I've "retired" from gymnastics now, but I wish I lived close enough to take my own daughters here. I did gymnastics on the same team as the current owner and she's not just an amazing gymnast, but a great person. When I reached out with a gymnastics question -- about a challenge I was having with my girls' current gym -- she was quick to respond and provided great advice. fuck this gym. that's all i can say. at least twice a week i have a dream that i am back in the…read moregym, the coaches talking shit about there students, whispering behind clip boards while staring and laughing at us. i will never forgive them for the amount of tears i have lost knowing that the dreams i've had since i was a little girl are over due to the unfair behavior they have shown towards me. just last week i was crying in my moms arms while saying "mom it's not fair". they made my parents spend thousands of dollars to fly me to nationals just for them to kick me off the team the next week. they looked me in my eyes at nationals saying "you got this" while in the back of there head they knew i was gonna be gone just a week later. i know that i might sound like a bitch but they left my family with an email consisting of no information of why i was being kicked off. no reason. i was the girl that always was friendly and got to know every knew girl that came to the gym, asking questions about them and truly making them feel welcome in the toxic environment. when you are a kid you don't know much about what going on around you. but lucky for me i was 10-13 when i was here so i knew just how fucked up this gym was. the only reason that i could think of as to why i was being asked to leave was that i was rude to coaches, but if you were in my postion with coaches forcing you to do skills tou we're not ready for, talking about you badly with other coaches in-front of me, you would understand why i was rude the times i was. after this i felt horrible about myself thinking that i was this horrible person. i'm not. they made me think i was though. this gym is the only one in the area so to me it did not feel like they kicked me out of the gym but they kicked me out of my dream, my favorite thing in the world, gymnastics. i know i can't tell you what to do so all i am doing is leaving my honest review, the yelp stile. thank you guys for reading. i hope you can think about what i had to say and hopefully stear clear from your child getting as hurt as i did. this has messed me up to the point we're i don't feel like myself, and all i can hope for is that no other kid has to go through that. love you guys.

Also my daughters had attended classes for 4 years there.But this time, it was a whole different vibe. Chris was super helpful when we were setting up , but once the party started, Taylor took over and it was a complete flip . She was talking to the kids in a tone that was scolding. It felt like they were in trouble or something. It wasn't just the kids, she was short and rude with the grown ups too. I get it, safety first, but it's a birthday party, not boot camp! When we were trying to celebrate and have some fun, Taylor was stressing about everything and we were being treated like children. Even me, the person who paid for party was not allowed to touch pizza and cake without her basically blocking my access as if it was her very own personal pizza and cake. The worst part was when my daughter was sitting on her cousin's lap for the Happy Birthday song and Taylor scolded and embarrassed telling her to get off and sit down. My daughter looks so sad in all of her photos and videos in some pictures she's even visibly crying. What really bothered me was that we were paying customers, just like the VIP party that was coming next. We had paid for our time slot, and we were still within it. But despite that, the staff kept mentioning the upcoming VIP party, making us feel like we were being pushed out the door. Our business wasn't valued! I hope Pioneer Athletics takes this feedback seriously and works on making their parties more fun and less stressful. I want my daughter to have amazing memories of her birthday, not memories of a host yelling at her. This experience was a letdown, and it's unfortunate because there were 14 other kids at her party with their parents and they could have considered having their parties there or enrolling their children. However, they shared the same concerns as I did. Here are my suggestions: I think Pioneer Athletics should consider revising their party format to allow for a more relaxed and enjoyable experience. With the current timeframe for obstacles , everything felt rushed the kids didn't get much time in the ninja portion and that was the whole point. The kids were just getting into the activities when it was time to wrap up, and it's clear the host were stressed about getting everything done on timez. If they could offer longer party slots or more flexible scheduling, I think it would make a huge difference. That way, everyone could enjoy the celebration without feeling like they're being herded through activities and out the door. It's definitely something to think about if they want to create a more positive and memorable experience for their party guests.

I'm not exaggerating at all when I say that SHOW has totally changed my life, greatly improved my self-confidence, and totally increased my overall happiness. SHOW's classes present a unique opportunity to progressively develop really fun skills over several weeks. You would be hard pressed to find other spaces to develop this level of skills in tumbling, handstands, aerial apparatuses, etc. anywhere else. It's an amazing way to get a workout while having a ton of FUN and feeling super loved and supported! Not only that, but SHOW is a loving community of humans from the teachers right down to the students, of which there are many regulars. You can come in wherever you are at in terms of skills or openness to new people and new experiences, and you will be welcomed, asked what your preferred pronouns are, and checked in with regularly about how your body is feeling. I have never found another environment in which to build strength and stamina where this is the case. I HIGHLY recommend taking a tumbling or partner acrobatics class with Tara. These are super fun and playful skills to practice while building your strength and dynamic power, and Tara is a really talented and supportive teacher. You won't regret it and you might even get sucked deeper and deeper into classes at SHOW like I have!

The training area upstairs is also great for climbing-specific training, with a variety of hangboards, a kilterboard, and more. I really like the vibes here, and the music is great 99% of the time. It has been a great pleasure watching my children grow as dancers and also as individuals. This school is very professional and does a great job making you feel part of an extended family. I have so many new friends and always feel welcome and comfortable. I can only say great things about the staff. They know what they are doing and have been a family of dancers and a school for over 75 years. I have always recommended this school to family and friends. The recital is a true show in the sense of Broadway and my family comes from all over to enjoy this spectacular event. I am one proud dance dad!! As for a previous comment I saw regarding the rules; it is clear every year what is expected of our children and ourselves every year when we register. It is in writing and you sign it. I think for you to say how horrible your experience was and then say you went back to register again shows that you see the quality of the school. My kids are always fed before the show and during intermission and have never been told they cannot eat. Your child is with you and is not left with the staff of the school. So if you brought your sick husband to auditorium full of people ad could not find a baby sitter for your youngest is sad and is your responsibility as an adult and parent. I also have never had an issue with my family seeing my children during the show. You are over exaggerating everything.

Riley's has shown my daughter to also care about the surrounding community, with the work they do for the local loaves and fishes. As far as the first review, I have signed the rules every year, when you make another decision you meed to own it. My daughter actually was sick at a recital when she was 7.. She vomited multiple times. They were more than helpful with the situation, allowed her to have food and drink to help the situation. We also had the option to leave if she needed to. However, my daughter did not want to, so we made the best of it. The next day she was not feeling better and we weren't able to attend to recital. The staff at Riley's wanted to make sure Catherine was feeling better. They were never mean or inappropriate. The staff and co-directors have always been respectful and wonderful.
