My mother, and my Aunt and I wanted to eat at a casual cafeteria for brunch, so we went to the…read moreWestfield State Dining Commons. The food was splendid and mouth-watering. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner (Monday-Sunday.) The breakfast had the essentials such as eggs, bacon, home fries, pancakes, and oatmeal. Everything on the breakfast menu looked good especially the waffles. The waffles you had to make yourself because you can add whatever you would like onto it such as blueberries, strawberries, whip cream, and chocolate chips. The waffles were flavorful and sweet. The Dining Commons are in the middle of the college estate so you have to drive around for a little bit to find a good spot. We could not find a spot that was close until one of the college students left. We took that spot and overall, it wasn't a bad parking wait but the 2 minutes driving around to find a close enough spot could've been the time I was eating. The food looked very appealing sitting in nice trays or in stands or bars where you could quickly grab and go. I chose the eggs, bacon, home fries, and waffles. The home fries were red with a half-burnt crust. They had a crunchy outside yet a moist, soft inside. The bacon was crunchy and chewy, exactly how I wanted it. It was greasy and salty too. Everything was heavenly from the breakfast to the desserts and it was so amazingly tasteful that I was full until the next day. Some of the desserts were rich and creamy while the dinner was savory and zesty. Every food either is vegan, vegetarian, local produce, sustainable, gluten free, or whole grain. Almost all of the foods there are so incredibly good for you that it's probably the best place for you to eat. The atmosphere of the room was very lively and bright with the college students in the morning, afternoon, or night trying to catch a meal before classes and having a good luncheon with their friends. Yet it is also calm and relaxing as you know that you don't have to wait on waiters or waitresses to bring your meals and drinks. It is nice to know that you can stuff your face and can still be in control of the waiting time for getting anything you want. Compared to restaurants, I think that this place is more effective and independently much better. At restaurants you probably have to wait in line for a long time just to wait on a server for some more time whereas at the dining commons it takes up to 2 minutes to find a spot and go straight inside, pay for how many people there are, and then eat right away. I recommend this place to everyone who likes to sit down and have a good time but eat whatever they want and be in control of getting what they want, and when they want it.

The space itself is big, with several areas for different classes. All of the equipment is frequently inspected and maintained- when any tape gets worn on an apparatus they remove and repair it. The intro to aerials class gave me confidence on the trapeze, fabric, and Lyra. I've moved onto to level 2, and there are so many other advanced classes for me to chose from! Performances are always optional and there are classes for all ages.

If you see a one star or low review here around this time, let the buyer beware…read more Here are the things you should know from someone who has actually been to the studio: 1) SHOW is an amazing, respectful, and welcoming environment for people of all backgrounds. They have extensive policy written up on inclusivity, diversity, and safety - all of which is available for anyone to read on their website at www.showcircusstudio.com. 2) Their teachers care about their students and are highly trained circus professionals. Many of them went through the professional track program at the New England Center for Circus Arts, are members of the professional circus organizations, and are active in furthering their circus education and training both on their own and through the studio. They go through monthly staff training as well as additional off-site trainings to constantly improve their skills and give a high quality, recreational circus education for students of all ages, body types, fitness levels, skill levels, races, economic backgrounds, etc. 3) Show is a recreational space. They don't expect you to do back flips when you walk in the door or even after your finish classes. You progress through a carefully planned out and studio standardized curriculum and are going at your own pace. This means you aren't forced through a leveling up system, but take a class until you're ready to move on to more advanced skills. In this way, your only competition is with yourself. 4) If other reviewers think the space is dirty and poorly organized, I recommend going in and checking out the space for yourself. Chris, the co-owner, does an amazing job of organizing the space along with Henry, the other co-owner. The lobby is GORGEOUS and the studio itself is perfect for recreational circus skills - vibrant colors, clean, and rigged to perfection for easy changes between classes. I'm very impressed. I highly recommend SHOW to anyone, especially to the LGBTQIA community - as SHOW and its staff are strong allies to the community. I wouldn't feel safe in a gym situation and I've never felt unsafe at SHOW. I cannot speak highly enough of them and my experiences with the studio.

Ken himself called my child a liar ! I asked him if he was serious , he responded YES! My child went on to get hurt because the staff failed to do his/her job ! His answer was " the child is known to be a liar ! " He said this to me himself today when I called to make a complaint! We as mandated reporter are not supposed to dismiss a child claims because we dislike the child ! That's what the staff member did, because I was on speaker at the time this event happened!! I know what happened! Ken wasn't there (of course) because I asked to speak to Ken at the time ! Unfortunately you & your staff failed as a mandated reporters ! Worst of all the owner rather call the child a liar ( who went to his staff member for help ) to make things right !!! A simple I'm sorry I'll make sure I'll handle it ! ( not that my child is a liar ) because that's what he did ! Shame on this establishment! The staff member was out of line & because of his staff member a child WAS hurt who knows how many others ! A child he called a lair today !!!! Beware of this establishment!!! If your child comes to them for help , they will call your child a liar & claim they care !!!! I take no pleasure in making this yelp , however my child was hurt not his ! could have been prevented! Instead he called my child a liar ! And more parents need to be aware before they make the choice to bring your children to them . All we wanted was to make him aware of what happened. he decided to call the child ( who was hurt after the staff member failed to do their job ) a liar ?! you sir failed as instructor & a protector of the children , this sir is not Honorable!!!! You took the art to protect not to cover up ! This establishment is the reason our children won't come forward! No matter what you convince yourself sir of , it will never change that a child was hurt after your staff member called him/her a lair and did not report it ! Ken himself told me my child is known as a liar! Wow wrong response to an irate parent whose child was hurt & who called you for at least some concerns ! Thats what this comes down to & he failed to understand that!! He can respond like he did on the other review. Unfortunately that will never change that a child was hurt your staff member called could've done the right thing but they didn't! They decided to call the child a liar ! Shame on you Sir . You failed the children you claim to care for !
