I learned about this place through a health and fitness event at my sister's elementary school and went with a friend to give it a try with the two free class passes we had. Initially I thought I'd signed up for a group class with a lot of people, but we were the only ones there for the class and it was like having a private session. As college students with a relatively low fitness level, we were not ready for what we signed up for. Regardless, Mark was an awesome instructor, super motivating, encouraging and friendly and definitely pushed us to our limits. Thank you for this wonderful experience! I have been going for the past 2 months, every Thursday for their Jump! class. What I liked was that it was a short class and I was like "yes I can do it". It's only 25min but I guarantee, you cannot do more than that even if you want to. The class is meant to increase the vertical for volleyball players but anyone who wants a good leg/butt workout should do it. The studio is big and new. They have a shower and a nice locker room. Every Thursday I cry just thinking how I'm gonna get tortured. Patricia laughs and smiles throughout the workout and just says "come on you can do it" while my legs are shaking. After my first class I could not walk for 3 days. No joke. I kept on going, thinking "if I skip any classes I'll get that pain again". Well fast forward 2 months. I now do 3 miles runs, something I was never able to do. I feel my legs being stronger. My knee is not bothering me anymore. It used to be a huge problem and the doctors just told me I need to strengthen my leg muscles and the pain will go away. I obviously ignored them. Well...turns out they were right. My legs look the same to me, but weird thing, I got 2 texts messages from girlfriends after posting photos of NYE where I was wearing a short dress and they both said "would have been weird to say this on Facebook, but your legs look so good!" read more

As a dancer and athlete, I need to keep my muscles stretched & strengthened to prevent injury. I have been so impressed with the structure & versatility of the classes offered. I highly recommend every client invest in a FMS evaluation (functional movement screen) to better evaluate muscle weaknesses and areas to improve on. I love this studio and the staff! I've gone to Yoga Athletex twice now, both through Class Pass. My first experience of the HIIT class was so much fun! The class size was 6 in total which allowed the instructor (Pamela) to give us a lot of attention and correction on form, etc. Pamela was awesome as well, super friendly and really easy to talk to and eases you into the workout really well. Second time was today, I ended up doing the same HIIT class (they have very similar HIIT circuits throughout the week but change them the following week). This time I received the same amount of encouragement, which made me realize this is just that type of environment and it wasn't just because it was my first time last time! I utilized the showers today as well - amazed by the hospitality. They are so kind and considerate and provided shampoo, condition, diff face washes, lotion, contact solution, personals, etc. Very 'homey' shower and locker room. Overall, all the staff is very friendly, great workouts, facility is clean and very welcoming. I highly recommend and would like to come back and try a diff HIIT workout! read more

I like how Yoga Athletex provides different yoga classes depending on the level of your practice or what you're looking for that day. The facility is brand new along with new equipment. Plain and simple, this gym is in the top 5 best things to happen to me in my life. If you're looking for a place that is absolutely NO JUDGEMENT, will work with you and help you regardless of how "in shape" you are, have previous injuries, or are just looking for a support system this place has it all! If you're trying to get in shape and shed a couple pounds I can guarantee that if you commit to this program, it will absolutely work for you! Within about 5-6 months I lost over 20 pounds and counting! The best news about that, is I did it the right way, with no quick fads, so it was safe and healthy for my body and I'm more likely to keep it off. If you're already convinced then read no further; however, if you still need a little bit more persuading let me go into a bit more detail. I was a former collegiate athlete with previous injuries, so I hurt all the time, from the moment I stepped out of bed until I finally crawled back into bed. Therefore, I quit working out because the only way I knew how to work out was lift heavy and put a lot of strain on my body, and therefore I gained quite a bit of weight. I was unhappy, unhealthy, and ultimately was in grief for losing the first love of my life, soccer. Yoga Athletex could not have come into my life at a better time! I started going once a week and then twice a week and now I'm there about 4 days a week. After much convincing and persuading the girls at Yoga Athletes convinced me to try yoga. I went in there very reluctantly, and came out wishing I had been practicing yoga my entire life. I haven't felt this great in years! After months of practicing I'm able to touch my toes! This may not seem like a great victory for some of you, but I've never been able to touch my toes in my entire life. Now I'm telling every single one of my friends they need to do yoga, whether they need help emotionally, mentally, or physically. By the way I was "that athlete" that thought yoga lame and pointless, talk about making me eat my own words. These women have helped pushed me to be my best and supported me in some of my most difficult times. Yoga Athletex isn't just a gym, it's a family!
