An efficient conveyor belt sushi (chain store). A tad bit expensive for what it is, but generally good vibe. Service was spotty, not attentive. Often had to flag someone down. The spicy seafood udon is nice though it's tiny (not much noodle in there). More like a small appetizer, not a regularly sized udon. Most of the stuff on the conveyor belt isn't really attractive. Order from their menu. Fruit and salad on the conveyor belt are OK. Salt and pepper calamari is good.

Saw all the cool lights and whole bunch of people here so it must be good right??? Welp we sat down and there was a conveyor belt that bowls of sushi were going by... ya ok that's cool. Hubs wanted spicy udon and i got couple trays of rolls. It was seriously the most overpriced lunch ever. I think i had like 6 pieces is sushi and a little bit of pork and the udon bowl was the smallest bowl I've seen for 28lbs. Plus they charge 1.5lbs just for tap water and it's not a bottle. WTH! I guess one way to stay skinny is to eat smaller bowls. But this is the best I guess we get for airport food. Overall we should have just gotten the to go trays (13lbs for sour 12 pieces) which we got for the plane ride home since i knew we where still hangry.

Yo sushi Yoooooooooo! If you are in an airport abroad while traveling abroad, look for a Yo Sushi! We don't have any in America, at least not that I'm aware of! I wish we did though because it is such an awesome concept. Basically you sit down in seats that are kind of bar style and there is a conveyer belt that is moving around all of the seats and a button to hit for a waiter/waitress to come if you need anything. The items are priced based on color so at the end they add up the amounts associated with the colors and that is the price. My best tip so that you don't have a huge bill is to fill up on the unlimited miso soup first. Which is vegan! Then grab some veggie rolls like the avocado cucumber rolls or some edamame! ( those are all vegan). I've noticed that usually most of the rolls have fish so if you don't see many veggie rolls coming out on the conveyer belt from the employees that are making the rolls, which you can watch. Then just ask the waiter/waitress to have them make it! Lastly, this is a quick stop for any traveler because the food is already made, and all you do is sit, pick form the many options already going around and Then pay! Don't forget! Order unlimited miso soup! You won't regret it!

Probably the worst sushi experience of my life. I will admit we were drawn to eat here because of the interesting sushi on the conveyor belts. They just keep circling around and you pick what you want. That being said the quality of the food was TERRIBLE. It was either over salted or just not that fresh. We had the different sushi and some sashimi too. I know england isnt known for its cuisine but that was hideous. I would never eat here again.

Great place to come for inexpensive airport food. I only wish they would open a location in Chicago! I love sushi but ironically I have not had any here. The food I have had is great; especially the chicken yakisoba!

Not the greatest sushi as the rice is very gummy. I also didn't like how the same options floating by on boats. I'd like more variety. And wow EXPENSIVE! $60 USD for a light lunch with no drinks.

Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Decor & Style: 5/5 For an airport restaurant this place is efficiently designed. Fast service, conveyor belt sushi, and you hit a button when you need a server to come over. Well decorated and modern with an inviting feel. Sushi tastes pretty good as well. Includes other items such as breakfast soups and ramen! Well priced!

I don't usually eat sushi when traveling but I decided to roll the dice and give it a try as I have eaten at Yo-Sushi at the Cambridge location previously. The real novilty here is getting to see little sample sized dishes pass by your table for a quick pick. This perfect if you are a visual person, in a hurry or like making impulse selections. I also like the water taps at the table for refilling an empty glass. All the dishes are added up by colour (color) so watch what you pick or you can rack up a hefty bill at the end. There is table service available with touch of a button if you can't seem to find that one thing tickles your fancy. This sushi is time stamped on top of the bowls to ensure freshness. The sushi is pretty good but I can't say it's awesome. For a family of four expect to pay around 130 pounds for a lunch but keep in mind, it is the airport, and it is sushi. If you don't feel like paying a lot for a bite at the airport, consider buying a sandwich and a water from Boots or WHSmith.

Staines didn't appear to have a great selection of restaurants but with Sushi Nara being as satisfying as it proved to be, they need not. A pleasantly generic decor gave no hint of the diversity of Sushi Nara's menu, not in Japanese cuisine as expected, but in a full-range of Korean fare as well. And because I didn't find the UK brimming with a great array of sushi (salmon and tuna seem to comprise 98% of the offerings), the Korean offerings were a welcome treat. The next question, as I'm suspect of places specializing in multiple cuisines, was: How good would that Korean fare (or Japanese fare) actually be? Good, quite good. The Nara Bento (£16.90) was a nice array of food: filling, fresh tasting, as varied as it needed to be, and well-presented. The Beef Dolsot Bibimbap (£9.50) and Kimchi (£2.20) were equally satisfying. I'd likely look askance were I to find a restaurant back home (San Francisco Bay Area) trading in both Japanese and Korean fare but here in Staines they pulled it off with mastery. If they opened up a second outpost in my neighborhood I'd be there.

We went along on a Thursday night, it was quite quiet, apparently uncharacteristically so according to our waitress. Straight away we received a friendly welcome, and the good service lasted all through our meal. I'm a vegetarian and ordered the vegetable sushi assortment, and a side of fried tofu. When my food arrived, I was amazed at how beautifully presented and fresh everything looked. The food didn't disappoint, it was tasty, fresh and left me feeling the way all good Japanese food does; full and content without feeling bloated or stuffed. My boyfriend had the spicy prawns and mixed sushi, he was blown away by the prawns, which were a special on the day we visited, and also very happy with the sushi. The price isn't super cheap, we paid about £15 per head, but we felt that for the quality of the food and the overall experience, it was more than fair. Will be recommending Oka to all my friends.
