is taken and you won't get it back.) Christine is self absorbed business women. Their are great teachers their in the studio so I'm not giving this review to all the teachers. If you are a community leader and teacher if you have not payed for Christine's 200 yoga teacher training class your teachings of self evolution are valueless to her. Tread carefully is like being in high school with the preps.

    Great yogis! Very welcoming for all levels and offer variety of classes, including "warm" yoga if hot is too much.

    Nice vibe, peaceful, great teachers. I've been to different classes here-hot yoga, warm yoga, vinyasa, full moon. They are all wonderful

    The Pilates class was fun and upbeat. The instructor was very knowledgeable and made sure to focus on form to prevent injury.

    I love this studio! I am more of a beginner Yogi and hardly get to practice. But I always feel comfortable when I do attend a class.

    Always a great re-set. Helps keep me balanced and grounded. With a great challenge to see how flexible I can be as a bonus.

    I first started attending The Bar Method the end of January and I have so many things to say…read more Barre is a workout that is low-impact, high-intensity inspired by ballet, yoga, and Pilates. You build muscular endurance and strength through small, controlled movements and high repetitions The Bar Method Fresno offers a few types of classes from what I've seen: Bar Method, Bar Method Express, Bar Method Cardio Express, & Bar Strength Express. I signed up as a first time client with an intro offer they had going. $78 for 13 classes. I typically take the regular Bar Method or Bar Method express classes. Love the environment. The cues are extremely helpful and clear and all the instructors have been knowledgeable and correct you without making you feel so singled out. If you need child care they do offer child care during classes so definitely ask about that. All in all if you're looking to switch things up and open to taking a workout class I'd definitely recommend.

    9/30/2025: I've enjoyed my first six months at the Bar Method. Each teacher seems to have their…read morespecialty which makes it nice to try everyone's classes. Because of my work schedule, I rarely make anything but the weekday lunchtime classes at 12noon which are the Express classes. I personally prefer the hour long, slower paced classes, but work prevents me from attending those. I've noticed that other than a few teachers, many start late and go later than 45 mins during the week, which is a challenge for many. I see as many as 50% of the class students leave to get back to work before class is finished. This could be handled I think if all classes started and ended on time? Cat seems to be on time every class I have taken. For my experience as a 62 year old overweight woman with multiple past injuries, my needs are different than probably someone who is 20-50 years old. That said, for my purposes, Cat has been the most proactive in helping me get acclimated, helping me with workout modifications and if something is hurting, helping me work around it. Today, I told her I had hurt myself in another class and she showed me a modification that really helped and prevented more pain. I got my on time 45 mins workout and was home on time. I will mention some of the benefits of the other teachers: Lisa - the hardest classes by far. She will straight up tell you this is going to be hard and it's going to be 50+ minutes instead of 45 mins. BELIEVE HER! Fine for a Saturday which is the only time I have had to take her class. Marissa - she was filling in I guess on Labor Day Weekend and I found her class very challenging but well balanced. Lauren - is recently back from maternity leave. Her classes last week were super full! I really love her music selections. Harmony - I have always had a good class with Harmony but I rarely see her during the week, maybe she teaches earlier most days? All in all, I had been prevented from doing my weekly gym workouts from an injury. Getting back into it and seeing all my clothes fit easily again is worth every penny and my dedication to going at least 3x a week and I probably should go 4x a week, but for a monthly membership of $170 it works out to about $13 a class which is very economical. ~ Ms. Ali
